Chapter 1557: Chapter 1557: Paying Respects
Qi Hao felt a little embarrassed being asked. "Big brother, I just feel it’s too much of a waste of time."
Qi Yan nodded; he was a Pure Sword Cultivator. It could be said that few had seen him use a Spell. So, subconsciously, he felt he should use the sword. He forgot his brothers were still Magic Cultivators.
"It’s okay, I just think that with your swordsmanship, you could completely eliminate the Flower Striped Tiger.
Doing this is right, constantly maintaining your stamina."
"Mhm, I’ve remembered."
Putting away the Flower Striped Tiger, the five siblings searched for its den. Upon entering, the smell was quite unpleasant, and they quickly looked around, discovering two Storage Rings and more than ten Storage Bags.
After coming out, they threw down an Array Plate not far away. This place was the Flower Striped Tiger’s territory, so no other demon beasts would come to disturb them. Now they were eager to understand this area, so these Storage Bags and Rings were the best means to do so.
Perhaps they had been here for a long time; the owner had died, leaving no Divine Sense. The Storage Rings quickly opened.
"Are the cultivators here pretty wealthy?" Qi Wen asked, finding her Storage Ring filled mostly with Spirit Stones, with few Jade Scroll Books and some Elixirs.
There weren’t any auxiliary attacks or weapons; they had likely been used up in dueling with the Flower Striped Tiger.
The four brothers also took out Jade Scroll Books.
Everyone read seriously and learned the deceased cultivator’s identity.
They remained unmoved for two whole days, quickly absorbing information from this place.
After reading, they placed everything in a Storage Bag to later show to the sect’s disciples. They would surely explore everywhere this time; it wouldn’t do to look like ignorant bumpkins, as that would be too embarrassing.
"Let’s go, we’ll descend the mountain."
Retracting the Array Plate, the speed of the siblings increased significantly. However, Spirit Plants still needed collecting just like before.
Qi Hong had the idea of transplanting them back home; who knows if they’ll come in handy later?
Five days later, the siblings met Feng Yan and his group.
Qi Wen gave them a Jade Scroll Book.
"Ancestor, did you encounter a cultivator inside?"
"No, we killed the Flower Striped Tiger and found them in its den."
"Are you planning to descend the mountain?"
"Yeah, there’s nothing much inside Fenghua Mountain, and not much danger either. Go see for yourself; the highest rank we’ve seen was the Eighth Rank Demon Beast."
Coming here, one naturally needs to take a look; cultivators fear missing out.
After parting ways, the five siblings maintained their previous speed, gathering Spirit Plants as usual, though nothing precious came up.
Ten days later, they descended the mountain and saw two Luminous Houses. The siblings returned to their own.
Su Yuanyuan casually read idle books, as her Divine Sense couldn’t be used nor could she enter seclusion. Seeing the children return, she felt at ease.
Qi Yan handed her a Karma Fruit, "Mom, eat this fruit; the taste should be good. And let the long-armed ape plant these branches."
Su Yuanyuan put the branches away and took a bite of the Karma Fruit. "It’s okay, no special taste; what is this Karma Fruit?"
Qi Hong explained it again. Su Yuanyuan nodded, planning to bring it back for the sects later.
Since they were all home, they waited for fellow disciples, so the brothers practiced swordsmanship outside.
Qi Yan guided them, and siblings would also spar with each other.
Tian Yan found it quite interesting and came out to join the lively scene.
He wasn’t a Sword Cultivator, but his swordsmanship was still very good.
Suppressing his cultivation, he sparred with the siblings.
He marveled inside, feeling they were destined for great achievements.
Su Yuanyuan was bored too; Tan Shaoting had prepared a rocking chair for her, and she sat not far away watching.
Tian Yan was excited, feeling invigorated like he hadn’t been in a long time. He pointed out their flaws, watching the five siblings improve continuously, and felt a bit jealous.
He certainly didn’t have this ability in his youth. Even Huai’en didn’t. That’s the difference.
Sparring with Qi Wen was surprising too. At first, he thought this girl was pampered and indulged by everyone, but he had seen her competitions and knew she was a talented child. He hadn’t expected her insight into swordsmanship to be so high.
So he provided her with far more guidance, which she quickly corrected, never repeating the same mistake.
Tan Shaoting had become like a cook and a caretaker.
Tian Yan joined them for meals, even if sometimes it was just common food, but found it quite enjoyable.
Ten days later, Tian Yan paused. "Guests have arrived."
Upon hearing the news, Qi Wen put away her sword and entered the Luminous House with her mother.
The mother and daughter weren’t fond of socializing.
Su Yuanyuan’s Divine Sense had somewhat recovered, and Tan Shaoting treated her injuries daily.
The couple had discussed this; if not for refining the Ice Lotus, perhaps Su Yuanyuan wouldn’t exist now.
Only Su Yuanyuan knows the dangers.
When she captured Qiong Qi, she truly felt she almost got obliterated.
The Ice Lotus had come out to heal and would need refining again later, and all five kids needed to refine it to protect their Sea of Consciousness.
It’s too important; injuries are too painful. She doesn’t want the kids to suffer such pain.
"Qi Wen, if you’re not busy, go into seclusion; disciples might not return for ten days to half a month. Refine an Ice Lotus to protect your Sea of Consciousness."
"Alright, the first wave of people has come. More will follow gradually. I dislike this."
"Mhm, then enter seclusion."
Qi Wen entered the space, with the long-armed ape there to take care, there wouldn’t be a problem.
Tian Yan sat to the side, waiting for the visitors. The brothers stood behind him.
Three people soon appeared, one with Nascent Soul Cultivation and two with Golden Core Cultivation.
"Senior, I am Wu Yi from the Wu Family."
Tian Yan nodded. "Mhm. What brings you here?"
"I didn’t expect senior to come here; didn’t welcome you properly. Is there anything you might need from our Wu Family?"
Tian Yan nodded slightly. "No, just bringing juniors out to see."
"I see. Our Wu Family is near Fenghua Mountain; after your training ends, senior may visit and stay."
Tian Yan nodded softly; given the chance, he would take the disciples over to gain some insight.
"I won’t disturb senior then; the Wu Family welcomes you."
After sending away the three people, Tian Yan asked, "Qi Hao, what do you think?"
"Uncle, I don’t sense anything off; there likely isn’t any significant issue, just invited you over?"
The other brothers thought the same way.
Tian Yan smiled, "Mhm, once Feng Yan descends, we’ll visit the Wu Family. If memory serves me right, the Wu Family used to be the largest family by the Outer Sea; wonder how they’re doing now."
The Tan brothers naturally had no objection; anywhere was fine. It would be good to see and compare the Four Arts here.
