Because of the breakfast situation, Qin Xue ended up making it by herself, while he went out on an errand, but Qin Xue had no idea what he was doing or even that he had stepped out.

Therefore, Qin Xue was making breakfast by herself, unaware of what her husband was up to, and only realized he wasn’t home when she called for breakfast.

She didn’t know about this matter: "Where’s your dad?"

"He went out," the three children answered their mother’s question in unison.

"Where did he go?" Qin Xue looked at her three children, wondering how fond they were of the pup, not saying anything clear to her.

"Don’t know. He only said to let you know that we shouldn’t wait for him to eat, just go ahead and eat after it’s ready," Yu Ze recalled his father’s words in response to his mother’s question; that’s indeed what he said.

"Did he just go out without mentioning what he was doing or where he was going, and only told you to go ahead and eat?" Qin Xue felt this wasn’t like Chu Molin.

"That’s correct, Mom. What’s wrong?" Yu Ze didn’t see any issue with his father’s instructions, though his mother’s expression suggested something was off.

"It’s nothing. It’s just that this sort of thing hasn’t happened before," Qin Xue remembered that Chu Molin would always tell her when he went somewhere; she wondered when this changed.

"I think Dad might not have wanted to disturb you while you were cooking breakfast," Cohen thought his father wasn’t keeping secrets from his mother, but just wanted her to stay focused and not be distracted.

"Yeah, that’s what Dad meant. He even said we shouldn’t tell you right now," Yu Chen chimed in.

The children stayed in place with the puppy while their father was out; they all kept his words in mind.

"Alright, I’ve got it. Now quickly go wash your hands and eat," Qin Xue nodded after hearing them. To her, Chu Molin had gone out, perhaps feeling guilty for not telling her in person given last night’s events, which she wasn’t aware of.

She was curious where Chu Molin could have gone.

In the past, she wouldn’t have been suspicious, but now that he was without a job, his actions inevitably raised her doubts.

Actually, Chu Molin hadn’t gone far; he was out looking for office space. He wanted to start a company but couldn’t afford much right now. He hoped to expand later, so the first step was to rent a small office.

Qin Xue was the one who suggested getting an office, so he wanted to start small and expand when he had more people to build a bigger team.

Chu Molin checked out several places, ultimately settling on one that wasn’t very large but had a great location.

However, the rent was quite high. After comparing other places, he felt this one suited him best.

He finally said he would discuss it with his family before bringing the money to rent.

The landlord agreed readily after hearing his plan.

"Chu Molin, I’ve kept some food for you in the pot. Help yourself," Qin Xue was busy figuring out solutions for matters at the clothing factory when she noticed Chu Molin returning and called to him.

"Okay," Chu Molin ate first without disturbing her right away.

No matter how it went, he had to tell her, just postponed it for now.

Qin Xue looked over her writing, then packed her things, preparing to mail them out later.

Though, addressing this matter was not her top priority. She wanted to ask about Chu Molin’s situation first.
