Chapter 100: Chapter 100: Shining Light Liberation Army

I locked onto the exact spatial coordinates of the subterranean hallway leading to the containment cells.

Teleportation (Tier 1).

Snap.

The stifling desert air on the roof was instantly replaced by the damp stench of the underground bunker. The fluorescent lights flickered overhead, casting a sickly yellow pallor on the peeling concrete walls.

I materialized directly behind two heavily armed guards standing outside a heavy steel blast door.

They didn’t even have time to turn around.

Telekinesis (Tier 1).

I exerted my will upon their physical forms with a fraction of the 1,000 ton capacity at my disposal.

The invisible force seized the two guards.

The telekinetic pressure crushed inward from all sides simultaneously. Their assault rifles snapped in half, the steel receivers folding like cheap tin. Their tactical vests ruptured. Their bones turned to powder in a microsecond.

They were compacted into two basketball sized spheres of biological matter and crumpled metal before a single sound of alarm could escape their throats. The spheres dropped to the concrete floor with a heavy thud.

I stepped over them and faced the heavy steel blast door.

I raised my right hand, curling my fingers into a loose fist. I reached out with my telekinesis, gripping the locking mechanisms, the reinforced hinges and the structural integrity of the door itself.

I pulled.

The door was violently ripped from the concrete wall, taking chunks of rebar and stone with it. I tossed the two ton slab of steel aside as effortlessly as tossing a crumpled piece of paper.

It slammed into the far wall of the corridor, embedding itself deep into the masonry.

I stepped into the containment lab.

Alarms instantly began to blare, a rhythmic siren filling the cavernous room. Red strobe lights bathed the area in the color of blood.

The room was filled with makeshift medical equipment, torture devices disguised as testing apparatus and four glass fronted containment cells.

The four Supe terrorists were inside, clearly agitated by the alarms.

One of them, a massive brute with skin that looked like hardened volcanic rock, roared in Arabic, smashing his fists against the reinforced glass of his cell.

Another was a thin man hovering three feet off the ground, a vortex of razor sharp sand and wind swirling violently around his body inside the containment pod.

The third was a woman whose skin was glowing with a bioluminescent green, acidic saliva dripping from her jaw and sizzling against the steel floor of her cage.

The fourth... I recognized the power signature from the files. It was an explosive Supe, similar to the one known as Naqib. His body was a living bomb, glowing with highly unstable thermal energy.

"Intruder!" a voice screamed from the raised control booth at the back of the room. A half dozen scientists and armed handlers scrambled for their weapons, aiming down at me.

Bullets rained down from the booth. 7.62mm rounds struck my dark clothing.

They hit my Tier 1 Super Defence and flattened instantly, falling to the floor like harmless rain.

I looked up at the control booth.

Electrokinesis (Tier 1).

I raised my left hand, pointing two fingers at the booth. I channeled an omega level current, pulling ambient static from the arid desert air above and compressing it into a single point.

A blinding bolt of blue white lightning, thick as a tree trunk, erupted from my fingers.

The lightning struck the control booth with the force of a localized thunderstorm.

The reinforced glass shattered outward. The electrical surge instantly incinerated the guards and scientists, their bodies flashing into charred skeletons in the span of a heartbeat. The computers and control panels exploded in a shower of sparks and molten plastic.

The control booth was silenced.

Now, with the control panels destroyed, the electromagnetic locks on the containment cells disengaged. The heavy glass doors slid open automatically.

The four terrorists stepped out into the main lab, their eyes locked on me. They were driven mad by the painful application of the unstable V in their veins.

The volcanic brute charged first. He crossed the room with surprising speed, his heavy stone fists raised, intent on crushing me into the floor.

I waited until he was five feet away.

Super Speed (Tier 1).

The brute hung suspended in mid air.

I stepped casually to the side, bypassing his charge. I raised my hand and placed it flat against the back of his stony neck. His exterior was tough, designed to withstand anti tank weaponry.

Biokinesis (Tier 1).

I sent a bio electric command directly through his hardened epidermis, bypassing the armor and accessing his central nervous system.

I commanded the vital synapses connecting his brain to his spinal cord to simply cease functioning.

I rewrote the biological code of his life support system, telling his heart that it no longer needed to beat, telling his lungs they no longer needed air.

I released the super speed.

Time snapped back.

The brute’s forward momentum carried him forward, but the life had already left his body. He crashed face first into the concrete floor, skidding to a halt, dead before he hit the ground.

The sand vortex Supe shrieked, directing his swirling tornado of razor sharp silica directly at me. The sand blasted against my face, tearing at my clothes.

It would have flayed a normal human to the bone in seconds. To me, it felt like a light breeze.

I looked through the swirling sand directly into the man’s eyes.

Cryokinesis (Tier 1).

I froze the moisture in the air around him, dropping the temperature inside his personal vortex to absolute zero. The swirling sand instantly ceased its motion, locked in a sphere of instantaneous frost.

The man inside gasped as the super cooled air filled his lungs, flash freezing his respiratory system. He fell from his levitating position, shattering into a dozen frozen pieces as he hit the concrete floor.

The acidic woman lunged, spitting a stream of highly corrosive green fluid at my chest.

Teleportation (Tier 1).

I vanished, the acid splashing harmlessly onto the floor where I had just stood, eating rapidly through the concrete.

I reappeared directly behind her. Before she could turn, I utilized my Tier 1 Strength. I chopped the side of my hand into the base of her neck. The sheer kinetic force severed her head entirely, sending it tumbling across the room while her body collapsed in a heap of acidic blood.

The final terrorist, the explosive Supe, realized he was outmatched. His eyes widened in terror. He threw his arms wide, his chest glowing a blinding orange. He was initiating his self destruct sequence, intending to vaporize the entire bunker and me with it.

Telepathy (Tier 1).

I slammed into his consciousness with the force of a psychic sledgehammer. I bypassed his panic and seized direct control of his motor functions and his power matrix.

Stop, I commanded.

The orange glow in his chest sputtered.

He froze, his arms still outstretched, his mind locked in a psychic vice grip. He was a prisoner in his own body, his eyes darting frantically in their sockets, unable to complete the detonation command.

I walked over to him. I drew the carbon fiber knife from my tactical belt.

With a single thrust, I drove the blade up through his jaw and directly into his brain, ending the threat instantly and preventing the catastrophic energy release.

The bunker fell silent again, the only sound the sizzling of the acid on the floor and the crackle of the ruined electronics in the control booth.

The combat engagement had lasted exactly fourteen seconds.

I stepped over the bodies and moved toward the heavy vault door at the rear of the lab. My X-Ray vision confirmed what lay beyond.

I gripped the vault door and tore it away with my telekinesis, tossing the heavy steel aside.

Inside the climate controlled vault sat ten reinforced cases. I opened one. Nestled in custom cut foam were dozens of vials of Compound V. The lifeblood of Vought’s empire, smuggled thousands of miles away.

With a thought, all ten cases vanished from the physical realm, secured safely in the system inventory.

I didn’t bother setting charges to burn the facility. The Syrian military or the CIA would eventually find the slaughtered bunker. Let them marvel at the overwhelming brutality of the ghost that had visited them.
