Chapter 180: Chapter 180: I’m Really Not Injured
Lu Xinyue wanted to follow them to check on her sister-in-law, but her older brother had left her in charge of the situation. Frustrated, Lu Xinyue could only stomp her foot before going to call the police.
Before the police arrived, Lu Xinyue stood guard over Wang Siying outside, determined not to let the woman who made her sister-in-law "bleed" escape.

After handing Wang Siying over to the police and dispersing the neighbors gathered at their front door, Lu Xinyue rushed inside.
’I wonder how my sister-in-law is doing, after my brother carried her inside!’
"Dad, Mom, why are you two sitting here?"
The moment Lu Xinyue stepped inside, she saw Lu Shaoping and Sun Yufeng shifting restlessly in the living room. ’Even if Dad has to stay out for propriety’s sake, shouldn’t Mom be in there taking care of her injured daughter-in-law?’
"The second your brother came in, he carried your sister-in-law into their room and shut the door. We have no idea what’s going on either!"
Sun Yufeng was frantic, but since they couldn’t even get into the room, they had no way of knowing Shen Nian’s condition. All they could do was fret helplessly outside.
All they could do now was wait for Lu Cheng to open the door so they could see what was happening.

After carrying Shen Nian inside, Lu Cheng went straight into their bedroom and swung the door shut behind him. He didn’t even notice Father Lu and Mrs. Lu, who had followed him in. His entire focus was on the injured Shen Nian.
Seeing Lu Cheng about to put her on the bed, Shen Nian quickly cried out.
"No, don’t put me on the bed! You’ll stain the sheets."
As she spoke, she grabbed Lu Cheng’s arm, afraid he’d move too quickly and set her down on the bed.
"It doesn’t matter if they get dirty. You’re what’s important."
"No, no! Put me down. I want to take a shower and clean up. Can you find me some clean clothes?"
Shen Nian’s clothes were soaked through with blood. She’d feel uncomfortable all over if she didn’t take a shower.
"A shower? Don’t be ridiculous. In your condition? What do you mean, a shower! Let me see, where exactly are you hurt?"
"I’m not hurt."
"If you’re not hurt, why are you bleeding? What is there to be shy about with me!"
Lu Cheng assumed Shen Nian was lying about not being hurt because the injury was in a sensitive area and she was too shy to let him see.
"I’m really not hurt!"
Shen Nian was exasperated. ’If an experienced playboy were standing before her, he would have figured out her situation ages ago. But no, she had the innocent Lu Cheng instead!’
Just as Shen Nian finished speaking, she felt another warm gush from below. Her brow tightened, and with a sudden jolt, she leaped out of Lu Cheng’s arms, darted into the bathroom, and quickly shut the door.
"Don’t forget to find me some clothes!"
