Chapter 215: How Are We Going To Settle This?

Fortunately, after much persuasion, Second Uncle Han agreed to go to the county to deliver the seafood with them.

With her second uncle’s help, it did not take more than an hour for Han Ruochen to arrive in the county. Since the seafood that she had caught was too expensive, neither of them went to the state-run restaurant. Instead, she went to look for Master Bo at the Emerald Pavilion.

She thought that it would be difficult for her to wait for Master Bo, but it was as if the man were waiting for her. The second she relayed her identity to the watchman, she was invited right into the resting area of the pavilion. Han Ruochen was quite surprised, as she had not expected such a promotion out of nowhere, but she was not complaining. It was better to jump to the front of the line rather than wait for Master Bo to show up.

"Ruochen, you are finally here. I have been waiting for you for quite some time." Master Bo came bouncing inside the resting area. There was a boyish grin on his face, and he looked ten years younger when he saw Han Ruochen and the boxes that were kept on her sides. Just one look and he knew that she had brought something good with her, and that alone was enough to make him beam. Ah, it seemed like he was going to have another show-off session in front of the other chefs.

Humph, those old fools were going on about how he was being way too optimistic. Even if Han Ruochen were lucky, there was no way she would be able to bring good things every now and then. After all, even luck had its own limit. But he knew Han Ruochen very well. The woman was skilled and smart. She wouldn’t have come to the Emerald Pavilion if it were not something good.

Han Ruochen had no idea that Master Bo was actually waiting for her to open the boxes.

She couldn’t help but smile when she saw Master Bo being so welcoming toward her. It was like she was coming to see an elder rather than an acquaintance with whom she had a partnership. "I apologise for the delay. There were some things that I needed to deal with at home." She did not want to tell Master Bo about the messy circumstances of her family and simply laid out an excuse.

Master Bo also knew that Han Ruochen must be dealing with something, or else she would not have been missing for these past few days. He, however, did not ask anything and simply pointed to the boxes that Han Ruochen had brought to the pavilion and asked, "What kind of surprise did you prepare for me this time around?"

He was very excited when he thought about the good things that Han Ruochen had brought him these past few days. He knew that Han Ruochen was very skilled in catching seafood, and there must be something good inside the boxes. But what? This question added mystery to the entire thing and made Master Bo very excited.

Looking at his excited face, Han Ruochen knew that there was no way she could delay any longer. She simply shook her head, feeling a little helpless and went to open the lids of the boxes one by one. As soon as she flipped the lids open, Master Bo sucked in a breath.

As the head chef of the Emerald Pavilion, he had seen a lot of things. But this time, even he was surprised; Han Ruochen was actually able to catch the snow-skin grouper! A snow-skin grouper! The elites would go crazy for this one. The last time he saw one was when his father was still the head chef in another restaurant, and it was quite a sensation as far as he could remember.

Now that he was looking at the snow-skin grouper again, he could feel his fingertips trembling. He knew one thing for sure, and that was—he was about to make some big splashes in the kitchen!

"Ruochen! Oh, my dear! You have no idea what kind of treasure you have brought for your uncle." Master Bo was so happy that his eyes were shining. But Han Ruochen was not done yet. She flipped the lids of the remaining containers, and soon Master Bo’s eyes were attracted to the Imperial Lobsters, and he forgot all about the snow skin grouper, and his gaze remained fixated on the lobsters that Han Ruochen had brought with her.

"Ohhh! Ohhhh! Ohhhhh!" Master Bo’s eyes went wide as he looked at the Imperial Lobsters. He counted them one by one and was stunned to see that Han Ruochen had actually collected more than twenty lobsters!

He was so excited that he rushed forward and picked up one of the Imperial lobsters and laughed like a maniac. "This... This... Ahahaha! Ruochen, you have no idea what you have done. With this single lobster alone, I can boast for like an entire century, and you actually brought twenty-nine of them!"

Han Ruochen did not say anything and touched her nose guiltily. She actually kept one of the Imperial Lobsters because she wanted to share the good things with her family. Today, Han Jianyou would be returning home for two days, and she wanted to keep one of the lobsters with her to give a decent meal to her hard-working brother.

If Master Bo knew that she was keeping such a big lobster for her family to eat, then he would call her wasteful for sure. She pursed her lips and kept this secret in her mind, or else she was worried that she would be scolded for no reason.

Master Bo had no idea what was going on in Han Ruochen’s mind. He nodded with satisfaction when he saw the goods that Han Ruochen had delivered and said to her, "Alright, Ruochen. You have really surpassed yourself. Tell Uncle how you want to settle this bill."
