Chapter 191: Han Xuehan (II)

"This is what you owe to her!" 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖

"What do I owe her? Mom, I did not kill her mother nor did I make her father abandon her. Ultimately, it was the decision of Han Ziyan’s father not to raise her." a mocking sneer flashed in Han Ruochen’s eyes as she stated her facts clearly. "You blame me but I am innocent. I have given into her for more than twenty years of my life what else do you want me to do? Do you want me to go and beg her irresponsible father to take care of her? Tell me, what can I do to make you stop?"

Meng Yunhan’s face turned red. She said to Han Ruochen, "You are talking nonsense. From where did you hear that her father is irresponsible? You are ruining someone’s reputation by your nonsense."

"If he is not irresponsible, then what is he? He does not care about his daughter and lives his life without caring about her. My father has done more than enough for her and you still blame him, Mom. Why is it that a man who has done nothing for Ziyan is a good man but my father, who has done so much for her, is nothing in your eyes?" Han Ruochen’s eyes flashed and for a moment she couldn’t stop herself from asking the one question that she had kept in her heart.

Though the ones who ruined their family were Han Ziyan and Yun Xinye, her mother was just as responsible. Who knows whether her eyes were blinded by lard or something but she only cared about Yun Xinye and why she did that. Han Ruochen never understood it. Why would this woman even care about Yun Xinye so much even when she knew that there was nothing good about him? Han Ziyan was taken care of by the Han family and yet her mother continued blaming them till they all died.

She even said that it was their retribution. What kind of retribution? What wrong did they even do?

"You—"

Meng Yunhan was so angry that she raised her hand to slap Han Ruochen on the face but before she could even touch her, Han Ruochen narrowed her eyes and said to Meng Yunhan coldly, "Mom, I will advise you to not touch me. If you hit me, then I will definitely tell dad about it. If Dad finds out that you made me take the money out while Ziyan was the one who made you spend it all, you will make my dad even more estranged from my sister."

True enough, as soon as she said those words, Meng Yunhan brought her hand down. She glared at her daughter and snarled, "You! How much do you hate your sister? How can you be so vindictive?"

"Mom, it’s not that I am vindictive. It’s you who doesn’t want to let this family off. You care for your maternal family, fine. But you have already given ten thousand yuan to your cousin, how much money do we need to hand you? If I give you money today, will you start saving honestly later? No, you will start using your money to dote on Ziyan and give her whatever she wants and in return you will ask me to take care of you. Ziyan, on the other hand, will once again have a good life. Why should I suffer for her?"

"If you want to treasure Ziyan, then you can do it but don’t ask me to do it too."

Han Ziyan was happy to get new clothes, while she had to go out and work every day to earn money.

Han Ruochen did not want to live like that ever again. After she finished speaking, she went to the bathroom without looking at her mother’s face.

Meng Yunhan, who had a stomach full of anger, had no other choice but to go to work without a lunchbox. She did not want to ask Han Ziyan for money, as her daughter was already worried about the three thousand yuan that she needed to compensate. In the end, she simply blamed Han Ruochen for being selfish and not caring about her own mother. They were mother and daughter no matter what their grievances were, how could they become each other’s enemies? This girl was simply uncaring.

Han Ruochen did not know what her mother was thinking and even if she did know, she wouldn’t have cared about it. She got ready and went to look for her brother; she first helped him in getting ready and then went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast.

"Ruochen, I have arranged for the old priest to come and bless your motorboat. He will come around one in the afternoon." Han Yichen had noted down Han Ruochen’s request last night and arranged for everything, including the cooks for the banquet. As for the meat and vegetables, they could easily arrange it. After all, he owned a pig farm; he could always spare some meat for his daughter’s banquet.

Han Ruochen was feeding Han Beijiang when she heard that her father had already arranged everything. Her eyes widened in surprise when she heard those words and her eyes couldn’t help but sting. Her father might be an old-fashioned man but he was a responsible father. Curse her mother and Han Ziyan for feeding her lies about her father.

They kept telling her that he did not care about her or his other kids, was this the father who did not care about his other kids?

Han Ruochen nodded and thanked her father. "Thank you, dad."

"What’s there to thank me for?" he waved his hand and said in a low voice. "Your dad has never paid attention to things around the house. This is the least I could do for you." Han Yichen also blamed himself for not caring about his children. Now, one of them was married off to a distant land and the other one was married to a woman of no virtue.

But at least Han Yong was in front of his eyes; as for Han Xuehan...he did not even know how his eldest daughter was living at the moment.
