Chapter 1332: Chapter 1332: Don’t Come Any Closer

Hearing Qin Erwa’s cries, Xinyan didn’t feel the slightest guilt over making someone else’s child cry.

It’s really because this mother and son are quite irritating. Qin Erwa, spoiled by his mother, is unruly, impolite, and at a young age has developed habits of petty thievery.

Even so, his mother wouldn’t let anyone criticize him. Whenever someone came to the door with a complaint, she’d argue even if she had no reason, becoming notoriously unreasonable.

Most importantly, she often uses scolding her son as a way to pressure others, like before. If it were a thin-skinned neighbor, they’d probably hand over food just to keep the peace. After succeeding many times, it became her tactic.

Xinyan wasn’t having any of it. She enjoyed doing the opposite and loved watching the mother and son jump with anger.

Sure enough, just as they closed the courtyard door, they heard Qin Erwa noisily complaining again: "An adult, picking on a child, and claims to be a college teacher, but doesn’t even know how to conduct oneself."

Upon hearing this, Xinyan, ready to turn around and deal with the situation, was stopped by He Jinxuan: "Let me handle this."

Xinyan rolled her eyes dramatically: "You’re a man, are you really going to bicker with a woman?"

He Jinxuan, however, didn’t break his stride: "I can’t bicker with her, but I can definitely have a chat with her husband. Considering they’re married and causing turmoil in the neighborhood daily, how could he bear it?"

Xinyan burst into laughter: "That’s indeed a good idea. I can’t believe her husband doesn’t restrain them, must be some benefit to it. Ever since they moved here, this alley hasn’t had peace."

He Jinxuan opened the main gate, ignoring the chattering mother and son outside, and walked straight into the Qin family’s courtyard. He kicked open the door and grabbed Qin Erwa’s father, Qin Sujun, who was lounging inside, pulling him up and punching him in the stomach: "Can you control your wife and son?"

Qin Sujun, caught off guard by a punch, was about to curse when another punch landed. A coward by nature, he couldn’t take the beating: "Yes, yes, please stop, please stop."

Hearing him concede, He Jinxuan tossed him back where he was lying: "Since your family moved in, this alley hasn’t been quiet. Everyone’s put up with you for long enough and now you even have the nerve to name names while lecturing the neighbors. Who gave you such nerve?"

Qin Sujun had heard about his wife’s and son’s antics outside. As they’d always gained something after making a fuss, and since his family didn’t suffer loss, he naturally wouldn’t intervene.

But he hadn’t expected that someone would come knocking in outrage. Seeing He Jinxuan’s stern face, he stood up trembling with pain: "I’ll go, I’ll go right now."

Saying this, he hurried out.

He Jinxuan clapped his hands and walked out as well. His wife, cherished dearly, was in no way to be lectured by others—they truly hadn’t respected her.

When he exited, he saw Qin Sujun dragging his wife and son toward their court, grumbling all the while, as if he could devour them whole.

He Jinxuan didn’t spare them a glance, heading straight back home.

Xinyan, seeing him come in, laughed: "Seems like fists are the real persuasion."

He Jinxuan was amused by his wife’s expression: "Alright, they should be quiet for a while. Don’t let unrelated people affect your mood, let’s wash up and eat."

Recalling how warehouse manager Lao Zhang had given him a fish on his way from the company: "Oh, Lao Zhang from the warehouse gave me a fish. I’ll handle it and put it in the fridge for tomorrow’s stew."

He turned to his motorcycle and took out the bag with the fish, opening it: "Look, it’s a big one."

He had just spoken when Xinyan exclaimed ’Ugh,’ turning and running to the side, where she leaned against the wall dry heaving.

He Jinxuan was startled, dropping the fish on the ground and ran over: "Honey, what’s wrong with you?"

Just as he got close, Xinyan raised her hand to stop him: "Don’t come near."

He Jinxuan, hearing Xinyan, was visibly worried: "Honey, I, I, what’s wrong with you?"
