There was also a whole box of stuff Dad had accumulated over the years—jade, jade hairpins, gold locks, bronze pieces, various small items, none of which were very large. Although the items were small, Lin Wan recognized they were quite valuable.
"Ai Yi, can we take these things on the plane?"

There’s plenty of local snacks too. The next morning, after tidying up their things, Han Yi took her out to eat the local specialties.
This feeling, it really feels like they are here for a vacation, to relax.

Lin Wan promised her brother to organize the house first, so when he brings Saozi and Tuantuan, they won’t have to sleep on the floor like now.
After so many decades, the furniture inside definitely needs to be replaced.
Seeing now that every household has built new houses, and they’re all quite modern.
So in the afternoon, Han Yi went to find that uncle, initially to discuss wanting to remodel the house, and also about wanting that piece of land from yesterday.
Uncle readily agreed to help them find construction workers. Building houses in the village, with everyone pulling together, brings people together. The adults all know how to build. This could also bring some income to the village.
Lin Wan walked around the village and pointed out a nice house to replicate.
And as for the seaside house, Uncle sold it to them for fourteen thousand, marking out a large square when surveying the land. At that time, Lin Wan and Han Yi studied it thoroughly, opting for a big square shape. Later, she could put up a fence and plan the backyard well.
Building the house would require thirty to forty thousand, plus she wants to return and get Ying Han to help design the plans for the plot she’s selling now as well.
