Chapter 1251: 2nd edition
The Rebornian Dwarves were more than happy to start the production process for the phones.
All this while, they’d been practicing and honing their new abilities.
Michael held a Unity Power Source in his hands, made by one of the Dwarves. And he couldn’t help but be impressed. It didn’t lack in quality compared to what he could do. In fact, it was even better!
Somehow, they were able to optimize the battery so that it would be thinner and smaller, despite giving a better performance!
Michael couldn’t believe it. And not only that, but they came back to him with a lot of proposals about how to improve the phone.
He took all of their considerations and was proud of what they’d done.
Now, they were ready to produce the 2nd version of the phone!
This time, instead of a metal brick, it would now become more like a metal plate!
The screen would be bigger. The keyboard would be stockier, more tactile, and easier to touch. And of course, it would be a lot more comfortable to hold in the hand.
Michael could have definitely improved the phone so that it would be fully touchscreen.
However, that was way too complicated. It would take too much time to produce. Not only through the ingredients needed to make them, but also the process in which to combine them.
It would need a totally new production factory. And their factory workers would need a few weeks of training just to understand what they’re doing.
In short, it wouldn’t be feasible to do them right now.
As it stood, both he and Castelle agreed that it would be much better to mass produce the phones so that it could get into the hands of more people.
They were trying to replicate the success of the automobiles. Their cars weren’t the most optimised pieces of engineering when they came out. But people still bought it. The novelty of the car itself was what sold the item.
And because of that, they could now create more variants of cars. They were even creating luxury and supercars now, sold only to their VIPs.
Michael was planning to do that with the phone as well.
Once more and more people knew what a smart phone was, then Michael would start to introduce more and more complicated pieces of technology.
Perhaps, once the Upper Echelons had their hands on the phones, Michael would start to produce the fully touchscreen smart phone to his Nation.
But now, it was just better to get the phone out there in the hands of people.
And so, Kong and the Engineers worked day and night to finish the Phone factory.
Then, using their new employees, they increased production on their minerals. Their silicons, their steels, and among other things needed to produce the phone.
Now, they won’t have to slow down production of their other products to start producing the phones.

...
Meanwhile, Caliburn and the other Lionhearts found themselves travelling back towards the north.
Now this was a rush. They hurried here so fast that they left Arthur and the other younger Lionhearts back in the Nation of Reborn.
After all, this conversation was serious. They would be talking with the bigshots of the Oscorpe Conglomerate.
Right now, they were at the very lip of the Chasm. The island containing New Sparta stood in the horizon, like a looming territory separated from the world itself.
Caliburn led his family towards a camp filled with soldiers. The banner of the Oscorpe hung on every tower, making sure to deter any one who dared to offend them.
"Why are they here, Patriarch? Why have they set up a checkpoint here in the chasm? And why did they summon us so quickly?"
Caliburn turned silent. "From what I heard, they seem to be hunting a rogue family member of theirs. Earl."
It was at this point that his other soldiers nodded. "They’re finally finishing him off, huh? Has the succession really been that serious?"
"Yes," Caliburn nodded. "Earl was supposed to be out of the succession. Yet, he was able to win against one of his brothers despite having the weaker army. Of course his other brothers are taking this seriously. They might be next."
They continued onwards, towards the largest tent in the camp.
And there, they saw a woman sitting in her throne.
Caliburn kneelded in front of this woman. "Trilla, greetings," he said.
The woman named Trilla Oscorpe nodded at Caliburn and the other Lionhearts, giving them respect. But she didn’t get up from her seat. It was clear which of them were the more important party.
"Ahhh.. you’re here," Trilla said. "I assume you have come from the Parched Lands? Were the rumors true? Is there truly a paradise in the desert?"
Caliburn couldn’t help but think back to the Nation of Reborn. "Yes. It is a true paradise. It is peaceful and progressive. Their technologies are something to behold."
Trilla nodded. "Yes, well. I don’t care much about what happens in the south. What I care about is the succession. Have you heard about what happened to my little brother?"
Caliburn shook his head.
"My scouts saw him plunging into the chasm, hoping to avoid me. I have no doubt he’s already dead."
This truly shook Caliburn. To say such cold things about her brother. It seemed that the succession of the Oscorpes were truly a cold-blooded war.
"What did you summon me for?"
"Well, we talked about the Reborn company, did we not? Have they acceded to our request?"
They requested for Reborn to not help Earl.
"We... we learned that they did not help Earl. it looked like they were fighting against each other too."
This made Trilla nod in satisfaction. "Well, I heard that it’s them that allowed my little brother to win his battles. I wonder what kind of technology they have in store. Have you asked them about my request?"
Caliburn shook his head. Their conversation hadn’t led to that yet.
Trilla wanted the phones for herself too. Bought, of course.
