Seeing this, Huo Sining’s gaze fell on the brocade box in her hand and said with a smile:

"We’ve been speculating so much, but it’s all just blind guesses. Whether it is or isn’t, we’ll know once we open this box!"

Huo Sining reached out, without much hesitation, directly opening the brocade box.

After opening the brocade box and seeing what was inside, the couple was instantly stunned.

Inside the brocade box, there were none of the rare treasures Huo Sining and Gu Xu expected, only a rolled-up piece of paper, which was somewhat yellowed and seemed aged, but looked quite thick without much wear.

Huo Sining lifted her head to glance at Gu Xu, and they exchanged a look. Then Gu Xu put on a pair of rubber gloves, carefully taking out the piece of paper and gently unrolling it.

As soon as it was unrolled, Huo Sining couldn’t help but lean in, and seeing that it was a sea map drawn on the paper, was instantly taken aback.

Most notably, this map was hand-drawn with a fountain pen. Besides the crooked lines, the drawing skills of the person were very crude, clearly not skilled in drawing, making it look very awkward.

"A sea map, and a hand-drawn one at that—why is this rough map so important to Tranleva, enough to warrant such care in hiding it in a safe compartment?"

Gu Xu, full of suspicion, nevertheless felt something strange:

"For him to be so cautious means this map definitely has something worth one’s nerves. The things we brought back, besides this map, weren’t any other special items. I suspect he fought Harus to the death for this very map. However, why that is, I’m not sure."

Huo Sining also agreed with Gu Xu’s analysis, but why? The map doesn’t show any apparent issues.

After taking the map from Gu Xu’s hand, Huo Sining examined the map closely, looking over both sides countless times without finding any hidden compartments, feeling a bit dejected, her gaze landing on a drawn emblem in the upper right corner of the map.

It was a strange emblem, the only thing on the sea map unrelated to the islands, looking more like a logo.

The emblem featured a large ship’s wheel, with two crossed daggers drawn beneath it, and on its sides, some small English letters that had become blurred over time and were completely illegible.

Staring at this emblem, a flash of inspiration crossed Huo Sining’s mind, vaguely feeling that this badge was connected to something.

However, when she tried to grasp that inspiration, she caught nothing, her mind spinning but unable to recall anything.

Seeing his wife frown and even knock on her head, Gu Xu asked nervously and concernedly: "What’s wrong? Headache?"

Huo Sining shook her head: "I’m fine, just seeing this emblem, it feels familiar as if I’ve seen it somewhere before, but I can’t remember anything even when I think hard."

Gu Xu couldn’t help but give Huo Sining a glance: "If you can’t remember, you can’t remember. You’re pregnant; you can’t think too hard, it’s taxing on the brain and not good for the baby. Alright, it’s just a piece of map; no need to expend too much energy on it. Perhaps this thing holds some special significance for that Tranleva! These big figures can’t be judged by common sense; having some quirks is quite normal."

Huo Sining didn’t speak, though Gu Xu had a point, for some reason, Huo Sining always felt this sea map wasn’t as simple as Gu Xu described.

After some thought, she suddenly raised her head and said to Gu Xu: "The military should have professional satellite GPS positioning, right? Let Yu Fei process this map and try overlaying it on the entire sea map to see if it can pinpoint a specific location?"

This method, in a few years, wouldn’t even require military assistance, as uploading the map directly to Baidu would enable full-scale searching and matching, and it would be as fast as a few seconds.

But right now, such technology wasn’t available on the internet, and satellite maps hadn’t developed rapidly, so finding a matching map position could only rely on military satellite positioning.

Gu Xu originally wanted to persuade his wife to rest, given that she hadn’t been eating or sleeping well in Mexico, suffering quite a bit. But seeing his wife’s stubborn expression, he couldn’t speak harshly and could only nod to agree with Huo Sining’s request.

After some more persuasion, he finally coaxed Huo Sining back upstairs to rest. Gu Xu took the map to the study, scanned it with a scanner, and then sent the map to Yu Fei.

Gu Xu brought over a huge box, and Chief Lu didn’t even open it to check, but instead dialed a phone number. Shortly after, a middle-aged man in a military green uniform walked in:

"Chief, did you call for me?"

Chief Lu pointed toward the box in front of Gu Xu, indicating to the middle-aged man: "Take this box back to the research institute. Tell those people to study it well. These are invaluable materials and samples, and they must be handled carefully!"

The middle-aged man was taken aback, stepping over to Gu Xu and opening the box. Seeing the contents inside, his body froze, and he suddenly raised his head, looking at Chief Lu with excitement:

"Chief, this... Where did this come from?"
