Chapter 433: Titan-Class 001 Siege Core [2]
For a long time since Leon learned about the concept of Class Exclusive Blueprints after becoming a D Rank Mechanist, he’d been fascinated by the Siege Core Exclusive Blueprint of Cannon Masters.
For a long time, he’d wondered what exactly a Siege Core can do and finally, he did not only learn what they can do but he now had one of his own.
The Titan-Class 001 Siege Core is known as the ultimate Class Exclusive Blueprint of the Cannon Master Class Specialization because it can increase the overall power of a Cannon Master several folds.
It was the most complicated blueprints of the Mechanist Class.
The core function of the Titan-Class 001 Siege Core is that it acts as a force multiplier.
When linked to its verified controller’s weapons, the Siege Core becomes a comprehensive force multiplier beyond comprehension.
With it, a Cannon Master’s Railguns can fire projectiles at velocities that are mathematically considered impossible.
With it, a Cannon Master’s Energy Cannon transforms from a battlefield weapon into a city-killer capable of carving incandescent scars across entire districts!
With it, War Turrets gain effectively limitless ammunition production and uninterrupted operation.
With it, a D Rank Cannon Master can leap beyond the constraints of his Rank.
A Siege Core is what makes a Cannon Master a Cannon Master, a demolition expert that can burn entire enemy battalions to oblivion from distance.
Every machine connected to the Siege Core through the controller’s ADE becomes stronger, faster, deadlier, and more potent.
Energy shields become denser, weapons become sharper, energy weapons become even more obliteratingly powerful.
The Siege Core functions as the beating heart of an entire mechanized army.
In the hands of a Cannon Master, this is already an impossibly powerful and overpowered construct but in the hands of a Warmachine Specialist like Leon with so many constructs, this becomes even more overpowered.
Before asking Ren Nora for help, Leon already had 40+ Blueprints.
And now, with the General’s help, he already completed his collection, increasing his collectibles to almost 50 Blueprints!
Leon had a hunch that besides a certain woman, this is unprecedented in the history of Neo-Tokara for a D Rank Mechanist to have so many Blueprints.
In its vicinity, the Siege Core can buff the power of every single one of these constructs under the coverage of Leon’s ADE.
But it’s not one-dimensional.
The Siege Core is all all-round buff for a Mechanist’s army, but power generation is not its only function.
Deep within the tower exists vast manufacturing chambers spanning dozens of floors. Inside, automated assembly lines operate around the clock when needed, capable of producing ammunition, spare parts, combat drones, armor plating, missiles, and replacements components with the blueprints inputted in by its controller- the Mechanist in charge of it.
Leon could easily imagine this function of the Siege Core becoming even more efficient and devastating when the ChronoSystem reboots.
In the hands of a Cannon Master, this function of the Siege Core may not mean much, only serving as a backup option since construction was never their strongest trait.
But in the hands of a Warmachine Specialist not to talk of an abnormal one like Leon, this was a lethal function.
With almost 50 Blueprints, Leon was already a walking disaster. For all of these blueprints to be amplified by the Siege Core made him a bigger menace.
With them and with his innate construction proficiency, with this Siege Core, Leon now had the ability to outlast literally any opponent in battle when things get tough, and he had a hunch that things would get rough soon in the nearest future.
His only problem now was ADE, he simply didn’t have those bottomless reserves of ADE that Gene Augurs had to power so many constructs consistently.
That aside, if his battle against General Sylvari Charr was fought anywhere close to this wasteland 5 months ago, Leon was 100% sure that he would have been able to stand his ground.
The only painful part was that for this project, he had to go into debt again since he spent approximately 450 million Neo Credits just on it.
But looking at it now, Leon knew that it was worth it.
Massive internal hangars occupied the lower sections of the tower. There, during wartime, Leon could keep his other creations where they will be protected behind layers of armored blast doors thicker than military bunkers.
The Siege Core had maintenance facilities, command centers, research laboratories, fabrication complexes, ammunition vaults, and even living quarters were all contained within the structure.
He could actually turn here to his new home.
This was not just a base, this was a self-sustaining war economy.
Besides, the Siege Core didn’t rely on the Ghost Line barriers for stealth. One of its greatest strengths was actually its own stealth capabilities, though this was something that Leon improvised on the blueprint to make it even stronger with Dr. Vex Larkinson’s help.
The tower possessed advanced optical camouflage systems that are integrated throughout its obsidian exterior.
When activated, billions of microscopic projection nodes bend to manipulate light around the structure.
To outside observers, the colossal fortress simply vanishes.
Radar signals pass through empty air, satellite scans detect nothing unusual, thermal sensors find only background temperature, and even electronic surveillance encounter layers of false signals and fabricated data streams.
The tower becomes a ghost- an invisible fortress hidden in plain sight.
Leon was able to add this layer to the Siege Core by isolating and reverse-engineering certain core components of the Zerphyr-7 Stealth Reconnaissance UAV.
And in the nearest future, this was where he intended to attempt his C Rank Trial after his Ascended Counter finally hit 4000/4000.
As for access here, only Leon and authorized personnel possessed the encryption keys necessary to even locate it.
Ren Nora was the only other authorized personnel.
He would have also made Tyla authorized but he had his reasons for not doing it. He wasn’t wishing for it, but Leon already accounted for situations where Tyla could be kidnapped just to be able to locate his hideout in the future.
Afterall, he was already enemy no. 1 in Neo Solace and this tag was only going to fester when the Civil War finally started.
The Civil War was going to be messy, and Tyla being kidnapped to get to him can be a possibility. By making only Ren Nora the authorized personnel, he already erased the possibility of locating here through his loved ones.
Afterall, no existence in the world had the power to compel Ren Nora to say what he didn’t want to say.
For additional security, the structure constantly emits electronic warfare signals capable of corrupting enemy sensors, disrupting communications, and feeding false information into hostile intelligence networks.
It also had an army of dozens of Doom Rover v0.2s lying dormant somewhere inside the tower.
And yet, despite all its defenses, the Siege Core’s true purpose remained singular... War.
When the tower enters combat mode, vast sections of its exterior unfolds, armor plates shift, entire floors rotate, giving way for ports to open for Leon’s other war machines to enter the stage.
During combat mode, the power reserves within the tower accumulates at frightening speeds as the artificial star buried within the Core roars to life to amplify all the constructs of its controller.
Leon already activated combat mode once, and the sequence was a memory that lived rent free in his head.
His black eyes gleamed and he grinned. "I think I’m ready".
Hearing his voice, Ren Nora’s eyes twitched slightly.
He hesitated, then he shrugged. "I want to ask how it’s possible for a D Rank Mechanist to even do things like this, but then I remember that you’re the same guy who trapped a C Rank Ascended as a mere E Rank Mechanist".
He looked at Leon and grinned. "You freak!"
