Chapter 70: Chapter 70: Begin Your Performance
The nightlife in Brocade City is luxurious and extravagant, with the neon lights like a fiery dragon winding across the land of China.
Brocade City Grand Hotel.
Bella Green changed into a loose short-sleeve T-shirt, with cropped jeans below, and wore a pair of white sneakers.
Her short hair was clean and neat, and her slim face had filled out a bit recently, making her look even more beautiful.
The girl lifted the corners of her mouth into a bright smile and stepped into the hotel.
She followed the room number given by Anna Green.
The private room was filled with cheerful laughter, lively and bustling. Bella Green paused for a second before pushing the door open and entering.
The room was filled with quite a few people.
But Bella Green immediately spotted the man in the center, well-dressed, handsome, and graceful.
A pair of gold-rimmed glasses added to the warmth and elegance of his face. Back then, she was deeply attracted by this aura of his.
It wasn’t until the end that she realized this aura was called a wolf in sheep’s clothing, a gentleman in name only...
"Bella, you’re here."
Anna Green, who was sitting right next to Vivian Thornecroft, stood up immediately and said excitedly.
As soon as Anna spoke, the room fell into silence.
Here, many were Vivian Thornecroft’s friends who hadn’t met Bella Green but had heard of her name.
She supposedly did everything for Vivian Thornecroft, even threatening to jump off a building?
They had wondered what Bella Green looked like but never expected it would be this current appearance.
A clean and beautiful... young boy?
Vivian Thornecroft was also momentarily stunned upon seeing Bella Green. In his memory, the girl had very beautiful long hair, yet now she had boyish short hair.
"Come in quickly." Anna Green walked to the door, affectionately pulling Bella Green into the room.
"Vivian, I called Bella over without your permission, you won’t be mad, right?" Anna Green bit her lip and asked softly.
Vivian Thornecroft glanced at Bella Green, then withdrew his gaze, responding with a faint "hmm" without any extra expression.
"I knew you were the best, Vivian." Anna Green smiled happily upon hearing this, her playful and coquettish demeanor clearly showing the relational dynamics among the three.
Anna Green was about to pull Bella Green to sit, but the seats in the room were already full, and she hesitated, looking somewhat troubled at Bella Green.
"Bella, I’m sorry. At first, I didn’t know you were coming, and then I forgot to tell them to change the headcount. Wait a moment, I’ll have someone add a chair."
This instantly pushed Bella Green into the eye of the storm.
"Heh, so she’s shamelessly forcing her way in again." Someone sneered.
"What else did you expect? For Vivian, she could even jump off a building; what wouldn’t she do?"
"It’s really tough for Anna Green to still consider someone like this her sister."
"Don’t say that, Anna’s nature is simple; she probably doesn’t even realize she’s being used."
Each and every word did not shy away from Bella Green’s presence. The volume wasn’t high, yet it was clear enough for her to hear.
"Don’t say that, it really was me who called Bella over." Anna Green hurried to explain.
That overly hastened, panicked look had quite a bit of a covering-up feel to it, leading everyone to instinctively believe.
Bella Green somehow found out about this gathering and shamelessly showed up. Anna Green, to save her sister’s face, falsely claimed she was the one who invited her.
Throughout, Bella Green remained silent, smiling as she watched Anna Green perform her act.
