Chapter 1200: Chapter 1196: Is She Okay?
In this chilling house, there was such a motionless man, as if devoid of life.
Everything about it seemed so eerie and terrifying.
The man’s dangling fingertips were bright red from the cold.
After an unknown length of time, one of those fingers moved slightly.
Then, the man who had long remained still slowly began to move.
His drooped head gradually lifted.
If anyone were here, they would be scared half to death.
Not for anything else, but because of the man’s blood-red eyes, as if they could drip blood.
Those red eyes revealed a chilling and sinister coldness.
As if a demon crawling out of hell to claim lives.
Mason Bennett moved his stiff neck, looking towards the door.
All the windows in the house were sealed shut, and the only source of sunlight was the front door.

At this moment, a beam of sunlight shone into the house.
Though not large, it was so bright and dazzling.
A stark contrast against the blood and darkness filling the room.
Mason gazed longingly at the sunlight.
Once upon a time.
Such sunlight was something he longed for but could never attain.
Mason withdrew his gaze and again surveyed the house.
His aura gradually grew darker and more somber, brimming with loathing and resentment for this place.
He had once thought that if he could ever leave, he would tear this place down.
Tear down this hell on earth.
Later, he did leave, but he forgot all about it.
Mason closed his eyes, took a deep breath, then got up once more and exited the loathsome house.
Standing in the sunlight, he exhaled heavily.

Even he hadn’t realized that his sealed memory needed no hypnosis.
Just coming back here once more, those locked memories surged forth like a deadly beast.
Unstoppably breaking free...
No one knew how excruciatingly long this night was for Mason.
When those fearful, dark memories from the past were recalled once again.
The process must have been extremely painful.
Mason looked up at the sun, almost blinding to the point where he had to strain to keep his eyes open.
The corners of his mouth slowly lifted, revealing the first smile in a long time.
After a while, Mason turned back, stepped into the car, and contacted Elliot Morris to arrange a flight back to Brocade City.
After hanging up the phone, Mason looked at the row of outgoing calls on his phone that never connected, pursed his lips, and put away the phone.
...
Bellamy Homes journeyed from Brocade City to Hyattville and back, accomplishing nothing.
But she took a breath of relief when Mason returned.

No longer wallowing in self-destruction, living each day like a walking corpse.
After spending two days and nights clearing the accumulated work, Mason had no recollection of how long he had gone without rest.
Although Noah Bennett was managing the company these past few days, having been out of touch with the company for many years.
There were still many things unfamiliar to him.
So, there was still plenty of work left for Mason.
Finishing the last document, Mason put down the pen, rubbed his brow, his eyes full of exhaustion.
The man picked up the phone and dialed a number.
As the call connected, Mason moved to the floor-to-ceiling window, overlooking the towering city, his throat somewhat tight.
"Is she okay?"
The voice was hoarse and somewhat raspy, not pleasant to hear.
The other side was silent for a moment, not keen to deviate from the truth.
"She’s not okay..."
