After passing through another long corridor, the Elder finally stopped and said, "The exit is right ahead. Everyone close your eyes, I’ll go and activate the mechanism."
Xuexue and Long Rui exchanged a glance, thinking that the Elder didn’t trust them and was being cautious.
Earlier, when the Elder was activating the mechanism, Xuexue saw everything clearly and memorized each step. If she didn’t remember that last mechanism, it would be difficult to enter again in the future.
"Xiao Taohong, hurry and come out," Xuexue silently called in her heart.
"Hey! Master, I’m here!" Xiao Taohong floated out from the space.
Aside from Long Rui and Xue Ren, no one else present could see her.

Xiao Taohong agreed with a sound and swooshed to the Elder’s side, watching his actions intently.
The Elder felt a chill all over his body, looked around, and saw nothing unusual, thinking he was being paranoid. The underground palace was already cold and damp, so he spoke again to Xuexue, "Why aren’t you closing your eyes yet?"
Long Rui obediently closed his eyes and reminded the guards behind him to do the same.
The Elder believed there was no risk, so he confidently walked to the place where the mechanism was, turning his head to check if anyone was peeking before pressing it.
Unbeknownst to him, a little ghost was standing right beside him, watching his every move with wide eyes.
"Boom...!"
The wall slowly opened, and suddenly a ray of sunlight poured in.
While everyone was delighted, they quickly covered their eyes. It was too dazzling.
As soon as the sunlight came in, Xiao Taohong returned to the space.

The Elder was disheveled, with a flowing beard, yet didn’t bother tidying up before setting off, seemingly unafraid of frightening passersby.
Xuexue watched his distant figure and said to Long Rui, "Prince, who do you think that senior really is? To live in the underground palace for decades and still remain unharmed."
