The tactic of enticing Demons to pursue Jadis, be they flying or on foot, continued to have mixed success for the rest of the day. It seemed that the majority of the enemy who had spread out across the ruined landscape of southeastern Volto had finished congregating in Kastoria, so there were hardly any Demons to target in the surrounding area. That meant, however, that the captured city was utterly swarming with all manner of hostile creatures, be they constructs or possessed, so there was no shortage of opportunities for Sabina to gain experience.
The Demons seemed to have standing orders to attack Jadis or anyone else who got near Kastoria but had also been commanded to not pursue. That meant that there were always a high number of monstrous Demons ready and waiting to meet Jadis when she flew in close, but not many would chase her beyond the immediate vicinity of the city walls. The ring of impenetrable domes that surrounded the city were about as far as most would pursue, though there were always a few either overzealous or particularly stupid Demons that would follow into the range of Sabina’s ballista.
At one point, Sabina tested the limits of the modified siege weapon’s power and aimed one of her unenchanted bolts at targets milling on top of Kastoria’s city wall. The shot had missed by a margin of a few yards, but it had managed the range, if just barely. By Jadis’ guestimate, the ballista had been about two miles away from the city at the time of the shot, which was quite the impressive distance for a device that relied on magic-enhanced tension, rather than controlled explosions.
When the sun’s light had finally been spent and Jadis had taken Sabina back to the army’s camp for the night, the progress they had made could be counted by three levels; two in Passionate Smith and one in Enchanter Smith of the Reborn. While Sabina still had five more levels to go before she would reach CLR sixty, Jadis wasn’t concerned about getting the smith there before the army reached Kastoria. They had managed to gain three levels in just a day, and they weren’t even pushing themselves as hard as they could. Sabina would unlock her tertiary class, as would Maeve and Noct. However, they just likely wouldn’t have much time to level those classes before the siege began. With the lack of enemies to block their forward progress, Volto’s forces were making good time on their march.
When Jadis and Sabina had returned to the camp, it was already late in the evening and most of the work had been done. The Roc had departed for another supply run, but the twenty thousand Voltonian reinforcements had caught up with the main force and had brought a large influx of supplies with them. The camp was buzzing with activity, but Jadis and Sabina made a beeline for the Leviathan, where they knew they would be able to link up with everyone. Jadis hoped that good news would be waiting for her in the form of Noct or maybe one of the others having gained a level. Instead, she was met with a different sort of surprise.
“Strip.”
“Okay,” Jay said with mild surprise as she looked at the Valravn standing before her. “How was the hunting today?”
“Fine,” Noct answered with a note of tension in her voice. “No levels.”
As she started unbuckling the various straps of her heavy armor, Jay turned her gaze onto Thea, who was standing next to Noct.
“What’s going on?”
“Noct asked for my help,” Thea answered, the light blush coloring her expression making her look cuter than ever. “With the, ah, reward, that you p—promised her.”
“Needed,” Noct confirmed, her red eyes watching Jay’s hands as they worked to remove her armor.

“Aila is, um, s—setting up for her ritual,” the shieldmaiden continued as she motioned to where the mage was, indeed, getting ready with Eir, Kerr, Meli, and Severina. “She’ll need help from t—two of you. Noct wants one.”
“Just one of me, hm?” Jay raised an eyebrow. “What exactly do you have in mind for that one of me, Noct?”
The creak of straining leather and the low, guttural growl of a beast on the hunt was all the answer given.
“Well, Sabina got three levels today,” Jay pointed to where the smith was eagerly describing the success of her ballista to a very naked Kerr. “We do need to discuss the skill options she unlocked. Pretty sure she got two of them.”
“Later.”
Jay’s other eyebrow rose at Noct’s firmly stated command.
“But Aila might—”
“E—Everyone is in agreement,” Thea interrupted as she nervously fidgeted with her fingers. “We haven’t had much, ah, t—time with you, lately.”
That was true enough, Jadis couldn’t help but concede. With all the craziness and drama of Alex’s new class, the only times Jadis had really been doing anything sexual with her lovers had been during Aila’s ritual. She didn’t think anyone was in danger of running out on their Lewd Lover’s Bond, not since everyone rotated through participating in the greater ritual, but sex just for the sake of being with those she loved hadn’t been much of a thing as of late. Quite honestly, Jadis wasn’t happy with that state of affairs, even if it had only been a few short days, and she was glad to see that her women agreed with her. She was just a little surprised by the ambush.

Everyone else aside, it was a rare day indeed that Aila would put an orgy before learning about new class skills.
“Also… everyone is, um, eager. To see you. Small.”
Ah. There it was.
“Oh really?” Jay grinned slyly at the two women. “Is that part of your request, Noct?”
“Yes,” the dark-haired beauty nodded once, her red eyes burning a hole through Jay’s unshed armor.
“Well, I haven’t used Mirror Minification yet, have I?” Jay pondered aloud in a teasing tone. “I was sort of thinking it would be something to use during a special occasion or—”
“Reward,” Noct demanded, taking a step closer and bearing her rather sharp teeth. “You promised.”
Leaning down to meet Noct’s gaze, Jay whispered in her sexiest voice.
“I did promise, didn’t I. Better help me strip then, hm?”
In short order, the only one in the airship who was wearing clothing was Noct, and her particular version of dress was hardly the sort that dampened the libido. The room had been split, with specific parties drifting into groups surrounding the three of Jadis. Aila and her ritual helpers form the night were with Dys, while Alex and commandeered Syd along with everyone else. Every except for Noct and Thea, who stood apart from either of the other groups. Regardless of where they were positioned, all eyes were on the three nude Nephilim, waiting for the moment when Jadis would be putting her new spell to the test.
“Here goes,” Jadis murmured in three voices before silently casting Mirror Minification.
A disorienting feeling, both familiar and distinctly different, washed over her as the world around her shifted. In only a few blinks of her eyes, Jadis found that rather than staring down at all of her lovers, she was forced to crane her neck back to look up. She had become, in a word, short.
“You’re so tiny!” Eir giggled with a delighted gasp as she beheld the minified Dys. “Goddess! You’re like a doll!”

“Hey…” Sorcha pouted at the elf. “She’s not that short…”
“Way shorter than she was!” Ammy leaned her elbow on top of the goblin’s head. “She’s even shorter than I am!”
And that was, in fact, the truth. Since her normal height was an inch over nine feet, the spell had shrunk Jadis to slightly less than four and a half feet tall. The only person in the room who was shorter than her in her newly modified state was the diminutive goblin, and even then Sorcha wasn’t so small that she looked comical next to Jadis anymore. Definitely way shorter, but not absurdly so.
“Is this how you all feel next to me all the time?” Syd laughed to herself as she grinned up at Alex’s towering form. “This is so weird!”
“Adorable…” Alex cooed as she picked Syd up and squeezed her against her chest. “Too… Adorable…”
Enjoying the feeling of her demonic lover’s breasts enveloping her head, Syd uttered a few muffled words that she was confident couldn’t be heard by anyone else.
“I can see why you all like my hugs,” Dys repeated the thought her other self had tried to communicate. “It’s oddly comforting to be hugged by someone so much bigger.”
“Yes, it is,” Aila agreed as she moved behind Dys and placed her hands on her shoulders. “But a small version of you is interesting as well.”
“You’re still big enough to be crazy in all the right places, anyway,” Kerr said slyly as she purposefully repositioned so that her wagging tail would flap in Dys’ face. “Can’t wait to see how you use it now that you’re a half-pint.”
“Don’t you worry about that,” Dys growled while yanking on Kerr’s tail so she could pull her in range of her nipping teeth. “I’ve got lots of ideas of how I’m going to be using you.”
“Oo, use me, use me” Kerr purred. “I can’t wait.”
“Well, you’ll have to,” Aila pushed Kerr’s forehead away form Dys. “Ritual first. Then fun.”
“Hey, Maeve?” Kerr turned towards she shapeshifter. “Do you want to switch with—”
“Nope,” Maeve didn’t even look away from Syd and the others gathered around her.
“Merde…”
Jadis internally laughed at the exchange, but she was glad that Kerr and the others were suitably distracted. Frankly, with Thea and Noct surrounding her, Jay already had her hands full.
“Good…” the Valravn growled in a distinctly predatory way, her gaze locked onto Jay.
“It—it’s strange to see you so small,” Thea commented with less tension in her tone, though not without a voyeuristic glint in her eyes. “Different.”
“Well, what else are you hoping to get out of me?” Jay waggled her eyebrows suggestively as she put her hands on her bare hips. “Or am I supposed to just stand here and look gorgeous?”
“Not exactly,” Thea smiled shyly at her. “There’s a—another spell. A ritual, that Noct wants.”
“Cock,” the winged woman stated without preamble.
“Oh, I see,” Jay said as the light of realization struck her. “Is that why I’m shrunk down for you? Should have guessed you’d have some fun fantasies.”
While Noct had the decency to blush at the teasing words, Jay grinned at her shy little shieldmaiden. Twirling a finger, she indicated one of the piles of blankets that had been laid out a little further away from the ritual space that Aila had set up for herself.
“Why don’t you take a comfortable position, and we can get started on giving Noct the cock she wants so she can have her way with me?”

While Thea obediently lay down on her back, face flushed and limbs tense with excited nerves, Jay turned back to the silently watching Valravn. Noct was still fully dressed, aside from a lack of boots, which was simply not going to do. If they were going to perform the Duality of Flesh ritual, her black-winged lover was going to need to be naked. Or at least, she was going to need to have nothing around the area between her thighs. Jay wasn’t going to risk chafing herself against all that leather.
“I assume Thea told you how this ritual works,” Jay kept her tone sultry as she questioned Noct.
“Yes.”
“Then what are you waiting for?”
Breathing deeply in and out twice, Noct answered with her lips tight together.
“Control.”
Smiling at her currently taller lover, Jay reached up and pulled her face down so that she could place a warm kiss on the Valravn’s lips. Noct didn’t fight back, accepting the kiss and even leaning into it, though she refused to open her lips even when Jay’s questing tongue pressed insistently against her. Letting out a little sigh of exasperation, she pulled back just enough so that she could look into Noct’s red eyes.
“You don’t have to worry so much. You aren’t going to hurt me. I trust you.”
A little shiver went through Noct’s body at those words.
“Don’t you trust me, too?”
“Yes…” Noct replied thickly, her breath hot against Jay’s mouth.
“Good. Now get those straps off so Thea and I can fuck a cock onto you.”
