Chapter 1750: Chapter 1749: Chaotic Emotions

What’s going on here?

Is this a punishment from heaven for her?

But she hasn’t done anything wrong.

In her limited memory, she has never hurt anyone’s feelings. You could say Chu Chengfeng is truly the first person Sima Xiaowen has ever had feelings for.

And the first person she wanted to spend her life with.

But now...

Gu Qiaoqiao watched as Sima Xiaowen sank back into her thoughts and didn’t disturb her.

Sima Xiaowen was different after all; there were many things she needed to handle on her own, analyze, and then decide what to do.

After all, this involved many matters between the Phoenix Clan and the Phoenix Clan.

For instance, whether she was involved in the big chaos of the Phoenix Clan back then, and who was the person she brought?

And Elder Sima had never mentioned a word, so one had to wonder if Elder Sima really didn’t know or was deliberately hiding something; all these needed to be understood.

There was a sandalwood chair nearby for resting, and Gu Qiaoqiao pulled Xiao Wen’s hand to sit on it; the Treasure Room seemed to calm Xiao Wen’s emotions a bit.

Sure enough, after a while, Xiao Wen’s mood improved quite a bit.

But her mind wasn’t completely clear, still blocked by a mess, so she looked at Gu Qiaoqiao and asked in a low voice, "Qiaoqiao, is it still impossible to contact Uncle and my dad?"

"Before I started cooking, I called the courtyard where they stay, but no one answered. Then I had Sister Xiao Shuang drive over to check. The courtyard gate was locked, and no one answered when she knocked, so clearly, the three of them aren’t home..." Gu Qiaoqiao explained.

Sima Xiaowen felt a bit disheartened, "Forget it, I’m not in a hurry anyway. I’ll wait for Chu Chengfeng to come back and get my stuff before making plans." She then gritted her teeth, "Qiaoqiao, I want to go to Sky Sea City and have Uncle erase my memory."

Gu Qiaoqiao widened her eyes in shock, "Erase your memory? Did I hear you right?"

"Yes, you heard right. I want to be like Danny and erase all my memories of Chu Chengfeng. Why should I be the only one suffering while he’s carefree? It’s not fair."

Sima Xiaowen said this through gritted teeth.

But seeing Sima Xiaowen like this, Gu Qiaoqiao felt much more at ease.

Crying occasionally is beneficial, but staying in a state of sadness would leave Gu Qiaoqiao helpless. Fortunately, Sima Xiaowen now seemed to be slowly calming herself.

As for whether Sima Xiaowen wanted to erase her memories of Chu Chengfeng, Gu Qiaoqiao didn’t express any opinions. She just said softly, "Sister Xiao Wen, we have to wait for Uncle to come back."

"Let’s go, you should head home now. Don’t worry about me, I’m fine."

Sima Xiaowen said this while standing up, and Gu Qiaoqiao glanced at the time. She indeed needed to leave; Xiao Bao and Xiao Bei hadn’t eaten all day, and with them being so young, breastfeeding was essential.

But she was still worried about Sima Xiaowen, "Sister Xiao Wen, Ah Ze isn’t home either. Why don’t you come to the Qin Family’s Courtyard with me? We can discuss anything that comes up..."

Sima Xiaowen shook her head, "Don’t worry, Qiaoqiao. I’m different from other girls. Even though I’m sad, I know what I should and shouldn’t do. I won’t do anything foolish."

"I’m not worried about you doing anything foolish; I’m worried that when you go to Chu Chengfeng to get your things, you two might fight, and you’ll be at a disadvantage."

That’s what Gu Qiaoqiao was concerned about.

"I won’t fight with him, and besides, he’s the Clan Leader now. He’s got a lot to do. The Phoenix Clan that’s abroad hasn’t returned yet, and there aren’t many people in the Phoenix Clan now. He won’t waste his energy on me."

Gu Qiaoqiao thought for a moment and felt that Sister Xiao Wen made some sense, "Then stay at Gu Garden. If anything happens, call me. I’ll contact Uncle and the others and let you know as soon as I have any news."

When they walked out of the Treasure Room and stood in the yard, they discovered it was snowing heavily again outside. The sky was gloomy, much like Sima Xiaowen’s current mood.

Sima Xiaowen reached out and caught a snowflake; it slowly landed in her palm and turned into a droplet, which she flicked lightly to the ground, where it disappeared...

Sima Xiaowen paused for a moment, then looked at Gu Qiaoqiao and urged, "Go on home, I’ll walk around the yard and clear my head..."

Gu Qiaoqiao didn’t know what words to use to comfort Xiao Wen right now because anything she’d say would feel hollow and powerless, so letting her calm down by herself seemed like a good idea.

The two parted ways in the yard, with Xiao Wen walking towards the back garden while Gu Qiaoqiao headed to the garage to drive back to the Qin Family’s Courtyard.

Having not seen Xiao Bao and Xiao Bei for a day, Gu Qiaoqiao felt a strong sense of longing. Although she felt that under the pampering of her family and lover, she was becoming more immature, once she became a mother, she quickly embraced the role, and a sense of responsibility and mission, that blood bond, emerged spontaneously.

So now, when she’s away from the kids for a longer period, she misses them too. So she held Xiao Bao and Xiao Bei for quite a while.

After Xiao Bao and Xiao Bei were asleep that night, she called Qin Yize.

On the phone, she recounted the entire situation to Qin Yize, complaining as she did, occasionally cursing Chu Chengfeng, while on the other end, Qin Yize was utterly shocked.

He hadn’t expected this, only knowing that Chu Chengfeng had extraordinary powers, but unaware of his good friend’s unique background and origins.

But now, because he had awakened, he hurt Sima Xiaowen, leaving Qiaoqiao indignant, making Qin Yize unsure of what to say.

He knew Gu Qiaoqiao just wanted to vent, not genuinely do anything against Chu Chengfeng, so he listened quietly. They talked for a long time until Qin Yize said, "If Chu Chengfeng dares to harm Sister Xiao Wen, you can step in, but their emotional entanglement sounds far too complex, something outsiders will never understand, so let them handle it themselves..."

"I know, I won’t interfere with their emotional issues. Sometimes the more you meddle, the more complicated it gets. I’ll just do what I can." Gu Qiaoqiao quickly assured. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶

Qin Yize praised, "Yes, my wife is the smartest, but you’ve had a hard time lately."

"It’s not that hard. I’m starting to work normally again soon. With my mom and grandmother looking after Xiao Bao and Xiao Bei, I’m much more at ease. It’s just that Xiao Wen’s situation worries me."
