Chapter 37: Chapter 37: Fire Eva
The atmosphere instantly froze because Sophie Wilson didn’t respond.
Charles Seymour just stared at Sophie Wilson steadfastly, his finger at his side twitching slightly, and his eyes growing darker and more profound.
Sophie Wilson felt as though the temperature was dropping once again.
Sighing lightly in her heart, Sophie Wilson smiled, "The cooperation was quite good, let’s continue like this in the future."
"Alright, I’m going to sleep." Having resolved her relationship issue with Charles Seymour, Sophie Wilson felt relieved.
Back in her room, Sophie Wilson went to take a shower.
She tilted her head back, letting the water flow over her face.
She wanted to clear her mind and figure out how exactly she had offended Grace Wilson.
Ever since she was a child, their mother always favored her sister. Anything good was her sister’s, and every mistake was hers.
It was just that she had fallen seriously ill a few years ago, and lost several years of memory.
However, she swore that after recovering, she hadn’t done anything to wrong Grace Wilson at all.
Why did Grace Wilson treat her like this?
Taking out a high-interest loan, then ruining her!
Grace Wilson was her sister, why be so ruthless?
Did they have some irreconcilable vendetta?
Sophie Wilson suddenly ran her fingers through her hair, wiping away all the water from her face, a hint of coldness flashing in her eyes.
Since Grace Wilson treated her this way, don’t blame her for exacting her revenge.
The next day, Sophie Wilson went to work as usual, except that she was considerately driven by her new boyfriend.
With a free car ride, she didn’t have to squeeze into the subway, and Sophie Wilson gladly accepted.
"I’m off to work..." Sophie Wilson waved at Charles Seymour and went upstairs into the company.
After organizing all the materials in her hand, she was about to report to President Palmer and encountered Eva, who was also holding something and about to knock on the office door.
Eva’s disdainful eyes swept over Sophie Wilson, and she tutted, "Sophie Wilson, you sure have a way, making men smitten with you."
Sophie Wilson smiled and said, "Was it you who was talking nonsense in front of my boyfriend yesterday?"
This morning during breakfast, Charles had warned her that Eva was maliciously trying to sow discord.
"What nonsense did I speak? I was just stating the facts. If you have a guilty conscience, why care?" Eva snorted, finding Sophie Wilson increasingly unpleasant.
"Eva, do you know how much I dislike you now?" Sophie Wilson tore the pretense apart directly.
"You dislike me? Do you think I like you?" Eva suddenly raised her voice, almost screaming.
"If you don’t like me, then why pretend to be my good friend?" Sophie Wilson asked mockingly, "Playing both sides, aren’t you tired?"
"What’s all the noise?" Edward Palmer came out of the office after hearing the commotion.
"Uncle, she’s bullying me!" Upon seeing a family member, Eva finally found support and stood by Edward Palmer, looking provocatively at Sophie Wilson.
"I’m bullying you?" Sophie Wilson laughed, her eyes bright and dazzling, causing Lucas Payten, who wanted to step forward to speak for Eva, to stop in his tracks and stare blankly at her.
Sophie Wilson is really beautiful; it’s just a pity about her background...
"That’s right, you’re bullying me! Uncle, you have to stand up for me!" Eva clung to Edward Palmer’s arm, constantly acting spoiled.
She couldn’t believe it; with her uncle backing her, how could she not overpower Sophie Wilson?
Sophie Wilson sneered aloud, "I’m bullying you? You haven’t really seen what it’s like when I bully someone!"
"President Palmer, fire Eva!"
