Chapter 1145: Chapter 1145: The Harsh Reality

"President Walton, what do you think should be done about this?"

"You’re asking me? Who should I ask?" Benjamin Walton angrily retorted, "The standard is right there. If they say it’s not up to par, what can I do?"

"Then let’s follow the standard." Another board member said.

"Do you know how much that will increase costs?" Benjamin questioned.

This person is speaking without any consideration, asking for the highest standards which will increase investment, and it’s not just one or two projects, but all of the company’s projects!

If that’s the case, how much will profits decrease? Do they not have any sense?

"What should we do then?" The board member asked anxiously, "This has never happened before."

"Are you implying that things went wrong because I took over Wilson Corporation?" Benjamin asked irritably.

"President Walton, I’m not deliberately nitpicking. I’m just telling it like it is," the board member said solemnly. He didn’t want to take sides; he was on the side of his own money.

There’s no reason my money should be evaporating quickly just because of the issues between the Wilson Clan and Benjamin.

"Benjamin, if you’re unwilling, you can sell your shares to me," Old Mrs. Wilson said straightforwardly, not even bothering to beat around the bush, directly telling Benjamin that he wanted the shares in his hand.

"Dream on!" Benjamin sneered, "I won’t sell the shares I have!"

"Don’t forget, I’m the one who calls the shots at Wilson Corporation now!" Benjamin slammed the table forcefully to bolster his stance.

Saying this, his gaze warningly settled on Old Mrs. Wilson.

Don’t think he didn’t know, these board members suddenly gathered, surely it was the handiwork of this old guy.

"Fine. I’ll just see what becomes of Wilson Corporation in your hands." Old Mrs. Wilson stood up, seemingly not wanting to talk more with Benjamin.

After Old Mrs. Wilson left, the other board members exchanged glances before someone spoke, "President Walton, we don’t care who runs the company, but we don’t want our money to keep disappearing."

"You’re just overthinking." Benjamin said confidently, "It’s just a few small companies; there are plenty who want to cooperate with the company. Are you really worried that Wilson Corporation will collapse?"

Seeing Benjamin so confident, the board members held back from saying more.

After all, Benjamin held more shares than they did.

Should they trust Benjamin once more?

"Don’t worry, the stock price won’t drop any further," Benjamin assured.

Unfortunately, this assurance convinced the board members, but a few days later, harsh reality slapped Benjamin in the face, making it swell like a pig’s head.

No one wanted to collaborate with Wilson Corporation anymore; every company treated the name like the plague and fled at the sight of it.

The products in production needed improved quality and increased costs, but no new business came to replenish fresh blood. In a few days, the massive Wilson Corporation fell into a deadlock.

Not to mention, once news got out, the stock price of Wilson Corporation plummeted like a free fall.

Compared to Wilson Corporation, the Walton Family was the real spectacle.

"What’s going on here?" Old Mr. Walton was anxious, asking Benjamin.

Even though the shares Emerie Wilson transferred to Benjamin didn’t cost money, the shares bought from other board members did.
