Chapter 1141: Chapter 1141: Can’t Hear
"What did he say to you?" Kai Bright asked nervously, "I’m telling you, Lucy, that Kellan Blake is not a good guy."
Just a short distance away, Kellan Blake stumbled and nearly fell.
"Speak quietly." Lucy Wells watched Kellan Blake’s still-visible figure and gently reminded him, "Don’t let him hear."
"It’s fine, he can’t hear from this distance." Kai Bright lied blatantly.
Kellan Blake remained silent.
He may not be as capable as Kai Bright, but from this distance, he could hear clearly.
Kai Bright did it on purpose, and he could vouch for it with his own integrity!
"Mr. Blake is actually quite nice, last time he even came along to save me." Lucy Wells wasn’t someone to talk badly behind people’s backs, so she defended Kellan Blake.
"I was the main force!" Kai Bright was adamant that his fiancée understand the difference—her man was truly reliable.
"I know, but you’re my fiancé. He is just a stranger." Lucy’s explanation alleviated a third of Kai Bright’s jealousy.
"But what did he just say to you?" The remaining two-thirds weren’t so easily erased, Kai Bright continued to press this matter that really bothered him.
"Wished us happiness." Lucy Wells said, her cheeks a bit warm; she too hoped they would be happy forever.
"Of course, I’ll definitely make you happy." Hearing this answer, Kai Bright was finally satisfied and, smiling, pulled Lucy close, "Come on, let’s go inside."
"Okay." Lucy Wells followed Kai Bright as they went inside for dinner.
It seemed all matters had come to an end; both Sophie Wilson and Kai Bright had returned to normal life, living peacefully and happily. However, some people weren’t quite so fortunate lately.
Like Hayley Cole, she found herself friendless.
Friends who had previously stayed in touch were now avoiding her, as she frantically sought them out to tell them how deceitful and hypocritical James Reed was, but nobody believed her.
What made her feel most aggrieved was that James Reed would show up each time, apologizing profusely to her friends, claiming her erratic behavior was due to her relationship with Frederick Cole.
In the end, everyone believed James’s struggles, even advising her to stop causing trouble and just live well with James, to cherish him!
In deep water and fire!
These four words, Hayley Cole recently truly came to understand.
Everyone entirely believed James Reed’s words, feeling she was being unreasonable, while James continually tolerated and loved her.
Hayley Cole’s initial defiant rebellion slowly turned into numbness.
This is the taste of being isolated and without support.
"Hayley, please don’t cause more trouble for James." Charlotte Reed looked at Hayley Cole and sighed deeply, "Why are you so thoughtless? James’s company has just started to develop, his business is finally seeing some progress. He’s already worn out with the company’s matters every day."
"As a wife, how can you not be considerate of your husband?"
Hayley Cole looked silently at Charlotte Reed, said nothing, and dragged her weary body upstairs.
In this house, two hypocrites were manipulating Ethan Seymour, that fool, she knew the truth clearly, but nobody would believe her.
