Chapter 1122: Chapter 1122: I’ll Wait

"Alright, I’m waiting!" Sophie Wilson accepted the "challenge letter".

"It won’t take long." Charles Seymour’s words not only reflected his anticipation for their "battle" but, more importantly, his hope that Sophie’s body could recover soon.

The potion, according to the method provided by Sophie, has entered its final research stage. The preliminary preparations are almost complete; they are just waiting for the final product to be available so it can be used on Sophie.

The closer he is to success, the more cautious he needs to be. There can be no mistakes.

"Alright, I’m waiting for you." Sophie Wilson responded with a cheerful smile.

The two of them tactfully refrained from mentioning Sophie’s condition. Charles Seymour is working hard, firmly believing he will cure Sophie.

As for Sophie Wilson, she never doubted Charles Seymour’s abilities; he will undoubtedly make her well again.

After all, in her previous life, if her body hadn’t deteriorated, he could have cured her without needing... to trade his life for hers.

While Sophie Wilson chatted casually with Charles Seymour, Old Mrs. Wilson was almost losing her mind, shaking her head in disbelief: "Is what you said true? How is it possible? How can this be?"

As she spoke, Old Mrs. Wilson reached for the phone, only to be interrupted by Old Mr. Wilson’s stern voice: "What are you doing?"

"I’m calling Benjamin; he can’t do this." Old Mrs. Wilson said frantically.

Old Mr. Wilson found it extremely amusing: "I saw it with my own eyes; he’s already taken control of Wilson Corporation. Why call him?"

"Then, what about Emerie? Didn’t Emerie try to persuade him?" Old Mrs. Wilson still couldn’t accept the news.

"Benjamin Walton’s illegitimate son has been brought out, do you think he’d care about Emerie?" Old Mr. Wilson asked with a headache.

"What about Emerie, what will Emerie do? How will she stay in the Walton Family? I..."

Old Mrs. Wilson continued her muttering, driving Old Mr. Wilson mad, veins popping on his forehead: "If Emerie Wilson had any sense of duty and remembered we are her parents, she wouldn’t have transferred her shares to Benjamin Walton!"

"Are you still trying to protect her?" Old Mr. Wilson asked angrily, "Hasn’t she come back yet, doesn’t that explain things? She must have returned to the Walton Family!"

"In her heart, Benjamin Walton has always been more important than her parents!" Old Mr. Wilson was getting increasingly furious, never expecting, in the end, to be deceived by his own daughter.

"What should we do?" Old Mrs. Wilson had no idea at this point, asking in distress.

"Now... whether the company can come back depends on Sophie Wilson." Old Mr. Wilson finally saw things clearly, or else he wouldn’t have acted the way he did at the company.

"Will Sophie Wilson ask Charles Seymour to return the company to us?" Old Mrs. Wilson finally heard a glimmer of hope, eagerly asking.

Old Mr. Wilson snorted, the sound full of endless sarcasm: "Sophie Wilson intends to return the company to Mason, which has nothing to do with us."

"It’s okay, it’s okay, as long as the company can come back." Old Mrs. Wilson’s anxious heart finally settled a little, but she nervously asked again, "Will Sophie listen to us in the future?"

"Listen to us?" Old Mr. Wilson’s mocking smile was both at his wife’s wishful thinking and at his past decisions, "Do you think Sophie Wilson, after investigating Benjamin Walton’s illegitimate son, wouldn’t uncover his little tricks behind the scenes?"
