Chapter 1054: Chapter 1054: Is There a Problem?

Hayley Cole absolutely never expected that one day she would be threatened by a woman like Daisy Lewis.

"Fine, fine, you’re something else!" Hayley Cole nodded heavily, "Just wait, I’ll give you the money!"

Facing the enraged Hayley Cole, Daisy Lewis didn’t say much more.

She now understood that the reason she could still comfortably lie in the hospital bed was because Hayley Cole’s father showed up. Otherwise, she might have died in that alley today.

"Miss Cole, my demands aren’t much; I just need to get the money." Daisy Lewis didn’t wish to make an enemy of Hayley Cole either, because being held in Hayley Cole’s grudge was terrifying.

"It’s just a transaction between us, and if it didn’t succeed, it’s no concern of mine. Mainly, it’s that Sophie Wilson who’s so despicable, always coming up with underhanded schemes." Daisy Lewis casually shifted all the blame onto Sophie Wilson.

It was all Sophie Wilson’s fault. If not for her, her husband wouldn’t have been caught, their family’s business wouldn’t have collapsed, and she wouldn’t be in her current state.

Hayley Cole squinted her eyes. She certainly knew it was Sophie Wilson’s fault; if Sophie Wilson weren’t meddling everywhere, why would Charles Seymour target James?

And if it weren’t for Sophie Wilson’s manipulation during the bidding, how could she have won the bid while James, helping the Wilson Corporation, couldn’t secure it?

Were it not for Sophie Wilson, why would the Peace Corporation have intercepted the company the Wilson Corporation wanted to acquire, won the bid, and snatched the project the Wilson Corporation coveted but didn’t win?

"Today is just a lesson for you. In the future, don’t think you can outsmart me." After finishing her words, Hayley Cole strode out.

Seeing Hayley Cole finally leave, Daisy Lewis breathed a sigh of relief, a satisfied smile appearing on her face.

With the money in hand, she no longer had to worry about her future days.

"Don’t follow me, go do what you need to do!" Upon leaving the hospital, those few people were still by her side, and Hayley Cole impatiently waved them off, as if shooing flies away.

"Okay, okay, then Miss Cole, we’ll leave first." The few people exchanged looks, greeted Hayley Cole, and then departed.

As they turned away, their expressions immediately shifted from respect to disdain.

Is Hayley Cole really going down this time?

From the look of Chairman Cole at the time, it seemed he was furious.

Looks like they have to think carefully about what to do next.

They should keep a certain distance from Hayley Cole.

Hayley Cole angrily walked out, heading to the parking lot to find her car, but the person standing by her car triggered a surge of intense hatred in her already furious chest.

"Sophie Wilson, how dare you show your face in front of me!" Hayley Cole ground her teeth, shouting viciously.

Sophie Wilson looked rather puzzled and asked Hayley Cole, "Miss Cole, what are you talking about? Is there a problem between us?"

With Sophie Wilson’s question, Hayley Cole then realized that Sophie Wilson shouldn’t know Daisy Lewis’s issue was orchestrated by her.

Hayley Cole’s reaction was swift as she snorted, saying, "I am now James’s wife, naturally, I don’t like you!"

"If it weren’t for Charles Seymour appearing, would James have to leave Seymour Corporation now?" Hayley Cole thought she had found a perfect reason, cursing in exasperation.

Moreover, this was indeed her grievance, and she spoke without any pretense of deceit.
