Chapter 1021: Chapter 1021: Almost Through the Hard Times

Benjamin Walton helped the Wilson Corporation secure the business by lowering the price, which brought mixed reactions from the board members.

Those who wanted to work hard were naturally happy to see this happen, but those who were always a bit restless had their own calculations.

"Benjamin, is it really a good idea to be so close with James Reed?"

In response to the board’s questions, Benjamin Walton chuckled and said, "Gentlemen, our company is doing better now, all thanks to James connecting us. Is it really appropriate for you to be saying this now?"

Benjamin Walton’s answer only increased the board’s anxiety.

Everything they owned depended on James Reed, and what if Charles Seymour suppressed James?

If the Wilson Corporation’s stock price fell, their assets would shrink, and their lives would be difficult.

"Gentlemen, don’t overthink. Whether it’s Charles Seymour or James Reed, after all, they’re blood brothers and family. Maybe they’ll reconcile in the future." Benjamin Walton smiled and added, "Isn’t it a bit premature for you to worry about this now?"

Reconcile?

The board members wanted to sneer at Benjamin Walton.

Had Charles Seymour and James Reed ever had a good relationship?

"Besides, the Seymour Corporation is headed by Old Mr. Seymour. There’s no way Charles and James could create a stir." The more Benjamin said this, the more worried the board became.

"It’s not us worrying; it’s that Charles Seymour and James Reed are irreconcilable."

"Our Wilson Corporation should stay out of it."

Listening to the board, Benjamin Walton said helplessly, "Gentlemen, I understand your concerns, but... the reason I’m sitting here today is that my brother isn’t at the Wilson Clan."

Benjamin’s words were subtle but clear, leaving no doubt in the board members’ minds.

Mason Wilson had a fallout with Old Mrs. Wilson over Sophie Wilson and left the Wilson Clan. And Sophie is Charles Seymour’s fiancée, while Charles and James Reed are sworn enemies. Their Wilson Corporation was destined to stand on the opposite side of Charles Seymour.

"This is ridiculous!"

The board members who figured it out left in anger.

In the empty office, Benjamin Walton wore a smug smile. Those people definitely couldn’t persuade Old Mrs. Wilson, which meant their shares would soon be his.

Benjamin had cast his net wide, just waiting for the big fish to jump in.

After so many years of patience, he finally saw some light at the end of the tunnel and was about to succeed!

——

"It’s really lively tonight." Sophie Wilson leaned against Charles Seymour, letting half of her weight rest on him as she lazily strolled forward.

The business street at night was still bustling, people chatting and laughing leisurely, creating a laid-back atmosphere.

Charles Seymour allowed Sophie to lean on him, feeling quite pleased. His wife being like this was quite nice.

Sophie Wilson pointed with her hand, "I want an ice cream cone."

"You just finished dinner." Charles Seymour stated the obvious.

Sophie Wilson turned her head, pouted, and sweetly pleaded, "I want an ice cream cone..."

Her dewy peach blossom eyes, with a touch of enchanting red at the corners, looked at Charles Seymour innocently yet seductively, pure yet alluring.

Charles Seymour couldn’t hold the gaze for more than three seconds before conceding, "Okay, I’ll buy it."
