Chapter 821: Chapter 801: Are You Two Putting on an Act?
"Well, try signing for a year... don’t go for ten years or something, your uncle would think you’re wasting resources, right? Getting a new position doesn’t mean you have to rush things." Luo Qianqian still frowned. "But since it’s your job, I can’t say much. You figure it out and come find me when you’re done eating." With that, she turned and left.
Qin Nuan quietly added, "Nicely done!"
Seeing the stubborn look on the young girl’s face, Qin Nuan pressed on, "Don’t worry, she’s just a kid. She’s only somewhat related to Haoran Entertainment, and I’m in charge here."
Luo Qianqian didn’t know how things were on Qin Nuan’s side. As soon as she entered the room, she took off her coat and sat next to Jimo Cheng, pulling out her notebook.
Fang Youyuan resigned himself to ordering, with Luo Qianqian chiming in now and then.
Jimo Cheng and Fang Youyuan could only show helplessness at this. Wanting to eat but having to rush homework, what a pity. Wanting food but not having focus, and no concentration for studying, nothing gets done well.
Luo Qianqian’s eyes darted around, "Senior, is there ice cream?"
Jimo Cheng was taken aback and looked at the waiter. The waiter nodded, "Yes, we have scoops, in various flavors."
"I want three scoops, one strawberry, one chocolate, and one tiramisu," Luo Qianqian immediately said.
Watching the waiter confirm the order and leave the room, Jimo Cheng raised his eyebrows, "You’re not cold now?"
Luo Qianqian seriously replied, "I’m just trying to clear my mind from the heat, making it hard to think."
Fang Youyuan silently took out his sketchpad and continued drawing, while Luo Qianqian worked on her homework with Jimo Cheng’s help, still puzzled, "Senior, how do you know this stuff?"
Fang Youyuan looked up, saw Jimo Cheng blushing, and then heard him say, "It’s just that there’s not much going on lately, so I just looked it over." He sighed helplessly.
Looked it over? Since when does that involve bringing in an expert to explain?
"Senior is indeed senior," Luo Qianqian understood it wasn’t as simple as Jimo Cheng said, but still looked at him with admiration, "I can’t do that. Just missing two classes makes everything sound like Greek to me."
Jimo Cheng noted that this stuff really was like a foreign language at first, leaving one utterly perplexed.
"Qianqian." Qin Nuan came in with the waiter, and seeing her, Luo Qianqian’s eyes sparkled, "How did it go?"
"You’re amazing, just one look and you understood!" Qin Nuan was also thrilled, "Tomorrow we go sign the contract."
Luo Qianqian just raised her eyebrows, as if to say, who else could it be, right?
Proudly she raised her eyebrows.
Qin Nuan lowered her voice, pretending to be childish, "Admire me, won’t you? I was the smartest kid in our village."
Watching the duo banter back and forth, Jimo Cheng couldn’t help but smile, "Nuannuan, have you eaten?"
Isn’t that obvious? After all, this is a restaurant, right...
Luo Qianqian was about to say just that, but saw Qin Nuan shake her head with a somewhat aggrieved expression, "Don’t even mention it. I only had two hundred bucks on me, and she ate it all. I have no idea how long she hasn’t had meat."
"Do you want to order some more?" Luo Qianqian asked, looking at Fang Youyuan.
After all, it was Fang Youyuan who ordered the food, he really didn’t know how much it all cost, did he?
"No need, no need, I’ll just have some vegetables," Qin Nuan said, glancing at the table full of stuff, her face awash with resignation, "You still haven’t finished your homework this whole afternoon?"
Just then, the waiter came in with a cart, and Luo Qianqian closed her mouth silently, not wanting to embarrass herself at the restaurant.
As the waiter left, Luo Qianqian was about to speak when Qin Nuan, in a squeaky voice, said, "No, it’s called thinking, do you understand?"
Luo Qianqian’s mouth fell open in surprise.
Qin Nuan continued, "Why are you blurting out the truth like that?"
Luo Qianqian winced, barely able to speak, when she heard Qin Nuan say, "What shocked you this afternoon?"
Luo Qianqian nodded vigorously.
Qin Nuan returned to her normal voice, looking tired, "I spent the whole afternoon watching people perform tricks with monkeys..." As she recounted her afternoon’s experience, Luo Qianqian just lay on the table, laughing. Listening to Qin Nuan describing the exaggerated performances, she was full of admiration.
Everyone lives in their own way.
After a laugh, Luo Qianqian put away her notebook and started eating meat, with Jimo Cheng smiling as he picked out what she liked, not eating much himself.
After dinner, seeing that Luo Qianqian had an ice cream, Qin Nuan also ordered one. The two happily finished them before Jimo Cheng and Fang Youyuan escorted them back to their dormitory building.
Standing at the stairway watching them leave, they exchanged glances, "Where to?"
"Where to?"
They asked at the same time—it was strange to be asking this at the dorm entrance, right?
"Let’s just hang out in the dorm, I’ve got a class tomorrow morning," Luo Qianqian yawned, "Can you believe I actually skipped class just to do homework?"
Walking up the stairs arm in arm, Luo Qianqian’s face was full of helplessness.
"Sounds like you," Qin Nuan said calmly, "I’ve realized I shouldn’t be studying my current major. I should have gone for a gossip major or maybe media studies."
"You want to apply to an art college? Does that mean you’d have to take college entrance exams again?" Luo Qianqian smirked, "I’m sure Yanran would never agree."
"You get me," Qin Nuan nodded in agreement, her face filled with helplessness, "I don’t know why, but suddenly life feels a bit ordinary. What do you think?" she said, raising her eyebrow at Luo Qianqian.
Luo Qianqian had a blank expression, "I get it, I get it, you don’t have to keep reminding me..." visibly exasperated, "I’ll take care of it promptly, okay?"
"Okay." Qin Nuan nodded contentedly, and as they entered the dorm, they were greeted by a huge bouquet of roses, eyes widening, "What’s going on here?"
An enormous bouquet, so large that nothing else could fit on the table.
Luo Qianqian swallowed, "Who could this be from?"
"Huh? You guys don’t know either?" Cong Rong was also dumbfounded, full of disbelief, "Zhang Yun and I carried this in, it was addressed to our dorm’s little fairy, but didn’t specify. I asked Yanwu, and it wasn’t from him."
Zhang Yun shook her head, "It wasn’t from Jiayou either."
Luo Qianqian tilted her head, "I just parted with senior, so it shouldn’t be from him..."
Qin Nuan looked at her phone, "Not from my boyfriend either."
The group looked at each other, "What’s going on here?"
