Chapter 788: 768: Lin Jiayou’s Ex-Girlfriend (Part 2)
```
The three of them finally finished packing up and left the house. Luo Qianqian also refused to let Lin Jiayou continue driving and resolutely chose to take a taxi.
Still driving? Are you asking to be scammed into oblivion?
Who knows what she’s up to, coming over with luggage like that? Maybe she’s planning to mooch off Lin Jiayou? A day or two is fine, but if this is her behavior after a week or two, what about a month or two?
Sitting in the passenger seat, Luo Qianqian felt a bit sour while listening to Lin Jiayou give directions.
At first, those two were as close as could be, but after the college entrance exams, things weren’t right, and not long after starting university, she cheated on him, and now they’re somehow back together. So the question is, did this woman put a green hat on her current boyfriend, or was the guy just too handsome to resist?
Otherwise, it doesn’t make sense, does it? Why else would she want to rekindle an old flame? Agreeing to have a meal together is weird enough to begin with.
If you’ve been cuckolded by someone, who would dare agree to eat with them? Aren’t they afraid of being beaten to death?
But here we are, not only did they go out to eat, they also drank, and after getting drunk, something happened...
No matter how you think about it, it doesn’t add up. It’s worth pondering whether this was a coincidence, a calculated move, or something that needs careful consideration.
After getting out of the car, Luo Qianqian paid for the ride. Lin Jiayou looked a bit awkwardly at Luo Qianqian, "So, do we go up now, or what?"
"We won’t go up. You bring her down for the meal," said Luo Qianqian, very composed. "With your phone off for so long, who knows if she’s really starved or not?"
Lin Jiayou was stunned; he really hadn’t wanted to check his phone and hadn’t realized it was off until Luo Qianqian mentioned it, and then he nodded in acknowledgment.
Looking around, he pointed toward a café that clearly had surveillance cameras. "I’ll wait for you there."
Watching Lin Jiayou enter the motel, Elvis frowned, "Why aren’t you going up?"
"I’m afraid of getting styes," replied Luo Qianqian, flipping her eyes in disdain. "If you want to watch, you can go up and take a look. I’m not interested."
"Uh..." Elvis was speechless; he meant for Luo Qianqian to go up too so that she could prevent the other woman from throwing a tantrum and bullying Lin Jiayou, right?
"And besides..." Luo Qianqian paused. "We should give Brother Jiayou some face so she doesn’t embarrass him too much, in case Jiayou feels too ashamed to look me in the eye afterwards."
Elvis was instantly speechless. How could he have known that Luo Qianqian had actually considered the possibility of the other woman being a shrew?
After all, the girls he had met were all very gentle, even at most, they would just cry and run away when faced with something.
How can a pursuer and an ex be on the same level?
In front of someone they like, even if they’re famished enough to eat a whole cow, when asked what they’d like to eat, they’d shyly reply ’strawberry pudding.’ Can just anyone pull that off?
In front of acquaintances, they drink and skewer as boldly as any man could, aren’t those just jokes?
Sipping coffee leisurely, Elvis looked at Luo Qianqian enjoying her little cake in a relaxed manner; beside her was even a cup of hot milk, steaming and seemingly too hot to savor.
"How come they’re not here yet?" After finishing her cake, Luo Qianqian inverted the plate atop the milk cup and wore an expression full of impatience.
Helplessly glancing outside, Elvis was about to say something when he saw two people coming out of the motel, one of whom was Lin Jiayou. "Looks like they’re here," he said.
Luo Qianqian turned to look and nodded, "Come sit here..."
She really didn’t want to sit with that woman, but if she sat with Lin Jiayou... then Elvis would be the awkward one. The best solution seemed to be to let Lin Jiayou deal with the pain he brought on himself!
Elvis swiftly moved to Luo Qianqian’s side, as if afraid that a moment’s delay would allow Lin Jiayou to beat him to the spot.
"Qianqian," Lin Jiayou came over with his ex, letting the woman sit across from Luo Qianqian.
"Brother Jiayou," Luo Qianqian smiled while raising her brows.
The woman was unabashed and called out, "Waiter, we’d like to order."
Then she directly turned to Luo Qianqian, "You’re paying, aren’t you?"
```
Luo Qianqian nodded calmly.
"That’s great, please get me a steak meal and then one of each dessert, along with a strawberry milk tea," she declared quickly after flipping through the menu.
Luo Qianqian, with an even expression, turned to the waiter: "For this gentleman, an Americano, and for this lady, whatever she wants."
The waiter nodded and left.
Before Lin Jiayou could say anything, he heard the woman begin to chatter: "I told him to find you earlier. Your family is so rich, what would it matter to give us a little? You can’t finish spending it all yourself..."
"Oh, why should I?" Luo Qianqian asked with a smile, sharply contrasting the woman’s brash demeanor.
"Because of the child in my belly! Don’t tell me you’re planning to shirk responsibility?!" The woman burst out, looking proud.
Luo Qianqian very calmly reached out and grabbed the woman’s hand from behind, looking at her hand: "You really have nice skin."
The woman displayed pride: "Of course, they say a woman’s hands are her second face." She looked puzzled as Luo Qianqian pressed on her wrist, "What are you doing?"
"They say that pregnancy makes the pulse slippery, I’m taking your pulse," Luo Qianqian responded seriously.
The woman immediately turned to Lin Jiayou: "You don’t believe me? You forgot what you did so soon? Now you even have doubts about me?"
Lin Jiayou, however, was surprised as he watched Luo Qianqian; he had no idea she had such a skill.
Elvis watched Luo Qianqian’s expression silently but couldn’t see any sign of certainty in her gaze.
When the food arrived, the woman wolfed down her meal. Luo Qianqian quietly turned her head to look out the window, ignoring the three of them.
Once Lin Jiayou’s coffee arrived, the woman unceremoniously grabbed it, took a sip, then spit it back out: "What is this crap?"
Lin Jiayou frowned deeply and didn’t touch the coffee again.
Watching nearly all the food be devoured, the woman burped without any concern for her image; only then did Luo Qianqian ask quietly, "Are you full?"
"It’s alright," the woman said unapologetically, "Pack some more for me to take home later; I need to eat in the evening too."
Luo Qianqian nodded nonchalantly: "Sure, let’s head to the hospital for a check-up first."
"Hospital?" The woman frowned at Luo Qianqian, then immediately turned to Lin Jiayou: "Is this what you want? You don’t want to take responsibility for me and the child? You want me to get rid of it?"
"How do you want to take responsibility?" Luo Qianqian still kept her smile.
The woman was blunt: "Lin Jiayou must marry me, and you have to give me a dowry of 200,000! I’ve inquired; it’s nothing for you, Luo Qianqian, to cough up this amount."
Luo Qianqian nodded: "Mhm, it’s nothing."
Lin Jiayou’s brows twisted into a knot; he didn’t want to marry this woman at all. He didn’t interrupt Luo Qianqian though, knowing that no matter how wrong he was, she would still back him up, just because they were siblings.
Besides, what happened between him and Zhang Yun wasn’t exactly a secret.
"Then that settles it, he should marry me right now!" The woman was triumphant.
Luo Qianqian’s lips curved: "The problem is, my last name is Luo, his is Lin, why should I pay this money? You’ve approached the wrong person, right?"
"You don’t care about him..."
"You should know, he’s my brother, but you’re not my acknowledged sister-in-law. If you want to enter my family’s house, sorry, I don’t agree," Luo Qianqian cut her off bluntly.
The woman’s face immediately turned pale, but she bit her lip and said nothing.
Lin Jiayou frowned and after thinking, he didn’t speak. At that moment, Luo Qianqian slowly began to speak again: "Do you know? Pregnancy can only be confirmed after a minimum of one month, and even if you were pregnant, it’s likely you aren’t any longer."
Luo Qianqian pointed at the plate of desserts, her face full of smiles: "Do you know what this crispy, crumbly dessert that you love so much is? It’s almond crisp, yet you seem to be doing just fine right now."
