Chapter 779: Chapter 759: Yue Xiluo
Furrowing her brows in deep thought, Luo Qianqian did not look up again. Even though her mind wandered, no one deliberately reminded her about it.
After class, Yue Xiluo almost fled in panic at Luo Qianqian’s gaze, but he calmly packed up his things and turned to leave.
Luo Qianqian took out her wallet and tossed her bag to Elvis, "Keep an eye on this for me."
Just after she spoke, she ran out. Elvis watched the scene and sighed in relief, assuming Luo Qianqian was simply hungry.
Yet Luo Qianqian caught up with Yue Xiluo’s pace, "Teacher."
Yue Xiluo’s steps stiffened. He felt something was particularly odd about Luo Qianqian today, but he still turned around, "What is it, Luo Qianqian? I saw you were distracted all day. Don’t let it happen next time."
Luo Qianqian’s lips curled up. "Yes, teacher. Teacher, may I look at your hand?"
Yue Xiluo paused, then stretched out his right hand.
Seeing this subconscious gesture, Luo Qianqian did not react but just smiled, "Teacher, your hand looks very familiar to me."
After speaking, she tilted her head and looked past Yue Xiluo, stretching out a hand, "Nuannuan, why are you here?"
Yue Xiluo turned reflexively, only to feel a pain in his wrist. When he turned back, he saw Luo Qianqian looking surprised and flustered, apologizing profusely.
Yue Xiluo shook his head, looking at Luo Qianqian, "My hand looks familiar?"
"Yes, even more familiar than your handwriting. It’s like an uncle I met before who couldn’t speak." Luo Qianqian put away her wallet and smiled, "Teacher, I have to go now, my friends are waiting for me."
Yue Xiluo nodded. After all, it was Luo Qianqian who had stopped him, but Luo Qianqian...
Suddenly, Yue Xiluo raised his hand to look at his wrist. At first, he had only noticed the flashy decorations on Luo Qianqian’s wallet and thought he had accidentally scraped himself, but now it was clear that was not the case.
There was a distinct needle mark on his wrist.
His gaze profound, he watched the direction Luo Qianqian had left in. He sighed lightly and turned to go in the opposite direction they had come from.
Luo Qianqian looked at the drop of blood hanging precariously from the jade needle, quickly pulled over a small plastic bag holding a bunch of photos, her expression serious.
She immediately pulled out her phone, "Nuannuan, after class can you help me get my backpack from our classroom? I have to step out for a bit."
Although Qin Nuan frowned in displeasure at Luo Qianqian skipping class, she agreed. The urgency in Luo Qianqian’s voice was unusual.
Luo Qianqian took a cab straight to the private hospital Jimo Cheng had previously taken her to. She knew well that some things were beyond the capability of a regular hospital.
"Miss Jin Yuee?" Since not much time had passed, someone recognized her immediately upon seeing her.
Luo Qianqian hesitated for a moment, "First of all, this matter needs to be kept confidential, from Teacher Brother and Grandpa Kong too."
The man in white nodded, "Of course, go ahead."
Luo Qianqian took out the plastic bag with the now-dried blood, "Can I do a paternity test with this drop of blood?"
The man in white paused, then nodded, "Yes, but it will take some time."
"No problem, I can wait." Luo Qianqian nodded and handed over the plastic bag, "Would my hair or blood be more convenient to use?"
"Either is fine." The man in white carefully took Luo Qianqian’s plastic bag, looking at her, "But Jin Nian mentioned, Miss Jin Yuee, you are afraid of pain, so a snippet of hair will do."
Luo Qianqian paused, touched inside, and nodded.
Then, Luo Qianqian waited right there without moving, even when the man in white said it would take time and suggested she go home to wait. She stubbornly sat on the chair for five whole hours.
The man in white came out holding a file and handed it to Luo Qianqian.
Luo Qianqian was stunned for a long time before she opened it. After reading it, she chuckled a few times.
"Please keep this matter confidential. And, thank you." After saying that, Luo Qianqian bowed to the man in white and turned to leave.
The man in white had a face full of exclamation and helplessly shook his head.
After Luo Qianqian left the building, both her hands were trembling. It didn’t matter that she didn’t have a car; she could walk, she needed to calm down now.
However, she hadn’t walked far when a car stopped in front of her.
Luo Qianqian was startled as the driver rolled down the window—it was Yue Xiluo. Luo Qianqian hesitated for a moment, said nothing, and got into the car.
"Did you find out?" Yue Xiluo looked at the folder in Luo Qianqian’s hand and sighed.
"Why?" Luo Qianqian stared at Yue Xiluo, her eyes brimming with tears that she stubbornly refused to let fall.
Yue Xiluo smiled faintly, "There are many reasons."
"You know I’m not satisfied with that answer." Luo Qianqian’s voice trembled, "You know..."
"Qianqian, the adult world is very complicated," Yue Xiluo looked at Luo Qianqian and slightly shook his head, "What you’re experiencing now is nothing."
What is it? Luo Qianqian glared, and the tears quickly receded.
What is it? She was kidnapped at a young age, then got involved in the Han Family’s affairs, and later her brother was...
"No, is my brother..." Luo Qianqian frowned tightly.
"I just quit my job, and the flight is at dawn. Will you join me for something to eat?" Yue Xiluo asked softly.
Luo Qianqian looked incredulous, "Why?"
"I’ll explain slowly, but first, what would you like to eat? BBQ? Or Peking duck? We must not forget about dessert, right?" Yue Xiluo smiled.
Luo Qianqian, frowning, suddenly said, "I’ll take you to Shangqi Club, how does that sound?"
Yue Xiluo’s face stiffened, then returned to calm after a moment, "Sure."
The drive was silent. Luo Qianqian watched as the sky darkened, said nothing, and just gazed faintly out of the car window.
Her phone rang; she calmly pressed it to silence and sent a message back.
They didn’t speak the whole way. Upon arriving at Shangqi Club, Luo Qianqian was taken to a private room without showing her card.
Seeing that the server was nervous again, Luo Qianqian just hooked her lips, "Just bring the same dishes as last time."
The server was taken aback, then quickly nodded and left.
Closing the door, leaning against it, she thought, God, how did these two heavyweight figures come together? And just when the manager isn’t here... isn’t this going to cost her dearly? What if there’s a complaint... and what were last time’s dishes? How does she not know?
Luckily, someone rushed over at that moment.
"Did the Number One VIP arrive?" the person asked.
The server, with a pained expression, replied, "Yes, help... who can tell me what were last time’s dishes."
The people inside the private room naturally did not know what was happening outside.
Luo Qianqian had regained her composure; she was no longer the baby who clung to her brother’s legs crying, not thinking that someone was about to kill her, actually this person was still...
"So how should I address you now? As a teacher? Mr. Yue Xiluo, or..."
