Chapter 751: Chapter 731: Pressure?
"Sleep, sleep, to hell with the friggin’ idiot," Luo Qianqian expressed her thoughts directly with an eye roll.
Qin Nuan shrugged and sat back on the bed. She couldn’t sleep anymore and just watched as Luo Qianqian climbed onto the bed with smooth, rapid movements, flipped the covers, and lay down.
However, before she could drift off to sleep, someone knocked on the door: "Luo Qianqian, Luo Qianqian, there’s a handsome guy here to apologize to you!"
"I’ve seen through it all," Luo Qianqian threw off the covers and sat up, clenching her fists and rubbing her hands together, a hint of anger in her eyes, "You’re not satisfied until I’m completely famous, are you?"
"And they’re all pretty handsome too. Do you think your senior brother might..." Qin Nuan got up with a mischievous grin and leaned on the headboard, looking at Luo Qianqian.
"Your jinx mouth..." Cong Rong was about to say something when she paused, then shook her head helplessly: "Qianqian, your senior brother really is here."
"What?" Luo Qianqian laid back down: "I’m dead, burn paper for me if you need something."
"Hurry up and get up," Qin Nuan approached the window to look out and saw Jimo Cheng just standing to the side, watching the commotion, without any superfluous expression, instead taking out his phone.
Soon after, Luo Qianqian’s phone rang.
"Senior brother..." Luo Qianqian answered the phone under the covers, her face full of anger safe behind her unseen expression: "What’s up?"
"Um, I’m downstairs under your dorm building. It seems that yesterday’s incident isn’t over yet," Jimo Cheng’s voice was calm: "I’ll speak with grandfather in a moment and change it to tomorrow. You should contact the teacher on your side."
Luo Qianqian was startled, then she threw off the covers: "Ah? Tomorrow, won’t the alpacas..."
"They won’t." Jimo Cheng thought Luo Qianqian was going to say something else but felt helpless when he heard this.
Luo Qianqian finally let out a sigh of relief: "All right then, but senior brother, what do we tell the teacher?"
"The incident yesterday was big news, the teacher must have heard something. Just say someone is tarnishing your reputation, and if the school doesn’t handle it, you’ll seek legal action," Jimo Cheng said calmly, looking at a line of rather handsome boys: "The Mo Family will back you up."
"Okay, senior brother." Luo Qianqian paused for a moment before replying, it seemed like every time there was a problem, her senior brother was there to support her. But she hadn’t done anything for her senior brother, and she was filled with many emotions at the moment.
After hanging up the phone, she faced the concerned looks in the dorm: "Senior brother said to talk to the teacher, and if the teacher doesn’t care, to call the police."
Qin Nuan was taken aback and then nodded her head. Even if someone deleted the stuff from her computer, if it were a pro like Hei Yu, it could still be resolved, right? Recovering a file shouldn’t be a problem, right? And even if others didn’t know, she knew about the backup USB drive that Luo Qianqian had.
With pursed lips, Luo Qianqian made a direct call home... Qin Wen, who had close ties with her family, and Luo Yanran communicated with the school. After all, she was young, and nobody would believe what she said. But if Old Master Luo and Second Uncle Luo got involved, it would just look like they were protecting their own.
Although Qin Wen was also protective, it couldn’t be denied that in such situations, finding a lawyer was obviously more serious than involving family.
It always felt like the Luo Family were too intimidating, with an ever-present threat of escalating to violence any minute.
After hearing the whole story from Luo Qianqian, Qin Wen agreed without a second word and also didn’t forget to bring along his police friend Qiu Yu.
Qiu Yu was no less decisive, hearing about the incident, he treated it as harassment and defamation, donning his work uniform and driving his small second-hand car straight to the school. When he arrived at the school gate, he did not forget to present his work credentials.
Qin Wen arrived soon after, directly locating the department head. You’re not at work? No problem, he could wait.
Under the dual pressure of police and parental involvement, some teachers and school leaders were forced to return to the school during their holiday.
"Hello, I am Qin Wen, and this is my lawyer’s license." Qin Wen did not shake hands with the short-statured man in front of him. "I am a parent of Qin Nuan, a sophomore in the Chinese department, and I am also the lawyer for Luo Qianqian, a freshman in the computer science department."
The short man in front of him took out a handkerchief to wipe the non-existent sweat from his forehead and opened the door. "Please come in."
"Regarding the post on your school’s campus network last night, and the incident under the girls’ dormitory this morning..." Qin Wen was following the school’s route, while Qiu Yu, who took the legal route, was straightforward. He displayed his credentials, took out his notebook and pen. "Name, age, contact information?"
At the sight of the police arrival, several people in white shirts were dumbfounded. What was happening?
Seeing the crowd downstairs from the dormitory room, Luo Qianqian snorted through her nose, changed her clothes, and said, "I’m going out for a bit, call me if there’s anything." After speaking, she didn’t forget to put on a hat and dashed off quickly.
"Where is she going?"
Qin Nuan looked confused. Everyone was busy with her matter, so why had the person in question run off?
Luo Qianqian left through the dorm’s side door, jogged all the way down, and took a cab straight to Hei Yu’s base.
Using the familiarity from her previous visits and the card in her wallet, she successfully entered the room she used before, switched on the computer skillfully, and unplugged the network cable.
Reaching into her pocket, she took out a USB drive and plugged it into the computer...
Hei Yu was naturally aware of her arrival, but he was somewhat puzzled to see her heading straight for the computer and disconnecting the internet. As Luo Qianqian froze in front of the computer, he leisurely carried a cup of coffee from his computer to find her.
After knocking on the door, he saw Luo Qianqian had already cleared the traces and was shutting down the computer. Her facial expression was somewhat strange. "What’s wrong? Why did you suddenly come here?"
Luo Qianqian startled, glanced at the door, and seeing Hei Yu, she let out a sigh of relief, "It’s nothing, just messing with the computer. By the way, there seemed to be a powerful person on our school’s campus network yesterday, right? He was able to delete replies instantly."
Luo Qianqian’s words carried a hint of probing since she felt such a task didn’t seem humanly possible in terms of speed.
Hei Yu looked at her with disdain, "There are more than twenty people who could do such a thing at your school."
In other words, it was beneath him to even attempt it.
Luo Qianqian nodded, looking at Hei Yu’s face which seemed even more gaunt, "You should eat more, Teacher. You look like you’ve been touched by something you shouldn’t have—so pale without a hint of color."
Hei Yu nodded, not saying much, but listened as Luo Qianqian continued, "If there’s nothing else, I’ll be going then. Goodbye, Teacher." After saying this, she turned and left so quickly that she didn’t even notice she had dropped her hat.
Hei Yu watched Luo Qianqian’s departing figure, her steps laced with a hint of bewilderment. He raised an eyebrow, stood stationary, watching her fade into the distance without checking what she had just been viewing, only closed the room door, and leisurely went back to sleep. "Why bother with children’s affairs that much?"
