Chapter 201: Rebate King

Seeing Stan walk away, Emma froze. The other guards stood there equally stunned.

He gave no speech nor recognition. He gave no request for repayment. He didn’t even makean attempt to take credit.

He simply paid and left.

Watching the increasingly reverent gazes directed toward him, Stan couldn’t help but sigh inwardly.

’How troublesome...’

The last thing he wanted was to become the subject of admiration.

Unfortunately, it seemed impossible to avoid now.

As he walked away, his attention briefly returned to Amelia’s room.

The doctors had already begun. Medical personnels moved in and out with remarkable efficiency.

The equipment for life sustainance was removed and replaced with more advanced systems that’ll actually help. Several specialized machines were wheeled into the room. Experts gathered around digital displays while consultations began almost immediately.

The entire intensive care floor had become noticeably more active. Resources that had previously been unavailable were suddenly appearing one after another.

Stan watched the scene with mild amusement.

’Though I have to admit...’

’I’m surprised they started this quickly.’

Then he remembered the amount he had transferred.

Thirty million dollars.

Enough money to purchase entire buildings.

Enough money to make most organizations think twice before spending it.

His lips twitched slightly.

’Well...’

’I did pay them thirty million dollars.’

His gaze drifted toward the swarm of doctors bustling around Amelia’s room.

A faint smile tugged at the corner of his mouth.

’It would’ve been far more surprising if they delayed.’

With the situation under control, Stan no longer had any reason to remain. The doctors had taken over. The Vanguard team was present.

And Amelia was finally receiving the treatment she needed.

His part was finished. Not that he had a part in the first pace, he just came and checked on her just because he felt like it..

Anyway without another word, he turned and continued down the corridor.

The guards instinctively stepped aside to make way for him.

None of them attempted to stop him.

For a moment, they simply watched his departing figure in silence.

Emma was no exception.

Her gaze followed him until he disappeared around the corner.

Only then did she slowly look away.

’If he didn’t want them flocking over and thanking him, then she and her comrades shouldn’t be nuisances and do that...

Meanwhile, Stan reached the elevator lobby. The polished steel doors reflected the bright hospital lights.

He then pressed the button.

A few seconds later, the elevator arrived with a soft chime.

The doors slid open and stan stepped inside.

The moment the doors closed, the noise of the hospital vanished completely.

Silence returned.

Descending toward the lower floors, he casually slipped one hand into his pocket.

His expression remained as calm as ever.

To anyone watching, he looked less like someone who had just spent thirty million dollars and more like someone leaving after buying a cup of coffee.

The elevator eventually reached the ground floor.

DING!

The doors opened.

Stan stepped out and made his way through the spacious hospital lobby.

Several staff members recognized him, he was a popular figure after all. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶

A few offered polite greetings. Others gave him surprised looks. They were all surprised to meet the popular, wealthy Stan, with multiple viral clips of him in a Lamborghini, his performances in Ghost Signal and Unfinished Business, and the widely circulated Quinn pleading footage still trending. The videos continued to rack up views daily, and by now his popularity rivaled even the most prominent female campus celebrities at Peak University.

Fortunately, nobody was foolish enough to stop him.

He exited through the hospital’s main entrance.

The evening air greeted him immediately; Cool and fresh. A welcome contrast to the sterile atmosphere inside.

The city lights glittered in the distance as vehicles moved steadily along the roads beyond the hospital grounds.

Stan descended the front steps and headed toward the parking area.

Rows of luxury vehicles occupied the reserved section.

Yet even among them, one car stood out effortlessly. His sleek black Lamborghini.

Its low-slung body gleamed beneath the overhead lights, reflecting the surrounding cityscape like a dark mirror. Elegant, aggressive and expensive.

Much like its owner.

Stan approached the vehicle and casually pressed the key fob.

The headlights flashed and the doors unlocked with a soft click.

He opened the driver’s door and slid into the leather seat.

The interior immediately enveloped him in quiet luxury.

Closing the door behind him, he rested one hand on the steering wheel.

For a brief moment, he simply sat there. Then letting out a sigh, he pressed the ignition.

The engine came alive with a deep, powerful growl. The sound echoed softly through the parking lot.

Several nearby pedestrians turned instinctively.

Stan, however, paid them no attention.

With practiced ease, he guided the Lamborghini out of its parking space.

The vehicle rolled smoothly toward the exit. Moments later, it merged onto the city streets.

The hospital gradually disappeared in the rearview mirror. Neon lights streaked across the windshield.

Towering buildings passed by on either side.

Traffic flowed around him as the black Lamborghini moved effortlessly through the city.

Inside the car, Stan drove with one hand on the wheel, his posture relaxed.

His thoughts briefly drifted back to Amelia.

’The doctors would do everything possible now.’

After receiving that kind of payment, they would probably move heaven and earth if necessary.

A faint smirk appeared on his face. Thirty million dollars had a remarkable ability to motivate people.

But money wasn’t what motivated him. Rebates were.

The moment the thought crossed his mind, the smirk widened.

With the Supreme Rebate System, spending money no longer felt like spending money at all.

Others saw thirty million dollars disappearing from his account. He saw an opportunity. A stepping stone. A transaction that would eventually come back to him many times over.

Thinking about it, Stan couldn’t help but feel a sense of satisfaction.

The Supreme Rebate System had changed everything.

Not long ago, he won’t even dream of spending a thousand dollars casually... Now he wasn’t even spending a thousand but thirty million, and even then It barely registered.

As the city lights reflected across the windshield, he leaned back slightly in his seat.

A strange thought suddenly surfaced in his mind.

With his wealth growing at an absurd rate and the system constantly rewarding him for spending, he sometimes felt as though he ruled over an endless treasury. Like a king.

Stan stared out the side window for a moment before chuckling to himself.

"A king, huh?"

The idea sounded ridiculous. Yet not entirely inaccurate. Then another thought appeared. His grin grew wider.

"Or should I say..." He paused dramatically. "The Rebate King."

The words hung in the air for a second. Then he burst out laughing.

"Haha... damn, that actually sounds pretty good."

The laughter filled the luxurious interior of the Lamborghini.

If anyone from the outside had seen him, they would have been utterly confused.

A man driving a multi-million-dollar supercar while laughing at a self-proclaimed title.

Fortunately, there was nobody around to witness it. After a while, the laughter faded, leaving behind a lingering smile.

Stan shook his head and focused on the road again. The city stretched endlessly before him. Neon lights illuminated the streets.

Towering skyscrapers rose against the night sky.

Beneath him, the Lamborghini’s engine purred with quiet power.

The cool evening air drifted through the slightly open window..

And for the first time since the kidnapping incident had begun, Stan found himself enjoying something rare.

A peaceful drive.
