Chapter 1166: Chapter 625: Forces Gather! Inside the Saint Tomb!
Although Jiang Shu’s combat power at this moment has already surpassed Zhan Feng and Zhan Yun.
But after all, he had entered the Star Ruins Realm for too short a time.
He also knew too little about the major forces and various geniuses in the Star Ruins Realm.
He followed Zhan Feng’s gaze and saw a mechanical humanoid, obviously smaller and of a deeper, nearly ink-blue color than the other mechanical bodies, silently gliding over.
Its structure was exceptionally simple, without any superfluous decorations. The head was a smooth curve, also lacking facial features, with only two pin-prick-sized scarlet lights coldly locking onto the three of them.
These "eyes" instilled an instinctive sense of indifferent, non-human coldness, as if being stared at by a cold metallic viper.
"’Entropy’ is ordered to conduct a pre-tomb body status rapid scan to assess risks."
A synthesized electronic voice, equally cold as that of a Mechanical Divine Envoy, yet seemingly younger or rather more empty and raw, sounded.
The ink-blue mechanical body raised its arm, a very faint, almost undetectable dark red beam swept across the three people’s bodies in less than one-tenth of a second.
Scan complete, the ink-blue mechanical body "Entropy" said nothing further, silently turned, and disappeared at the turn of the metallic passage in that unsettling sliding manner.
"How rude, let me give it a good thrashing."
Zhan Feng couldn’t help but rub his arm, as if trying to scrub away a layer of nonexistent goosebumps.
In the cosmos, it was silent and soundless.
The course was set.
Everyone began secluded cultivation in their respective rooms, adjusting their states to the optimal level.
Uncertain how much time had passed, the star shuttle hovered at the edge of an utterly silent star domain.
This was the deepest part of the Abyssal Star Vortex.
Contrary to the imagined turbulent vortex scene, it instead presented a bizarre tranquility.
Space was extremely distorted, with light breaking and refracting within, unveiling layered, huge wrinkle-like dark shadows.
No nebula, no dust, even the glow of distant background stars was completely devoured, leaving only a dead-water-like black backdrop.
However, right at the center of this silent curtain, a distorted light spot stubbornly existed, constantly changing shape, emitting a faint but undeniable fluctuation.
Deep within that light spot was the entrance to the Saint Tomb.
Jiang Shu stood quietly in front of the circular observation window, his gaze cast towards that distorted area, frowning slightly.
Too quiet. So quiet it made one’s skin crawl.
He instinctively brushed his chest, where the bones and flesh had once been corroded by the death aura of the Ancient Demon Remnant Shadow, a faint, imperceptible cold chill seemed to be responding to something.
This seemingly terrifyingly calm starry sky harbored unimaginable terror.
It was not only the remnant power of the Saint but possibly mixed with other things bred over endless years.
Outside the star shuttle, various shapes of landing crafts were like iron parasites, clinging tightly to the star shuttle’s enormous body.
Time passed silently in this suffocating environment.
A few days later, the cabin communication sounded.
"All exploration team members, assemble on the third deck."
It was the voice of Elder Lei.
The space inside the landing craft was not large, appearing rather cramped.
Elder Lei, the Scar-faced Elder, and another elder with equally immense aura, both hair and beard white, appeared together.
Elder Lei’s gaze was like lightning, sweeping over everyone in the cabin, including Jiang Shu’s trio, several geniuses from the War Alliance’s affiliated forces, and other elite selected from various forces.
"Approaching the target point soon."
Elder Lei was succinct.
"Upon entry, Venerable Elders Lie Yang, Han Yue, and Duan Yue will directly lead the teams."
He pointed to the three people with deep auras and wearing War Alliance elder battle armor.
"Stay close to your respective teams."
He glanced again at the Scar-faced Elder and the white-bearded elder, continuing,
"I, along with Elder Tie and Elder Yun, will exert all efforts to stabilize the rift here. Remember three points for this journey!"
"One, time is limited; the space inside the tomb is still collapsing slowly, with the rift’s stable time estimated to be a maximum of half a month."
"Two, act according to your abilities; the dangers inside far exceed estimates, and no opportunity is worth your life."
"Three, should you encounter rules chaos or a space storm, immediately retreat according to the withdrawal command; delay means death!"
"Disciples of the War Alliance must unite in heart and assist each other!"
The last sentence was meant for the War Alliance members, his gaze lingering for a moment on Zhan Feng, Zhan Yun, and Jiang Shu’s faces, conveying undeniable authority.
"As you command!"
The strong from the Human Clan all bowed in compliance, then boarded the small landing crafts, ejected from the star shuttle, like a school of fish in the deep sea, swiftly heading towards the twisted darkness.
Only as they approached the center light spot did that uncomfortable sense of distortion multiply instantly, heavily pressing on everyone and their landing crafts.
Causing cracks to appear on the outer shell of the landing crafts.
Zhan Feng and the others looked grim, each tightening their grip on their weapons.
Fortunately, the landing crafts they were on were masterpieces of the Mechanical Clan, with materials, technological content, and engraved formations being top-notch in the cosmic realm. As the formations operated within, this discomfort faded away quickly.
The three landing crafts hovered before the enormous spatial wrinkle.
The cabin doors opened, and under the guidance of their respective leading elders, everyone floated laboriously towards that twisted light spot amidst weightlessness and violent turbulence.
The space power in Jiang Shu’s body quietly operated, helping him steady his figure, as he kept his eyes fixed firmly on the center of the light spot.
