"Hah, where did all that bravado go? You can't let yourself lose to a bunch of kids after all that big talk you did earlier."
I felt several pairs of eyes suddenly lock onto me the moment those words left my mouth. Alec and the others looked completely taken aback, clearly shocked by my sudden provocation of the enemy.
'What? If Eve's the one doing it, then everyone thinks it's fine? But the second I start talking, suddenly it's going too far?'
I grumbled internally.
"I'LL FUCKING KILL YOU FIRST, YOU FUCKING BRAT WITH THAT HUGE MOUTH OF YOURS!!!"
Just then, the majin completely exploded in a fit of rage— her face turned a deep shade of crimson, and as she screamed at the top of her lungs, the thick veins in her neck looked like they were about to pop. Her voice was so piercingly loud that it actually made me frown in discomfort.
SWOOSH—!!!
Without another word, she conjured and launched the biggest fireball I had ever seen directly at me!
"Hah! My mouth is normal size!"
BAM!
I kicked off the ground with all my might and jumped upward, heading straight toward her. I didn't try to dodge; instead, I rushed head-on toward the massive sphere of flames.
I raised my sword high above my head and pointed the tip of the blade directly at the incoming magic— FWIP! And as soon as the two made contact—
"[Devour]"
I muttered that under my breath.
ZWOOSH~!!!
A surge of black energy erupted from the ring on my right hand, slithering rapidly up the blade of my weapon. And once it reached the fireball; it expanded into a massive vortex that immediately swallowed the entire spell!
"Thanks for the mana."
I said calmly as I felt my nearly empty reserves being replenished by the absorbed energy, a small smile appearing on my face.
On the other hand, after the huge fireball vanished into nothingness, I saw the majin staring down at me with an expression that made it clear she viewed me as nothing more than an incredibly annoying fly.
FWIP-
I raised [Nyx] and pointed the barrel right at her, then with my lips parting—
"I still have a lot of cards under my sleeve!"
I declared that boldly before pulling the trigger.
PSH- PSH- PSH- PSH- PSH-
I fired five times in rapid succession, all my bullets tearing through the air as they sped straight toward her position.
FWISH~
The majin bit her lip in frustration and flew sharply to her left to avoid the projectiles.
Fwip-
I twisted my left hand, instantly activating [Psychokinesis]— SWISH! All the bullets abruptly changed their trajectories in mid-air and began to chase after her.
"This isn't going to work on me, I know you can only change their trajectories once or twice!"
She exclaimed loudly, trying to stay ahead of them by flying even higher into the air.
"I know, I was just trying to get you out of the way."
I said, looking up at her. I watched as the majin's expression shifted into one of pure confusion.
But just then— she realized exactly what I had meant.
BAM!
Someone came howling from the back at a terrifying speed, blurring past me and slamming hard into the wall where the majin had been hovering moments ago. A small cloud of dust was kicked up from the impact, and from within it— FWOOSH!
The person jumped back out and landed gracefully beside Alec, Curtis, and Blake.
Tap-
I also landed back on the ground beside them. I glanced at the person next to me, and she looked back at me with a nod.
"Thanks for that."
Eve said, firmly gripping her spear in her hands.
"No problem."
I replied. She had thrown her spear earlier in an attempt to stop the majin and give Curtis a chance to attack; I knew she would need to retrieve her weapon to keep fighting alongside us. Because of that, I had forced the majin to move away so Eve could get it back safely.
"..."
I looked up at the majin, who was still hovering high in the air. The look on her face was priceless... it seemed she finally realized that I had been manipulating her movements to my will once again.
I know I've mentioned it multiple times already... but she looks pissed as hell. I glanced over at the others, then opening my mouth—
"Time for another round of attack."
I said that.
SWOOSH~!
"I'll take the lead."
Then I followed as a pair of pitch-black wings grew from my back.

FWOOSH--!
Raven flew straight up, heading directly toward the majin.
The majin was momentarily flustered, as she clearly hadn't expected Raven to grow wings and follow her into the air. But, driven by her mounting fury—
"DIEEEE!!!"
SWOOOOSH—!!!
She instinctively summoned ten [Fire Lances] and launched the entire volley at Raven.
"Adelle!"
Raven shouted, and immediately following his call— WHOOSH~!
"[Water Enchant!]"
Adelle cried out, casting her spell with perfect timing.
Raven's sword was instantly engulfed in a calm but incredibly dense layer of water made of pure mana, and with a sharp motion— SLASH!
He cut through five of the [Fire Lances] in a single, fluid swing!
SWISH!
Then, he neutralized the remaining ones with another quick strike!
'It was hard before because I didn't have the right mana element to fend them off, but with Adelle and Curtis' help, this is doable.'
Raven thought to himself—FWISH!—as he arrived directly in front of the majin.
"You've been telling me to die since earlier, but look at me, I'm still alive and kicking; guess your skill is lacking, huh."
He said, looking her straight in the eye with a taunting gaze.
"GRAAAAHHHH!!!"
FWOOSH!!!
Consumed by rage, the majin simply swung her hands at Raven with a deafening roar. Her hands were coated in dark demonic energy that took the shape of razor-sharp claws— a single hit from those would be fatal for Raven.
TAAANG-!
But instead of retreating or dodging, he closed in and blocked the strike head-on.
"URGH...!"
Raven tensed his entire body, pouring all his strength into holding back the attack! While locked in that struggle, he aimed [Nyx] in his left hand straight at the majin's temple.
And at point-blank range— PSH!
Raven pulled the trigger without hesitation!
TUNK!
"KEUK!"
The majin managed to form a mana barrier around her head just in time to block the bullet, but the sheer recoil of the impact rattled her brain and caused her to lose her focus.
In that split second of vulnerability— FWISH~
Alec appeared right behind her.
SLASH!
And with a powerful downward swing, he succeeded in wounding the majin!
"GAHH!!!"
The majin groaned in agony and immediately tried to fly upward to gain some distance— SWISH!
But then, an arrow whistled just above her head. She turned toward the source and saw Aoi aiming a second shot— waiting for her to move far enough away from Raven and Alec so she could fire with a clear line of sight.
"TSK!"
With a sharp click of her tongue, the majin found she had no choice but to fly straight down toward the ground. But the moment her feet touched the floor— Tap.
"[Swift Water Sword Technique]"
SWISH!
"[Graceful Slash]"
Curtis, who had been patiently waiting for the perfect opening, swung his blade upward in a sharp, diagonal arc!
"URGH!!!"
SWOOSH~
The majin threw herself backward to avoid the lethal strike, as Curtis was the one who posed the greatest threat to her. But she failed to realize that even her retreat was being controlled, because directly behind her—
"..."
Eve was waiting, her eyes incredibly sharp and her hands tightly clenching her spear.
'Ugh, annoying brats!'
SHHHHP~
The majin grumbled in her mind, cursing everyone in the room while she desperately formed a mana barrier on her back to block Eve's incoming attack.
And that was exactly where she made her biggest mistake...
FWIP-
Eve lifted her spear in front of her as the majin closed the distance at high speed. She stared intensely at the mana barrier protecting her enemy, then squinting her eyes—
"[Defense Piercer], [Double Damage], [Pain Inflicter]"
She mumbled the words, activating all of her innate skills simultaneously!
FWOOSH-!
Then, she thrust her weapon forward with everything she had!
CRASH- TSSSHHHK—!!!
The majin's mana barrier broke into pieces, and before she could even realize what happened— PHUCK!
Eve's spear dug deep into the right side of her body and tore straight out through her stomach!
"GUUURGH?!!"
The majin doubled over in intense pain as blood immediately began to spill from her mouth.
