Chapter 448: Chapter 448: Amy.

[Edward POV]

"MAMA! PLEASE CALM DOWN! I DIDN’T CHEAT ON YOU WITH A BUSTY FOREIGNER!"

Saiki’s dad grovelled on the ground, however his angry wife raised a chair up and had a demonic expression.

With a warped demonic voice, she replied, "I’ve never said she’s busty!"

"NOOO!!!" Saiki’s dad got beat up, WWE style. Saiki and I sipped on some tea as we waited.

"Help! Help me Kusuo!" His father begged him.

Five minutes later.

"Ara-ara, so you’re Saiki’s friend from another world."

Saiki’s mom turned back into her usual demeanor, kind and cheerful. His dad was bleeding on the ground for one minute, but he was already healed the next minute.

"People heal really quickly in this world." I muttered with a raised eyebrow. "And the hair color too. This is all because of your mind control, right?"

Saiki snapped, "{I can’t be held responsible for the things I did while I was young and stupid.}"

His mind control had changed the fabric of reality in this world.

People could faint with a karate chop to the back of their head, hair grows quickly like after a day, people could lose fat through a montage, and clothes could be ripped into pieces by a stronger party.

The world was based on a gag anime after all.

"So are you staying with Ku-Chan tonight? It’s the first time Ku-Chan has friends over for a sleepover!"

"{Mom. He’s not my friend. And I don’t care where he will stay tonight. He will be fine on his own.}" Saiki said to his mother.

His mother rebuked him immediately. "Ku-chan, you need to be more empathetic to your friend. He has no home! Where would he stay tonight?"

"I can just hook up with someone and stay at their place." I replied easily.

"{Aren’t you going to go stay with your cousin? Your alternate world cousin.}" Saiki asked.

"Eh, she’s still sleeping. I’ll let her sleep for now." I replied. "She’s in a deep debt as she was in a coma for one year. The American healthcare system strikes again. I should get her a place to stay when she gets out."

Saiki said sarcastically, "{Well, have fun.}"

"Debt? How are you going to pay your cousin’s debt?" Saiki’s mom asked in a sweet, worried voice. "You don’t have anything. Any jobs or possessions."

She turned to the dad and asked, "Papa, do we have any savings?"

"We– We do Mama, but we’re keeping that for Saiki’s college fund."

"{Liar}" Saiki read his mind and found out he was saving for a limited edition robot figurine instead.

I smiled and said, "You’re really sweet Mrs Saiki. And you’re a good person. No wonder Saiki is a good person too."

"Aww." She blushed, melting slightly. "Ku-chan is always a good kid."

"{Stop flattering my mom.}" Saiki stopped me. "{My dad really wants to hit you.}"

His dad bit his lips till it bled. I laughed and opened up a portal to Amy’s ward. However, both Saiki and I widened our eyes when we saw what’s beside the portal.

"A controlled tear in the space-time continuum. Or simply put, a portal." A pale blonde Japanese man with a lab coat entered through the portal.

"Ah Kusuke!" Saiki’s mom went and hugged the man immediately.

The mad genius with an anti-mind reading device on his head smiled fakely and said, "Long time no see, Mama."

He turned to Saiki and said excitedly, "Is this your new ability? Can you still develop one?"

"{No. This is his ability.}" Saiki pointed at me.

I smiled and asked threateningly, "Why are you in my cousin’s ward?"

"Ah. Sorry about that. I detected a tear in space time therefore I went to check it out. I was developing a device to track Saiki’s teleportation coordinates. This is just one of the side effects."

"I see." I replied easily. He grinned and said, "Are you also an esper?"

"{He’s a traveller from another universe.}" Saiki interjected. "{Don’t mess with him. He’s a good guy.}"

I was slightly taken aback when I saw Saiki standing up for me. Kusuke was taken aback and disarmed his guard.

He smiled sincerely this time and said, "I’d like to study your ability sometime. Mr..."

"Newgate." I replied instinctively.

Saiki turned to me and said, "{I thought your name is Gojo Satoru?}"

"I made that name up." I stuck my tongue out slightly.

...

In the ward, the two brothers came with me to visit my cousin.

Kusuke was staying in America, he was head of a research lab here. Saiki came to make sure Kusuke didn’t bother me.

"Were you the one who released the cure for Aids?" Kusuke asked me casually.

"Yup. I need some money."

I brushed Amy’s hair while she slept and fixed up the damages it has suffered. She was lying on the bed for over a year.

Saiki furrowed his eyebrows slightly. I noticed it and asked, "What is it, Saiki-kun?"

"Your cousin. She’s cured because of you, right?" Kusuke interjected.

"Yeah." I was slightly confused.

"But the world’s on a time loop. When you go away, she will go back into a coma." Kusuke explained why Saiki looked so disturbed.

I widened my eyes in shock and turned to Saiki. "The loop... Can’t you do anything to cure her if the loop comes back?"

"{I can try. But I don’t have any healing ability. I can turn the time back on her, but since she was in a coma from a year ago, it will be hard to do that.}" Saiki replied with a slight bitterness.

I went silent for a while and asked, "Why does the time loop happen?"

Kusuke interjected and said, "It’s a supervolcano. Located in Oshimai. It has been the third time loop so far. Saiki’s still need some time to grow stronger in order to stop it."

"What if...I helped him?" I asked seriously. "I’m pretty strong too."

Kusuke smiled as if he was expecting me to say that. "Yeah, that will be a great help. We can stop the volcano before the eruption. However, to do that, we need to know how strong you are."

"How are we going to test that?" I asked, already realizing where he was going with it.

"You should fight with Saiki."

"{Don’t I have a say in this?}" Saiki said with exasperation.

"No. You do not." Kusuke said flatly.

We went to a deserted area in the US to test out my ability. Tumbleweed rolled by on our side at the barren land. I made sure no one was around to see what was going on.

"Start with your strongest one." Kusuke ordered, his eyes full of euphoric excitement. He held a scanner in his hand, wanting to get some data.

"Strongest?" I raised an eyebrow. A purple chakra skeleton emerged around me, surprising the Saiki brothers.

My susanoo grew until it reached 200 metres tall.

Kusuke breathed heavily, his pupils were swirling as he became obsessed.

Kusuo scoffed and flew 200 metres in the sky using his telekinesis. I couldn’t hear him speak, so I said, "I think the skeleton blocks your telepathy too. You need to talk."

He used sign language instead. ’Bigger doesn’t mean stronger.’

I smirked at his taunts. He also has a bloodthirsty grin on his face.

"This... might be bad." Kusuke muttered suddenly.

"Wait. Let me bring us to a mirror dimension." I muttered and used a spell. I have three of the mirror dimension prices in my storage, but I’ve never used them before.

Kusuke was shocked when he saw us disappeared.

An hour later, both of us returned to the real world.

Saiki has a broken bone, and I have blood all over me. I helped him put his control and limiter antenna back on, since he took it off while fighting me.

"It was a good thing we didn’t fight in the real world." I muttered as my body was rapidly healing itself.

Saiki turned the time back on his body, completely erasing all of his injuries.

"Aww, that’s not fair. I want to see it too." Kusuke whined.

"Alright." I activated my sharingan and sent the memories right into his brain.

"You... can breach my mind?" He was shocked.

"Well, it’s not like you have any defenses against me. Saiki’s method was waves, I’m using energy. It’s a different concept here." I said casually.

He went silent for a while and smiled emotionlessly, "You’re a dangerous man."

"So are you. But, I am going to need your help with something, so I’m going to risk it by working with you."

...

The plan for the supervolcano was settled easily. I’d open up a portal to several parts of the world, Saiki would agitate the volcano and make sure it would flow into the portals.

His first method was to throw the lavas into space, but it was quite a bad plan since the resources on the planet were limited.

The lavas created new islands nearby Japan, without even creating an earthquake.

Saiki split himself into tens of people, I duplicated myself into hundreds of people, all working together to handle the volcano in just a few hours.

For the rest of my time there, I played tennis with Hairo and Nendo, talk about fiction with Kaido, tease Teruhashi about her crush on Saiki till he got mad, and spent time with Amy to ensure she adapted quickly to the world after being in a coma for so long.

One week passed by pretty quickly. It was almost time for me to go back home.

I bought my house back from the ones who lived there, and moved Amy to my childhood home in Los Angeles.

I got the ranch back for her, built a few androids with Kusuke who has the most advanced robotic technology on the planet, and let them handle the ranch for Amy.

I also set up a couple investment funds, multiplied the 20 million I got into 80 million, and gave it all to her too. It would be enough for her to live comfortably till she died.

"Why are you giving all of your money to me?" Amy was surprised when she saw her bank account. "Are– Are you leaving me again?" Her voice choked up.

Saiki stood beside me, saying, "{I told you. You should’ve told her sooner.}"

"I am telling her right now." I grumbled back at him.

After spending some time with him, I realized he was a complete Tsundere. He’d pretend to reject your request but would secretly do it later on.

"{Oi!}"

"Amy." I sat down on the couch and called her to come near. As she sat next to me, I asked, "You did realize I’m different, right?"

She nodded slightly. "You mean, how you can...open a portal, fly, and float things around?"

"Yes. That."

Saiki looked at her with disbelief and thought, "{She saw all of that, and she’s fine with it?}"

"Well, I am from an alternate universe. I’m not the Edward you know."

She widened her eyes, and lowered her head afterward. Tears pooled into her eyes.

"So, I’m still alone? You’re going to go back now, right?"

I nodded slightly. She clenched her fist and her tears dripped onto her skirt. "What’s the point of bringing me back, if you’re going to leave me again?"

I let her process her feelings for a bit. She calmed down slightly and wiped her tears.

"So, I won’t be able to see you again?" She asked. "Can’t you bring me back with you to your universe? How’s everyone? Are they still alive there?"

"Except for Grandpa who died of old age, everyone else is safe and sound." I told her and activated my sharingan, pulling her into my mental palace.

I showed her my memories. How she became a huge actress, how Maggie was still alive, how her parents moved to California to be closer to them.

She smiled, her tears didn’t stop falling.

I wiped her eyes with a handkerchief and said, "I feel bad for you, I really do. So, I’m going to ask you something. I can’t stay, but I can leave behind a part of me."

She widened her eyes and grabbed my hand tightly.

"I want it! Please–" her voice cracked and she hugged me, "I can’t stand to be alone again."

"Alright." I opened up a portal to Kusuke’s lab. Amy was quite shocked when she saw the portal, but she didn’t ask much.

This was a gag anime world after all. The reactions of the people here were quick.

Amy saw the incubator with my clone inside. My clone is around 5 years old now in human years.

Amy placed her hand on the glass and said, "You’re... here too."

"That’s his clone. A very mature cloning technology, dare I say. The limitations of the cloned DNA are removed completely." Kusuke approached us wearing a lab coat.

He grinned and looked at Saiki menacingly.

"{If you clone me, we’re going to have a big problem.}" Saiki warned his brother.

Amy stared at the clone intently. "Can’t... Can’t you do it for all of them? Bring all of my family back?"

I shook my head and said, "Their souls have moved on. I should know, I’ve been to the Afterlife a few times. There is no ways to bring them back."

"I see." Amy said sadly. "But your clone?"

"I implanted part of my memory into him. So when he gets out, he will understand everything." I patted her shoulder to comfort her.

"Saiki will stand by if the clone turns evil or something." I joked.

Amy snorted, and a smile tugged on her lips. "So, this one... How old is he going to be when he comes out?"

"Around 22 years old. Then, he can just assume my identity so no one will be suspicious." I said casually.

Kusuke said, "The clone is already complete. He just needs time to grow. Once he’s old enough, I just need to push the red button and bring him out–"

Before he could finish, Amy pressed the red button. We were all shocked by her actions.

The liquid inside the tank was drained, and the glass door opened. The small kid rubbed his eyes and scowled.

With a childish voice, he said with annoyance, "Why is my hand so small?"

Amy put a towel around him and picked him up. She smiled and placed her cheek onto his.

"Edward, look! He’s so freaking cute! He’s just like you when we were kids."

"He is me when I was a kid." I said with confusion. "Why did you do that? The process is irreversible. He’s stuck like this now."

Amy smiled and said, "I actually love him more like this."

The clone let himself be hugged obediently. "So, am I like your kid now?" He asked Amy.

Amy nodded and said, "Yes. You will be my son. Edward and mine’s son."

"Amy, we’re cousins." I looked at her in shock.

"It’s fine. We’re not blood related." Amy replied casually. "You can go now." She shoo’ed me away.

I was in disbelief for a few minutes. Saiki snorted and laughed, "{You got thrown away.}"

"Shut up. Just be sure to take care of her, okay?" I told him and hugged him slightly.

"{Take care of yourself too, my friend.}" He said casually.

I hugged Amy, said goodbye to everyone and left the universe. It was a short vacation. Nothing really happened here.

Saiki and I bonded greatly over our situation, just like Sage said we would.

After noticing how his parents still loved him even with all of his abilities, and how he has some friends that still treated him as a normal person after they knew, I thought maybe... it wouldn’t be that bad if I told my friends.

Although, I’d probably not tell them the weird stuff. Just some surface level stuff first... to test it out.

The portal opened, and I returned to my original world.

...

In the basement laboratory. As I opened my eyes, I saw Oracle flashing a red light.

"Oh, that’s not good. I’ve been gone for a day, and there’s a DEFCON 1 signal?"

I rushed to the computer to check it out. Oracle showed me the footage from 12 hours ago.

A few UFOs attacked the major cities in the world. Well, they were attacked first. But there was some death.

One hovered above Washington, D.C., directly over the Capitol.

Another descended over Moscow, holding position above the Kremlin.

A third appeared above Beijing, centered over Zhongnanhai.

The fourth stopped above Brussels, over the EU headquarters.

The fifth hung in the sky above New York City, precisely aligned with the United Nations building.

"Wait a second." I recognized the design instantly. "These are all my ships."

A blue, three‑meter‑tall alien with six arms stepped into frame. Its surface rippled like liquid metal, eyes faceted and unblinking.

"Attention, human civilization. I am designated %$#@."

The name fractured into a burst of shrill, untranslatable sound.

"Robin." I gasped. I could recognize her anywhere.

The alien gave a speech to mankind.

"We have observed your species.

You fracture your world into competing factions. You pursue dominance as confirmation of worth. You convert discovery into weaponry faster than understanding can follow. These traits are not anomalous. They are systemic."

The creature remained perfectly still.

"Our examination concludes that, beyond your planet, your behavior would not be contained by distance. It would propagate. Conflict, once exported, does not remain local."

A brief pause.

"For this reason, your species is classified as a destabilizing variable.

You will not be permitted uncontrolled access to interstellar space."

The alien’s gaze shifted, just slightly.

"One of your pioneers has been removed. He will be returned in twelve hours. His memories will be altered and his cognitive capacity restricted to prevent premature expansion beyond your world."

Robin showed my picture to the world.

"This is not retribution. It is containment. Remain within your cradle."

The transmission ended.

"Oh fucking hell–"
