Chapter 1304: Chapter 1304: Blind Date Alliance 2
"Evelyn! What are you doing here?"
Hearing Thomas Fisher’s surprised voice, Evelyn Taylor turned her head to look in the direction of the voice, and what she saw was a face that was ugly beyond belief.
"Cough... cough... Thomas! You... cough..."
Evelyn was so shocked, the water she was drinking went down too quickly and forcefully, she choked badly and couldn’t stop coughing, making her unable to get her question out properly for a moment.
Thomas knew that Evelyn was frightened by how he looked right now, and also understood what she wanted to ask. He had questions of his own too, so he walked over and sat down in the seat opposite her.
"Sorry for scaring you." He looked at the woman sitting across from him with confusion in his eyes but an apologetic expression on his face.
"Why did you make yourself look like this?" Looking up you seem like a donkey, looking down a pig, with black moles all over your face. If she didn’t know the person in front of her was Thomas Fisher, Evelyn would have certainly jumped up in fright. As she stared at the hideous face, she suddenly realized something and widened her eyes, "Thomas! The person I’m supposed to go on a blind date with today isn’t you, is it?!"
If that’s the case, everything about his appearance makes sense.
When Thomas first saw Evelyn, he had this exact thought, but he wasn’t sure it was true. Now that she asked, he could be 100% sure of his suspicion.
"I believe so." He said while glancing at the number card on the table.
"But do you really need to look like this? You’ve practically ruined yourself." Evelyn said disapprovingly, although in her mind she couldn’t help but think she should have figured it out sooner.
Thomas smiled helplessly: "I didn’t have much choice."
If he had known the person he was going to meet was her, he wouldn’t have gone to the styling shop to make himself look like this, wasting both his time and energy.
"Are you also forced into this by your mom? You shouldn’t lack women around you, so why are you caught up in the blind date trouble?" After realizing Thomas was here for the blind date with her, Evelyn was left with questions, unable to understand why someone with no shortage of women like him would be pushed by family to go on a blind date.
Thomas looked down at his current ghastly appearance and grinned playfully: "You figured it out?"
This ghastly look was hard to miss; if the person on the blind date today was someone else, he would have successfully frightened them away.
"Anyone would notice, but looking like this won’t solve the fundamental issue. Scaring away this date doesn’t mean there won’t be another one." Said Evelyn, who felt the same way, having spent days doing similar things to mess up blind dates but continuously being pushed by her mom to go on them, otherwise she wouldn’t be here today.
Hearing Evelyn’s thoughts, Thomas suddenly perked up, "From what you’re saying, you seem really experienced in this battle, can you teach me a few tricks? I’d be endlessly grateful."
Being pressured into blind dates by his mom for days had given him headaches, but he couldn’t find a way to completely resolve the issue and was running out of ideas.
Her words made him see hope, his eyes lit up, wishing to gain some fighting experience from her.
