Chapter 1275: Chapter 1274: I Advise You to Think Twice
Theodore Holmes’s reaction and behavior today made Grant Heath very surprised and puzzled, and even quite angry. He tried his best not to be so angry; figuring out the situation was the most important thing right now.
"Lily Turner is living a very happy life now. If you genuinely care for her, you should not disturb her. If you insist on your idea, I’m certain Lily will definitely hate you." Theodore paused for a moment, then continued, "You don’t want her to hate you, do you?"
While speaking, he stared intently into the other person’s eyes.
When Grant Heath heard Theodore say that Lily would hate him, his pupils contracted sharply. Her hate was something he could not accept under any circumstances.
Over the years, he had done so much for her. He did not want to see her hating him; that was not the ultimate goal he was pursuing.
"I won’t let the day come when she hates me," Grant Heath said, meeting Theodore’s gaze fiercely, his eyes sharp and indifferent.
"Then you should not bother her or disturb her happy life." Theodore’s implication was clear: if you disrupt her life, she will undoubtedly hate you.
He was able to maintain such calm because he had just talked with Sophia Wood; otherwise, he would not have been this peaceful.
Only by staying calm can a person make decisions without being impulsive.
Two years ago, he had been impulsive once; he did not want to be impulsive again as the cost was indeed cruel.
More importantly, now it also involved the girl; he couldn’t afford to act recklessly.
"I know what you want to do seeing me today. Now, I’m confidently telling you that I will no longer do those things with you. Whether you want to continue or not, I advise you to think carefully."
Before Grant Heath could speak, Theodore Holmes continued, and after he finished, he turned and once again walked towards the shore, this time walking with determination and decisiveness.
Watching the figure striding towards the shore, Grant Heath furrowed his brow tightly; this man wasn’t brainwashed; he was just totally out of his mind.
Easton Holmes! What kind of magic do you have? Why does she love you so deeply and hopelessly?
Grant Heath turned to face the sea, cupped his hands around his mouth, and shouted towards the ocean, "Ah..."
With this shout, he expressed the depression in his heart, the resentment he had bottled up for over two years.
Hearing Grant Heath’s shout from behind, Theodore Holmes instinctively stopped and glanced back but didn’t linger much. He took one look at the man shouting by the sea and then turned back to continue striding towards the shore.
Upon reaching the shore, he did not pause for a moment but drove away.
On the way back, Theodore Holmes’s mind was preoccupied with the words Grant Heath had just said to him; the more he thought about it, the more uneasy and worried he felt.
Squeak!
He pulled over to the side of the road, and after stopping the car, he took out his phone from his pocket.
But as he took out his phone, he hesitated for a moment, staring blankly at it for a long time, before taking a deep breath and deciding to make the call.
Theodore made this call to his father, Fabian Holmes. He couldn’t bring himself to call Easton directly, unable to lower his prideful head.
"Theodore! What’s up?" After a few rings, Fabian Holmes answered the call on the other end.
