Chapter 1213: Chapter 1213: Shameless
Before Serena Zimmerman walked over, Easton Holmes got up and walked towards her. As they met, he reached out and took the fruit plate she was holding.
"Auntie! You could have just asked me to get it, you didn’t have to bring it over yourself."
"Got it, I’ll disappear right away and won’t be the third wheel here."
Serena knew Easton didn’t mean it that way, but she still said it with a smile. She glanced at him, then at Lily Turner sitting on the sofa, before turning to leave the living room.
Easton glanced at Serena as she left the room, then walked over to Lily with the fruit plate. As soon as he sat down next to her, she playfully slapped his arm, "You’re really not good at taking compliments, I just said you know how to talk, and now you... "
He used a fork to pick up a piece of apple and stuffed it into her mouth, cutting off her words.
"Your mouth isn’t just for talking, remember to eat as well, and more importantly..." Easton suddenly leaned over and whispered in Lily’s ear, "also remember to kiss me."
Taking advantage of her being unable to protest with her mouth full, he leaned in and kissed her.
With her mouth occupied, Lily’s hands were free, and she pushed away the man who was nibbling on her cheek. To prevent him from returning, she kept pushing against his head.
She quickly chewed and swallowed the apple, freeing her mouth. She immediately turned to face the man beside her, "Stop kissing me like that, or I’ll really get mad."
She pointed at him, took the fruit plate from his hand, and moved aside to sit elsewhere.
Easton didn’t get up to follow her but sat quietly watching Lily. Watching her eat was a form of visual enjoyment for him.
"Why are you staring at me? If you want to eat, come over and eat. Are you waiting for me to serve you?" Being watched by him while eating made her feel uncomfortable, so she tilted her head to invite him to join her, sparing him from having nothing to do.
"Of course, it’d be great if you brought it over. Come on, come into my arms." Easton patted his chest and opened his arms waiting for Lily to throw herself into them. However, what he got was a roll of her eyes.
This didn’t anger or upset him at all; his lips curled upwards, clearly very happy at being given the eye roll.
Seeing this, Lily scoffed, "Shameless!"
When offered fruit, he thought it was about her.
"What’s to be ashamed of hugging my wife? If you won’t come to me, I’ll come to you." Easton got up and moved to sit beside Lily but didn’t put his arm around her, not wanting to interrupt her meal.
With him behaving well and not acting flirtatiously, Lily felt relieved. She used a fork to pick up a piece of kiwi and fed it to his mouth, "Honey! Open up!"
The man dislikes kiwi, and Lily was doing this on purpose.
Easton frowned at the kiwi near his mouth, but opened up and took it in. As soon as the kiwi hit his tongue, he was overwhelmed by the sourness, "Why is it so sour?"
He knew kiwis can be sour, but this was too sour!
Unable to tolerate the tang, he leaned over, grabbed a paper towel from the box on the table, and spit the kiwi out.
"Sorry, honey! Quickly have a piece of apple to balance it out." Lily’s innocent act was convincing as she picked up a piece of apple and fed it to Easton.
