Chapter 278: Interstellar / 2.13 : Messing with him
Kian decided to go back to his quarters after breakfast. He wants to rest until the afternoon’s meeting. Kian waved to Xiaoshu and entered his quarters. He closed the door and walked to his bed.
He turned around when he heard the door being locked. Kian smiled but stopped when Shaotian turned around. He was wearing the same holo mask as the one in the cave.
He asked coldly:
"What are you doing here?"
Shaotian felt his heartbeat quicken. Kian is angry, he probably thinks he decided not to come to see him. He took a step forward, but Kian took a step backward.
Shaotian stayed in place and said:
"I’m sorry I missed our date. I couldn’t beam in the cave."
Kian crossed his arms. Shaotian could tell he didn’t believe him.
"I swear I tried to, but it wouldn’t work. I beamed in front of the cave, but when I tried to enter it, I hit your field."
Shaotian relaxed a little when he saw that he believed him.
"I’m sorry."
"Don’t be. You not showing up, allowed me to think."
Shaotian asked tensely:
"About what?"
Kian answered:
"About how this is nothing more than sex to you. I want to be in a real relationship, and it will never happen with you. So, we shouldn’t see each other again."
Shaotian felt stunned and worried. Kian can’t end things with him when he still hasn’t convinced him to forgive him.
He held his hand and said:
"I swear this isn’t just sex for me. Before you, I’d never had feelings for anyone. All I ever cared about was the military. You’re the first person who’s ever made me feel."
Kian felt his heartbeat quicken. He knows that Shaotian is being honest. But he can’t help but think about his reaction when they met. Shaotian was angry at him because he had feelings for him.
Then does that mean he hates that he does? Plus, instead of being honest, he hid. It gives Shaotian an out, since to him Kian doesn’t know his identity. So what if, even if he has feelings for him, he doesn’t want a real relationship?

Kian nodded.
Shaotian smiled and kissed him. Kian circled his neck and kissed him back. The kiss was sweet and tender. Neither wanted to break it. So, they just stood there, kissing for a few minutes.
Kian finally pulled back and asked:
"Did you watch me?"
"Of course, you were spectacular. I don’t doubt you’ll take first place."
Shaotian has already seen the result, Kian is first. It allows him to get closer to him while he trains him.
When Kian’s smile faded, he asked:
"What’s wrong?"
"Even if I want to be first, the thought of Shaotian teaching me is annoying."
Shaotian frowned.
"I thought you wanted him to teach you?"
"I do, but only because he is the best in the galaxy."
Shaotian asked:
"What about what you said in the cave? You said you wanted to get along."

Shaotian held his face and said:
"Please say it."
Kian felt his heart clench, seeing how much Shaotian needed to hear it.
"I’m not in love with Tan."
Shaotian relaxed, seeing that he was being honest.
He can’t believe how despicable Tan is. Shaotian is not the type to get angry, but seeing him trying to humiliate Kian infuriated him. He’s glad Xiaoshu has his back. He also saw Minglan asking questions about him.
He doesn’t understand why. The two of them are strangers. They never speak to each other, he was clear that he would never develop feelings for her. But she acts around people as though they have a close relationship, and she knows him.
Shaotian does have dinners with her and her father, but even during that time, they don’t speak. Everyone knows that all he cares about is his army. At least until he met Kian. Shaogian pulled Kian into his embrace and hugged him.
Kian hugged him back with a smile. Shaotian said:
"I missed you so much, Bunny."
"Me too, Gege."
Shaotian pulled back with a smile. He asked:
"Were you going to sleep?"
Kian nodded.
Shaotian pulled him to the bed and covered them. He held him in his embrace and they closed their eyes. Kian woke up when an alarm rang on the ship. He looked next to him and saw that Gege had already left.
He stood up and went to freshen up. The meeting is in ten minutes. Kian changed his clothes quickly and went to get Xiaoshu. Just before he could knock, he opened the door. Kian smiled and he smiled back.
They took a seat in the front row of the briefing room. Everyone was talking excitedly, guessing their spot in the ranking. Multiple recruits circled Kian and Xiaoshu to talk. Tan looked at them with dark eyes.
Before the trial, he was the one surrounded by everyone. But now it’s like the world is upside-down. He’s seen how everyone worships Kian. He saw all the clips that were trending. It was Kian killing neran-nes, helping Fugeng how to kill them, and giving food to starving recruits.
Everyone sees him as a god. He was indeed shocked when he saw how powerful he was. Kian has always been weaker than him, but he somehow became better. He even changed into someone who is extraverted.
Tan worked too hard to let Kian steal his dream and break the barriers he was planning on taking down, for all omegas. If Kian takes first place, he’ll lose his mind. Just not in front of the cameras. People already believe he is a bad friend to Kian.
The weird thing is that despite Kian being powerful, they all see him as a sweet and timid omega. They feel protective of him. Tan looked at Minglan and saw that she was staring at Kian too.
She didn’t look pleased. He saw a clip of her asking if Kian made up with Shaotian. She seemed suspicious of their relationship. To be fair, she’s worried about anyone who approaches Shaotian.
Well, whether she likes it or not, he’ll become his. Tan looked away when Minglan looked at him. Minglan sneered and resumed looking at Kian. She didn’t have time to watch much, but from what she saw the first place is between her and Kian.
She obviously saw with her own eyes how powerful he is, but she hoped someone else was stronger. Minglan can’t believe that omega is the second-strongest recruit. Even if Xiaoshu is powerful too, it can’t be compared to Kian.
When she arrived at the ship, she checked her terminal and saw that she received a ton of angry messages from her father. He’s the general commander of the army, so of course he didn’t expect his daughter to be saved by an omega. If she doesn’t take first place, he’ll kill her. Right after she kills Kian of course.
