Chapter 262: Heretic / 1.23 : Blessed by the Wicca goddess
Cayus entered the council room and looked around. There was a large table in the middle. On one side were the vampires and the other witches, part of the council.
There was a large chair in the middle of each side, Kian and the king were sitting on it. Cayus took a seat on Kian’s left and Serena on his right. Once everyone was there, the door was closed.
An assistant gave multiple copies of the new accord to everyone, and Kian explained:
"I decided to write a new agreement. It’s beneficial to both sides. If king Magnus agrees, the only thing left is to sign it."
The vampire who had read it at the speed of light looked at Kian stunned. The price of Sanguin was cut down by 40%. It will be affordable for everyone. Magnus said:
"I agree with your new terms."
Kian smiled and pushed the official contract toward him. Magnus took it and was about to sign when Cayus yelled:
"Wait!"
He’ll let them make this official over his dead body! Elian smiled. As Elian told them, they took the marriage agreement off, but the craziest is the new price of Sanguin. If they make Sanguin this cheap, they’ll be losing money.
He’s not going to let Kian destroy the company before he dies. He needs the marriage agreement to be in writing, in case Elian tries to back out of it. And most importantly, he needs to make him see reason.
Cayus looked at Kian and said:
"Leader, the company will be hemorrhaging money if we price Sanguin this low."
"It’s fine."
Seeing how little he cared, the council of witches became angry. From the contract, they read, it’s clear that Kian is favoring the vampires. Just because he’ll die soon, doesn’t mean he should screw them before.
As soon as the contract is signed, it’s magically biding. If one side doesn’t follow it, they’ll die horribly. There’s no going back once both sides have signed.
"Leader, with all due respect, it’s not okay. The company will take a massive loss."
Kian looked at Cain, he is a council member. Just because his mother offered all the witches on the council shares in the company, doesn’t mean their voices count. It’s the same when it comes to his decision as the leader of the witches.
Kian said:
"At most, the company will lose 1 to 2 million each year. It’s nothing compared to the yearly income."
The company makes around 200 to 300 million each year, that’s why he was never going to let vampires pay as much as they do for Sanguin. That way witches don’t have to pay as much as well for witchcraft and everyone is happy.
Everyone, except the greedy council members, who can’t wait for him to die. Cayus said:
"Why should our side lose money when they don’t? Even with their new prices, the vampires don’t lose money, we’re the only one who does."
Kian almost laughed. That’s what his uncle did to live longer in the OG TL. But since this time he gains nothing from it, he’s not on board. Furthermore, he doesn’t want witches and vampires to think he is weak once he dies.
That man is pathetic. King Magnus said:
"As the new agreement stipulates, we’ll pay 50℅ of those losses."
Cain said:
"You should pay all the losses and more, when only your people gain from this."
Magnus never acknowledged him, it was as though Cain wasn’t good enough to even be looked at. Cain looked at him furiously than at Kian. He became angrier when he saw that Kian was amused.
When he heard vampires laughing, his hands tightened into fists. Cain said:
"Leader Kian, you should put your people first. Not bloodsuckers."
Kian looked at him and asked:
"Are you calling me a bloodsucker?"
Cain explained:
"No, what I mean is that you should show loyalty to your people. We already elaborated on the agreement, yet you changed it without consulting us. I think that now that you’re close to the end, your brain isn’t working as well as it should, or you would’ve never done that. You’re not the same as you were before."
Lucian’s eyes darkened, he looked at Kian and relaxed. Kian narrowed his eyes and waved his hand. Cain was thrown forcibly against the wall. Once his body hit the wall, he screamed in agony and fell pathetically.
Kian said as he stood up and walked to him:
"You’re right, witches are my people, but so are vampires. Or have you forgotten that I’m a heretic? And I’m not close to the end, if anything I’ll be alive a long time after you die."
When Kian released the extent of his power, everyone looked at him wide-eyed except Lucian. The amount of power was intoxicating, they felt the need to bow to him. When they found it hard to breathe, the power faded.
Kian looked at Cain who had blood at the corner of his mouth, he was looking at him in fear.
"Does it look like I’m not as I was before?"
"No leader. Please forgive this servant."
Kian wrapped his hand around Cain’s neck with a dark smile. He has to pay as well for the role he played. He knew all along what his family was planning, including his mother’s assassination, yet he said nothing for money.
Kian said:
"I’m a heretic, the most powerful being in the world. I was personally blessed by the Wicca goddess and the god of death and bloodlust. Do you believe I can lose my mind or be taken down?"
Cain wanted to answer no, but he couldn’t breathe. He shook his head as tears ran down his cheeks. All the council members wanted to say something, but didn’t dare. They never thought the sweet Kian could be this scary.
Kian let go of him with disdain and waved his hand. Cain immediately disappeared, but everyone could hear him scream. Once Kian was sure they had heard enough, he made a fist with his hand and the scream disappeared.
He took back his seat and looked at the other council member.
"Does anyone else has something to say before King Magnus signs the new agreement?"
Kian was talking the same way he always had, it was as though he wasn’t indirectly threatening them. Cayus asked:
"Where is member Cain? Where did his screams come from?"
Kian said like he was talking about something uninteresting:
"I sent him inside an active volcano. He’ll be spending the next 200 years burning until he dies."
All the vampires smiled, while the witches blanched. Serena felt like she was looking at a stranger. She was about to ask him to restore the marriage agreement, but she would rather not burn like Cain is!
Kian raised an eyebrow.
"Cayus, do you have something to say before we sign the new agreement and end this meeting?"
When Cayus shook his head, Elian smiled. How is it possible that he loves Kian more now than he did before? He didn’t think he had it in him to do something so evil. Even if he watched his aunt die, she treated him horribly.
But that council member only insulted him, yet he went to this extreme. He wants to be by his side so the two of them can rule the world, and do whatever they want. Evil Kian is spectacular.
Elian was surprised when Kian looked at him. When Kian smiled at him gently, his heartbeat quickened, and he couldn’t stop himself from smiling back. He thought he could, but he can’t let him go.
He’ll just kill Lucian and make him his. He’ll deal with Serena and Cayus so they can both live in peace. He has to be his.
Kian looked at the king, and he signed the agreement. He gave the paper to Kian, and he signed it. They both stood up and shook hands. Magnus smiled and Kian smiled back. Kian looked at Lucian and saw that he was smiling as well.
He felt his heartbeat quicken, looking at his cute face. He’s glad he’ll be done with the mission tomorrow, that way he’ll be able to just be happy with him. Although they haven’t discussed the specifics, which makes him nervous.
They’re both leaders, and it will be difficult to see each other every day. Especially when they live far from each other. He can indeed use portals, but it makes him feel like the relationship isn’t serious.
He doesn’t want to appear and disappear constantly. Lucian said he wants to marry him, so maybe they can move in together.
It’s too soon, but then again, they were originally supposed to wed when they had never met. He’ll talk to him tonight, to see where he stands.
