Chapter 208: ABO / 5.19 : Ending

When Cael was gone Eden looked at Atlas. He was looking at his stomach with worry and he immediately knew why he wanted to meet. He smiled.

"Congratulation."

Atlas met Eden’s eyes. He isn’t surprised Eden found out he is super smart, he always thought he was smarter than everyone but it’s actually true when it comes to Eden.

He murmured:

"Thank you."

Eden tilted his head.

"Aren’t you happy?"

Atlas swallowed and said:

"I’ve never felt happier than I did since this whole nightmare started. In the previous universe, I realized that I don’t want to run from my feelings anymore no matter how intense they get. I don’t want to be without Er-Ge but in this universe, he had a difficult childhood and had a child through abuse so he doesn’t want another one. You’ve looked into my mind it’s already hard enough to go through a pregnancy and it’ll only be harder without him by my side."

Eden took a step forward and said:

"You’re mixing two things that are separate."

"What do you mean?"

Eden said:

"You’re fearful of being pregnant because of what happened before but you aren’t in that cycle of pain anymore. You have the power and that power didn’t it allow you to fall in love and live wonderful lives?"

Atlas nodded. Indeed, he never thought that life could be this fulfilling before he was free. He didn’t even think that in his last life when he had money and freedom to do whatever he wants.

Atlas answered:

"It did."

"Just like it will allow you to give birth to a healthy and beautiful baby and raise him."

Atlas looked down and a few tears ran down his face. Eden is right, there is nothing to be scared of everything will be all right. When he received a new program on Versem he opened it and looked at it stunned.

It was a thorough application that had every information regarding the state of his pregnancy. He checked and saw that with it he’ll be able to monitor it closely without being worried 24/7.

He looked at Eden. Eden said:

"I miscarried once and even when I was pregnant again I felt this crippling fear that it might happen again so I created this app to put my mind at ease. I know that it will help you. You’ll receive notifications if something looks abnormal. Trust me with it your pregnancy will go smoothly."

Atlas’s eyes moistened and he felt the need to hug Eden. He has no idea what he just did for him. He murmured as tears ran down his face:

"Thank you this is the best thing anyone has ever given me."

Eden smiled.

"I told you I have your back."

"I know."

Atlas feels a little guilty for being so suspicious and skeptical when it comes to Eden. He’s always had his back and he would be there anytime he would call him and in a heartbeat as he said.

Eden said:

"I believe that you’re wrong when it comes to your Er-Ge. Hasn’t he followed you from universe to universe? Do you really think he wouldn’t be over the moon to have a child with you? You should give him more credit and give him a chance instead of making a final judgment based on an assumption."

Atlas looked at Eden. Right again, he’ll talk to Er-Ge when he is ready and see if he’s okay with it. Even if he isn’t he’d have no regret because he would have given him a chance.

He smiled at Eden.

"I will you’re right I shouldn’t make a snap judgment."

Eden smiled.

"Trust me you won’t regret it."

"Thank you for taking the time."

Eden smiled gently.

"Of course If you need me during the pregnancy feel free to call okay?"

Atlas nodded with a smile.

"I should go before Jacob and Damian notice how long it’s been."

Atlas blinked and he was in the bathroom but he was surprised to see Eden in front of him. Eden pulled him in his arms and he hugged him back with a smile.

*Don’t forget to call if needed.*

*I won’t.*

Eden pulled back and disappeared. Atlas couldn’t stop himself from smiling, he feels much better now that he’s spoken to Eden. He never believed people like him existed before, he’s incredibly sweet.

He grinned as he looked at the app Eden has given him. With it, it’s like having your very own ob-gyn with you at all times. He opened the door and went back downstairs.

He took back his seat and said:

"Sorry I was so long."

"It’s okay. Is everything alright with your lawyer?"

Atlas answered Damian:

"It is. What were you guys talking about?"

Jacob said:

"The launch party."

Atlas nodded and they discussed the details of it before going to work.

Elwyn knocked on his father’s office door and then entered. He took a seat in front of the desk and asked:

"Father, what are we to do now?"

Ludek sighed and said:

"Speak to Jacob when you meet and If he doesn’t help I’ll speak to Damian."

Elwyn said with confidence:

"Of course Jacob will help he loves me."

"He might love you but Damian loves Atlas and he’s the one in charge."

Elwyn felt like he had been slapped. He hates how Atlas managed to seduce Damian, it’s like he did it on purpose. He asked:

"Do you think Atlas will sell his latest project to Cian Cube?"

Ludek said:

"I’m sure he will."

Elwyn cursed inwardly. He never believed things would go that far. Their only solution is to get Jacob’s help. He promised:

"I promise I will fix this father."

Ludek sighed again and said:

"It isn’t your mess to fix."

Ludek is starting to have doubts. He saw the video surveillance of Atlas going back to his office and dropping the proof that he never used company funds for his latest project.

He looked heartbroken and he couldn’t stop crying. Before that day he had never seen Atlas cry but he did twice.

He looked genuinely heartbroken and the look in his eyes when he looked one last time at his office before leaving was that of someone who’s been betrayed.

All Atlas has ever cared about is creating games and sharing them with the world so even the idea of him creating a virus is hard to believe now that he thinks about it.

Before all of this happened Atlas’ relationship with him and Mircea was even better than when Elwyn came home. That’s why it hurt, even more, they couldn’t understand how he could go that far.

Mircea was heartbroken and he spent the night crying. Even if they both know how valuable Atlas is it doesn’t change the fact that they love him. They’ve raised him of course they have feelings for him. Maybe he should have this investigated.

Ludek focused when Elwyn called:

"Father?"

He looked up.

"I was saying I have to go or I’ll be late."

"Okay let me know how it went when it’s over."

At this point their only hope is Jacob and he believes his son will convince him.

Elwyn nodded and left.

He got in the car and looked out the window on the way to the coffee shop. His only way out is Jacob and he won’t give up until he fixes all of this for him. He got out of the car and entered the coffee shop.

He was led to the private room and was surprised to see that Jacob was already there. He smiled and closed the door behind him. It seems like he couldn’t wait to see him.

He took a seat next to him and leaned in to kiss him. Jacob kissed him back but his eyes were opened. It seemed like he was trying to find out something as he kissed Elwyn.

Jacob pulled back and looked into those eyes he loved to look into. He did a lot of bad things for this person, he knows that he wasn’t forced and that he did them willingly but it isn’t who he is.

He believed every word out of his mouth when he said that Atlas was undermining him and that he was trying everything to get him out of the family and company.

It’s only after he thought about things from Atlas’s point of view that he realized that the antagonist has been Elwyn all along. The fact that he even managed to get his hands on the marriage contract and find the loophole is proof enough.

Like his father said he already made up his mind he just didn’t want to admit it to himself. He foolishly believed that Elwyn made his life better and that he didn’t need his father or anyone as long as he was there but that wasn’t true.

Right now he is happier than he’s ever been because he and his father are close and because he can see how happy Atlas makes him. The only thing that bothers him is Elwyn so he’ll end it today and never have to see him again.
