Chapter 151: Celebrity / 2.17 : Trust
Atlas quickly glanced at Shuyuan and then looked away uncomfortable. Shuyuan asked:
"I was waiting for you why didn’t you come?"
Atlas didn’t answer he looked down.
Shuyuan pulled him on his lap so he was straddling him. Atlas’ cheek reddened and he kept looking in the distance. Shuyuan asked:
"Do you trust me so little?"
Hearing the hurt in his voice Atlas looked at him. He can’t help it, after that night he felt more vulnerable than he ever did. Not because he cried but because at no point did he feel unsure about feeling the way he did in front of Shuyuan.
No one’s ever made him feel this safe before and it’s scary. When he entered this universe he wasn’t in love with Er-Ge anymore he had moved on, he indeed missed him but it was just memories to him.
He fell in love with Shuyuan as he did with Yixin but this time it was faster so he felt comfortable faster too. Even if they are the same soul they are different. What is it going to be next time? He’ll fall for him in a matter of minutes?
Their relationship is intense and he never minded but he feels like it’s bound to get him in trouble at some point. He doesn’t know who the real Er-Ge is so he should still stay cautious but then he thinks that since he plans on dying in the end he should just go all in.
He reached out and caressed Shuyuan’s cheek, he looked into his lovely grey eyes and cursed. He’ll just feel whatever he does and deal with the repercussions later. He murmured:
"I do trust you."
Shuyuan relaxed a little and asked:
"Then why would you ignore me?"
Atlas swallowed and said:
"I’ve never trusted anyone as I trust you, it’s a little overwhelming."
Shuyuan nodded understandingly.
"I comprehend because I feel the same. The second we kissed I knew that I wouldn’t stop until you felt the same way I did."
"Why?"
"Because when we did I felt this deep longing for you as though I’ve been searching for you for years and I had finally found you."
Atlas looked at him teary-eyed and asked:
"How do you feel about me?"
Shuyuan held onto his waist tighter and confessed:
"I’m in love with you Atlas. I’ve never loved anyone but you."
Atlas looked at him emotionally and confessed:
"I love you too Er-Ge."
Shuyuan’s heartbeat quickened and his nerves disappeared.
"You do?"
Atlas smiled and circled his neck.
"Of course I do my love, you’re my soulmate."
Shuyuan swallowed and looked down. Atlas lifted his head and saw that he was close to tears. He kissed his beautiful grey eyes.
Shuyuan said:
"And you’re mine. I swear I’ll never leave you."
Atlas smiled and kissed him tenderly. Shuyuan kissed him back happier than he’s ever been.
He pulled back and asked:
"Are you feeling better?"
Atlas said:
"I am, it’s my fault I hoped when I knew full well why Sicheng approached me in the first place."
Shuyuan asked:
"When did you find out the identity of your parents?"
"Just before I went to the hospital after the concert."
Shuyuan said:
"Just so you know Sicheng had given up on asking you to give your kidney to save Yinglun. He was going to ask you if you would accept to become his son after dinner and sign adoption papers to make it official."
Atlas looked at Shuyuan stunned and checked Versem. His heavy hurt became light as a feather when he saw that it was the truth. Even if Sicheng didn’t know he was his son he felt their bond, blood is thicker than water. He looked down.
Shuyuan said:
"I don’t doubt in my heart that he loves you more than he’s ever loved anyone. The fact that he gave up saving Yinglun with your kidney is proof of it. He knew the risk and he didn’t want to lose you. I’ve known Sicheng since I was a kid and he is my godfather. I’m telling you this because I know him better than anyone. Just take a few days to think things through, I don’t want you to regret in the end not having a relationship with him. Don’t forget that Yinglun is responsible for this mess in the first place for keeping the fact that he had a son secret."
Atlas looked up.
"I know she never told him and I plan on dealing with her just after I’m done with Yishang and Dawei."
Shuyuan asked:
"If you plan on dealing with them why did you lend them money?"
Atlas answered with a malicious smile:
"That’s just part of the plan Yishang is just too stupid to see that."
Shuyuan smiled, he is so happy Atlas isn’t letting them get away after everything they’ve done to him, they deserve to die.
He kissed Atlas and said:
"If you need my help tell me."
Atlas asked even if he knew the answer:
"You would help me destroy them?"
"Of course beloved."
Atlas smiled gently, Er-Ge is the kind of person who fights the Bataille of the person he loves. That’s what big bosses do. They fall in love and get revenge for the person they love using their might and power. He smiled wider when he thought about the fact that Shuyuan called him beloved.
In the previous universe, they lived in a futuristic era but Er-Ge still called him beloved which was surprising since it’s rare to hear people say that even in a modern era. But he likes it when he calls him that, he founds it cute.
Shuyuan looked at Atlas’s smile and his heartbeat quickened, he never met someone as beautiful as him. He hugged him like he was scared he might lose him. Atlas caressed his nape reassuringly, this isn’t the first time he feels this fear from Er-Ge.
Even in the previous universe, he noticed it, and the only way it left him was when he promised that he wouldn’t leave him. Atlas pulled back and held his face.
He swore:
"I’ll never leave you my love I promise."
Hearing that Shuyuan knew that he wouldn’t.
"I’ll never leave you too."
Atlas smiled and kissed him.
Xinyu’s manager ran to her dressing room when he heard a scream. He opened the door and saw that she was staring at her cellphone with tears in her eyes in shock.
He grabbed his cellphone to check to see what kind of mess he had to clean up. When he saw what it was he knew that he would never be able to. She was trending on most platforms after it was released that she only dated Atlas for his fame.
If that wasn’t bad enough someone wrote an expose where they showed all the checks her parents gave directors and producers so she would be in their movie or show when she always stated that she never used her parent’s money or fame to get cast.
Everyone thinks of her as China’s sweetheart and once the documentary about her life was released they all loved her even more. They thought that she was amazing for not using her parent’s power and money and believed she earned every role she ever got.
But now it’s clear that it was all lies. The manager cursed.
"Fuck!"
If XInyu was at least dating Atlas it would help her reputation but she isn’t.
He closed the door and said:
"You need to speak to Atlas, if you two date it will salvage your reputation a little. You’ve seen how everyone worships him and especially since the show has been airing."
Xinyu wiped her tears and said:
"You’ve seen the video he believes I was with him for fame."
"Even if that’s the case he still loves you, you’ve seen how he’s been treating you since the beginning of the shoot."
XInyu took a breath and nodded.
