Chapter 139: Celebrity / 2.5 : Determined
Atlas woke up determined. After taking a shower and eating he left for the cast meeting.
Dawei entered the room and felt his heartbeat quicken in excitement. He can’t believe he is playing a recurring character in a tv show and one of the most sold books of all time. When he saw Shuyuan sitting on the directors and authors’ left he smiled.
He can’t believe he’ll be playing opposite his crush. He’s been in love with him for so long already and the fact that he’ll be playing his love interest is amazing. They even have scenes where they kiss. When he saw the script he couldn’t stop himself from screaming in happiness.
He looked at the table full of famous actors and lifted his head high so they would know he is the same as them. When he saw that the chair in front of Shuyuan was empty he went to seat there but before he could seat Yawen the author said:
"This seat is reserved for the other lead."
Dawei smiled gently and said:
"Sorry."
Yawen smiled.
"It’s okay you can sit next to it."
Even if he won’t be in front of Shuyuan at least he’ll be close. Besides, it will be a good way to get close to the other lead of the show.
He needs to use this opportunity to be seen with as many famous actors as possible. People have to believe they’re close.
When someone entered the room and people gasped he turned around to see who it was and looked at Atlas wide-eyed. Atlas smiled apologetically at the director and Yawen and said:
"Hello, sorry I’m late there were a lot of fans and photographers at the entry."
The director said:
"I’m sorry Atlas I didn’t think about it, next time I’ll have railing and security."
Atlas smiled.
"It’s okay. Where should I seat?"
Yawen said:
"Here we left you a seat."
Atlas took a seat and said:
"Thank you."
Atlas looked around the table and said:
"Hello."
Everyone said hello to him and they all asked how he was doing. They all know what he’s been through and like his fans, they feel protective, plus most of them are older than him. Atlas looked at Xinyu with a smile, everyone could feel her excitement as she smiled back.
Atlas looked at Dawei who was sitting next to him surprised and said:
"Hey, I didn’t know you auditioned too. Didn’t you say that you would never be caught acting in a tv show?"
Dawei who had been in shock this whole time woke up and said with a smile:
"The way you spoke about it made me change my mind."
Atlas smiled.
"Good I’m glad."
Despite Dawei saying that Atlas convinced him they all felt like he looked down on tv show actors. He could feel the shift and he looked at Atlas to see if he had done that maliciously.
When he saw him looking at the papers in front of him he knew that he was still the stupid and naive Atlas. He looked at the paper thinking about a way to destroy him for good.
Not only did he release a new song yesterday night but he got the lead role in the Emperor’s Prisoner. He was happy to be able to say he took the role Atlas wanted but he has an even better role. He won’t rest until the only thing left of him is his ashes.
Atlas looked up and gazed at Shuyuan. He was checking the papers too, when he felt Atlas’ eyes on him he looked up. Atlas bit his lips and looked at him sorry but Shuyuan didn’t seem touched. He looked back with his usual coldness. When Atlas looked down pouting Shuyuan forced himself not to smile.
At least now he knows that Atlas regrets his behavior. He can’t explain why but it hurt him, he isn’t a sentimental person but when he saw how upset Atlas was yesterday he felt his heart clench like he was in pain. But Atlas pushed him away and told him not to speak or look at him unless they are shooting.
Atlas was very upset so that’s maybe why he lashed out. Now that he’s seen he’s sorry he won’t hold it against him but he won’t say anything either. He wants Atlas to keep coming to him and make the first steps. He wants to see how far he’ll go to earn his forgiveness. It will for sure make shooting the show more fun.
After the director and author gave the filming schedule and the information they all left to get changed for the photoshoot. Atlas sat on his chair using his phone as the hairdresser styled his hair.
He looked at the video he had posted last night and saw that it was trending. He isn’t surprised. He leaned back on his chair and closed his eyes thinking.
He keeps wondering how Er-Ge managed to follow him. Is it possible that he is a Whitlock like Cael? If he is then he might follow him until he has enough power to free himself. Although his problem is that once he is free he isn’t sure he’ll want to live for eternity. He sighed, he’ll focus on right now then he’ll see.
Speaking of which he needs to find a way to meet his dear mother Yinglun. He opened his eyes and his eyes sparkled when he thought of a way. The best way to make his mother pay is to let her suffer every day until she dies.
He wishes Sicheng wasn’t at her side but that man is stupidly in love with her when she is the most despicable and selfish person in the world.
He’ll make sure he founds out the truth and if he still wants to be with her after Atlas will buy his contract from Zhao Agency and stay away. For now, he just wants to do what he wants. The first person he’s going to deal with is Yishang and he’ll do it tonight. When he’s done with that bitch she’ll kneel to him.
When Atlas was done he looked at himself in the mirror. He looked so beautiful that everyone in the room was speechless. Atlas looked like the Yellow deity. He looked as divine as an immortal. He was wearing red robes with gold flowers and his long hair was draped on his back.
His crown was golden matching the stones on his red belt. He seemed to descend to the mortal realm just so they can feast on his beauty. He looked so sensual and seductive.
It was impossible not to fall in love with him. Atlas walked to the set and everyone looked at him. He ignored them and took his place with the cast.
Yawen pulled out his cellphones taking pictures. He hugged him tightly and said:
"I can’t believe I’m looking at Li Yu."
Atlas smiled. He followed the director’s instructions as they started with the entire cast’ photoshoot. When they were done he focused on the couple’s pictures and Atlas sat at the side waiting for his turn.
Atlas looked at Dawei and Shuyuan posing close together expressionlessly. If Er-Ge thinks he’ll let him get close to anyone he’s got another thing coming.
He’ll just do what Eden said he did, he’ll make him fall in love with him then he’ll punish him. Although it might be fun to drive Shuyuan insane with need. Atlas’ eyes flashed in excitement.
He knows how shameless Er-Ge is so he’ll just play dumb and let him think he has the upper hand. When Atlas’s name was called he stood up and walked to set.
They brought a throne and the photographer ordered:
"Shuyuan have a seat and Atlas sit on his lap."
They followed his direction and Atlas looked at the photographer for more instructions.
He said:
"First look into each other’s eyes, Atlas you need to be seductive."
Atlas moved closer to Shuyuan and he held onto his waist. Atlas put a hand on his chest and smiled sensually. When he felt Shuyuan’s heartbeat quicken he smiled maliciously, he leaned in but he made sure that at no point their lips would touch.
The photographer took pictures and said:
"I need one with a kiss but we’ll start slow."
Atlas nodded at him and leaned in, he captured Shuyuan’s lips until the photographer had enough pictures. He pulled back and looked at the photographer.
"Now I need more heat."
The entire cast was on the side watching even if they were done and could leave. They wanted to see Atlas in character. It’s hard to see him as this malicious and seductive person when he looks so pure and angelic.
But the second they saw him in costume they were stunned, still, they wanted to see if he would be comfortable seeing how sexy the pictures are.
But it looked like he had no issue. Dawei was trembling in rage as he looked at Shuyuan and Atlas’s kiss. When they kissed he was beyond happy but it was just a peck, he and Atlas are french kissing. All the hot scenes happen between Li Yu and the emperor. He’s so angry he can’t stand it.
Atlas kissed Shuyuan until the photographer yelled:
"Perfect I got it."
Atlas pulled back and looked into Shuyuan’s blurry eyes, he forced himself not to smile and looked at him blushing.
After a few seconds looked down and murmured:
"I’m sorry for yesterday."
Shuyuan shook his head to focus and asked:
"Are you?"
Atlas immediately looked up and insisted:
"I am."
Shuyuan said:
"Then you need to prove it to me."
When Atlas looked at him hesitantly he asked:
"So you were lying you’re not sorry?"
Atlas said:
"No I am just tell me what I can do to make it up and I will. I want us to be friends."
Shuyuan who had heard exactly what he wanted smiled inwardly and said:
"I’ll tell you when you’re forgiven."
He could tell that Atlas was reassured and he smiled, Atlas smiled too. Shuyuan just wanted to pull him and kiss him again.
He looked so lovely when he first saw him enter the room, he was speechless for the first time in his life. He’s never met someone as lovely and sweet as Atlas. He hasn’t been able to stop thinking about him since they kissed during the audition.
The weird thing is that after they kissed he felt like he had been waiting to kiss him again for so long when it was their first kiss. He felt this longing deep down when it doesn’t make any sense. He tried to fight those feelings but after yesterday he realized that there’s no fighting them.
He wants him more than he ever wanted anyone. He’ll make him his and he doesn’t care if he still has feelings for Xinyu he’ll make him fall for him. He looked at Atlas standing up and leaving. His eyes flashed with determination, you’ll be mine.
