Chapter 122: Mafia / 1.9 : Playing
When Atlas heard footsteps approaching he looked at his cellular. Yixin entered the room and closed the door behind him. He walked to Atlas and looked at him. He was scrolling through his cellular. He grabbed it out of his hand and looked at it. Atlas immediately stood up and tried to get it back but Yixin had lifted his hand and he couldn’t reach. Atlas narrowed his eyes.
Yixin put down his hand and looked through it. Atlas stayed in place letting him do as he pleased until he was done. When he had seen enough Yixin handed him back the cellular, Atlas took it back and put it in his back pocket. He bypassed Yixin to leave but he blocked the way. Atlas asked:
"What are you doing?"
Yixin held his chin and asked:
"Do you know who I am?"
Atlas nodded. Yixin ordered:
"Say it."
"Zen Yixin the leader of the Zen clan."
Yixin asked:
"Do you know of my reputation?"
Atlas cursed in his head but he still nodded expressionlessly.
Yixin pulled him in his embrace and asked:
"What do people say about me?"
Atlas tried to get out of his embrace but it was impossible, the man was like a brick wall. Yixin held him tightly in place and wrapped his hand behind his neck so Atlas would look at him. Atlas answered:
"They all say that you’re..."
Atlas stopped in the middle of his sentence and looked into Yixin’s eyes. That man is clearly trying to scare him but it isn’t working. When he saw Yixin again he checked Versem and saw that he ran the Zen Clan. From the information, he had everyone indeed fears him but he doesn’t get this feeling from him.
He got the big boss vibe but over the day they spent together, it changed. He’s seen all the things he did and people should be afraid of him but he isn’t. He’ll play along to see what that devil is up to. Atlas murmured:
"A ruthless and bloodthirsty tyrant."
Yixin asked with a smile:
"Do you believe that?"
Atlas shook his head but Yixin could tell he didn’t mean it, he was hesitant.
Yixin chuckled, Atlas used that opportunity to free himself. Yixin took a step toward him but Atlas took a step backward.
"What are you doing?"
Atlas looked down in silence.
Yixin took a step forward and managed to grab him. He held onto his waist and buried his face in his neck. He greedily took in this scent he missed so much. Atlas caressed his head and Yixin closed his eyes enjoying that feeling. He was startled when Atlas abruptly pushed him away. Yixin looked displeased and he advanced again with cold eyes.
Atlas seemed determined to keep as much space between them as possible.
"Atlas you’re angering me."
Atlas murmured:
"I didn’t know who you were when we met. If I knew you were A-Xuan’s fiance I wouldn’t have run from... Let’s just act as if nothing happened. I don’t want anyone to know."
Yixin’s grey eyes turned dark as he asked:
"Who was in the room next door?"
"My fiance."
Yixin chuckled darkly.
"Your fiance?"
Atlas nodded.
Yixin asked taking a step forward:
"What’s his name?"
"Wu Han."
Yixin’s last remaining chill left him when he heard that name. He grabbed Atlas’s wrist and asked:
"If he is your fiance why were you running away"?
Atlas looked at him then away as he murmured:
"There’s no need to tell you’re A-Xuan’s fiance."
Yixin turned his head and ordered:
"Tell me."
Atlas yelled:
"I’m not going to waste my time telling you when you won’t believe me so let it go."
Yixin loosened his hold and said:
"If you tell me it’s the truth I’ll believe you."
Atlas looked into his eyes for a few seconds then explained:
"When I came back on Nilian 72T I found out that my grandfather had left me everything in his will. There was an appendix stating that if I didn’t want to run the clan I could just marry and that I would be taken care of my entire life while A-Xuan would run the clan and companies. I had just lost my grandfather so I didn’t think of what I would do but my father and A-Xuan went to see Wu Han and offered me in marriage for something in return and he agreed. Once they told me I refused since I knew of his dark reputation but they guilted me into having dinner with him. I agreed to have lunch in one of the Yao hotels thinking I would be safe but they had planned everything."
Atlas looked down sadly. Yixin lifted his head and asked softly:
"What happened?"
Atlas’ eyes moistened and he said:
"They had the cooks add some drug in the food so I would go into heat since they knew I had never stopped using inhibitors. Once it happened Wu Han took me to the suite they had prepared for us and he locked all the doors so I couldn’t leave. Since he could feel that I wanted to leave he went to get something to drink and I used that opportunity to escape."
When Atlas looked down crying Yixin pulled him in his embrace. The day he and Atlas went their separate ways he asked his investigator to find out everything about him because he knew that despite his act Atlas wasn’t this shameless person he was pretending to be. Now he knows what happened but he still has more questions but it doesn’t seem like Atlas will tell him and A-Xuan is even less likely to. He’s going to receive the report tonight and he’ll find out everything about him.
Atlas pulled back and after wiping his tears he took a step back.
"You should go A-Xuan is probably wondering where you are."
Yixin looked at Atlas who had his head down. He turned around and walked to the door. Once he reached it he put a hand on it then he opened it and left. Atlas looked up and touched the place Yixin’s hand was with an amused smile and after waiting long enough he went downstairs.
Once he entered the living room he saw that Wu Han and Shen-Ge were there. Shen stood up and walked to Atlas when he saw him. Atlas ran and leaped in his arms. Shen held onto him tightly with a broad smile. When he wanted to put Atlas down it doesn’t seem like he was willing to. Shen chuckled and put him down when he was ready. He caressed his head and asked with an affectionate smile:
"How are you?"
"I’m okay now that you’re here."
"Did you miss me?"
Atlas nodded emotionally and Shen pulled him in his embrace. He hates that he had to go back for so long. He knows full well what kind of person Kuang and A-Xuan are and he wasn’t going to let them abuse Atlas again. He caressed his head and promised:
"I won’t leave again."
Atlas pulled back with a smile. He pulled him and they took their seat. Kuang who saw that his son hadn’t acknowledged Wu Han yet coughed and said:
"Atlas Han is here."
Atlas looked at him with a gentle smile and said :
"Hello, Han how are you?"
Han was a little surprised by his attitude. When he and Atlas went back to the room it was clear that he was reluctant to have sex with him but right now he’s acting like he’s happy to see him. When he thought more about what happened after he was able to go home and eat he was worried that Atlas might refuse him.
I mean he ran away from him because the thought of them having sex was that repulsive to him. But he can’t take the risk to lose the deal with the Yao clan. Even if he has power it’s nothing compared to the Zen and Yao clan so his clan needs the deal with them. He smiled and said:
"I’m okay how are you?"
"I’m okay thank you."
Han smiled and looked away. Was he brainwashed by Kuang and A-Xuan? It must be the only explanation. Yixin looked at their interaction expressionlessly.
During dinner Atlas mostly spoke to Shen and ignored the rest. He’ll deal with each of them separately. He walked Shen out and hugged him goodbye.
"I’ll see you tomorrow night."
Shen nodded and left.
Han just smiled at him goodbye but Atlas held his wrist. He looked at him surprised.
"Can we have lunch together tomorrow?"
Han nodded.
"Of course, I would love to."
Atlas smiled.
"Good I’ll text you the information."
Han nodded and left.
Yixin looked at Kuang and A-Xuan who were looking at the scene pleased. Atlas turn around and walked up the stairs. He stopped when A-Xuan asked:
"Atlas aren’t you going to say goodbye to Yixin? Even if you are angry at me my fiance hasn’t done anything to you."
Atlas couldn’t stop himself from smiling at that. Actually, your fiance has done a lot to me... He turned around and gave a polite smile.
"It was nice to meet you Yixin."
Yixin simply nodded and looked at Atlas leave.
