Chapter 102: Burn to ashes!

"ARGH!!!!"

The man screamed in agony as he felt an unimaginable amount of pain coursing through his entire being. He snapped his head towards the rest of the cultivators.

"What are you guys doing!? Go and fucking kill him!!" He roared in frustration as he popped a healing pill in his mouth, though the hand wasn’t regrowing any time soon.

Hearing this, Emperal rolled and cracked his neck once. The Stormvein sword in his hand slipped and went straight into the ground.

"Come, I’ll show you the difference between an inferior and a superior Dragon."

His smile widened as incomparable arrogance radiated from his physique, his chest, neck, and forearms hardened into thick Magma Scales. His nails extended into burning red claws.

But this time...something was different. From his claws...smoke billowed lightly as if coming in contact with the air itself was making the evaporation happen.

The heat radiating from his claws was no joke. The nearest Verth Wielder, though he sensed the anomaly, ultimately chose to dive in.

"Sol’verthrak."

Heat burst behind Emperal as he charged towards the incoming assailant; intense heat radiated from his palm.

The Verth Wielder felt his blood freeze as he felt the monstrous movement of the burning dragon in front of him.

Emperal arrived before the Wielder, before he could even blink, and drove his claws straight into his exposed flank!

HISSSS!!!

The heat was immediately transferred upon contact. The Wielder’s eyes widened when he felt that.

"N-N-NO—ARGH!!! IT BUR—!!"

Before he could even complete his words, he dropped to the ground...smoke coming from every direction of his body.

"What!?"

The second Wielder was horrified, but having already charged, he didn’t have a choice but to continue.

He waved his hand, and a silver spear materialized in his hands...it had an incredibly sharp edge. Taking a step forward, he leaped high. Verth gathered around his arms.

"DIE, YOU SON OF A BITCH!"

Without hesitation, he threw the spear with unimaginable force. The spear arrived towards Emperal in the blink of an eye.

SLING~!

KCCHHK!!

Using every bit of his strength, he moved aside. But the spear’s speed was too fast; it ripped through his collarbone and went straight through it, puncturing a large hole in the process.

"Shit!" Emperal’s eyes blurred for a second; he didn’t think the spear would actually be so powerful and fast that it could rip through his scales.

But...it did.

The two did not waste any time; they lunged towards him with their nails extended into metallic steel claws.

"Heh, got you!"

Just as the claws were about to tear his head apart, a massive wind blade zapped from behind Emperal and struck the two head-on!

Emperal’s eyes widened slightly, the claws waved past him as he simply tilted his head. After all...

The two men looked at each other, confused, wondering why their own bodies were up there and they...on the ground.

The thoughts were abruptly shut off as Mother Darkness claimed them under her sweet embrace.

Emperal exhaled lightly and tilted his head back at the sky. There, Dresh was fighting as if nothing had happened, only Daereth seemed to curse her even more and twist her face beyond the norm of frustration.

"Hah~ I’m still too weak and...what the fuck was that spear?"

He couldn’t help rethinking his ’superior’ draconic scales. Looking ahead, he saw it stuck in the ground... it had sunk to its midsection.

Without hesitation, he walked towards the spear. With his nails still extended into claws, he reached to grab the spear.

HISSSS~!

The moment he touched it, loud hissing sounds were heard as the heat from his claws came into contact with the metal.

But to Emperal’s surprise, there was no single mark or any abnormality on the spear! It was perfectly fine.

Without hesitation, he pulled out the spear from the ground and gave it a few swings.

"Hey~ Not bad, this feels slightly good."

Though he wasn’t a spear practitioner, using the spear and more than its basics....he had learned them.

After all, from when he was young, he firmly believed that a single weapon wasn’t enough to protect him; alongside the sword, he actually knew quite a lot of them.

His mastery of the sword precedes every weapon by a large margin.

Tilting his head, he saw Calder’s fight in the distance.

"...That brat could even fly now?"

Emperal couldn’t help but mutter in envy at Verth Shaper. One could indeed use their own Verth to fly or do similar activities. He seems to be slightly lower than that Korrath guy."

Emperal spoke.

...

Korrath was larger than Calder had expected up close; his body had hardened to a terrifying degree, his earth-iron affinity was thoroughly expressed as mass and solidity.

Korrath swung his fist without any technique; the sheer force behind the blow was enough to produce a small sonic boom.

Calder hurriedly raised his hands, trying to block it. And block it—he did.

BOOM!!

He was forced five-six steps back, looking down, he saw his arms had entirely broken.

"How dare you, a mere First Stage Verth Shaper, fight me, a Second Stage Verth Shaper? It seems rapid advancement has muddled your brain into thinking you can actually match me!"

Korrath spoke, his hands fisted. Calder exhaled lightly when he heard those words. He looked at the ground, at his own blood, and lastly at his arm, which was hanging a bit wrong.

The pupils in his eyes flickered as the image of his mother burning and screaming for help resounded and hammered inside his head.

Unknown to him, a dense green liquid began to materialize slowly. It ran through his functioning arm and began to pool in it. It was thick and dense. A single drop from that cluster dripped down...on the same huge tree.

In the next instant, under the shocked eyes of Korrath. The moment the drop of liquid touched the tree...it sucked the entirety of its vitality!

The tree was turned into dust in mere seconds before scattering in the air.

Calder’s eyes became blurry as a tint of red flashed in them.

"Die, you should all just die. Burn to ashes, all will burn to ashes."

The green liquid shifted the moment his voice resounded. He ripped through the air and went straight at Korrath!
