Hearing footsteps behind her, Yu Zhizhi’s first instinct was to close the search bar.
In fact, Yusen had already seen it.
The frightened little rabbit hastily hid the medicine.

Morning light streamed through the kitchen window, dyeing her hair a shade of orange. Barefoot, Yusen padded across the floor to the side of the kitchen and picked up a glass for water.
As the young man drew closer, Yu Zhizhi backed away.
She reached the refrigerator and fumbled to open it, pretending to look for ingredients.
Seeing the young female cowering, a cold sneer formed on the Mermaid’s lips. "Why don’t you click on one and take a good look? Pick a way you’d like to die."
Her rabbit ears twitched slightly.
Yu Zhizhi replied in a small voice, "I was just curious..."
"So, what was your conclusion?" The young man’s ice-blue eyes fell to her hidden hand. He knew the young female was clutching the medicine from the Lost Tower.
"...Yusen wouldn’t do that."
"Why wouldn’t I?"
Hearing those words, some of the frost in the Mermaid’s eyes thawed.
He swirled the glass in his hand. Just because he was the one using it, even the simple glass looked like an exquisite work of art.
The little female rabbit knew nothing about the Mermaid Clan.
Yusen watched her as she racked her brain for reasons to prove that "Sensen is gentle."

Putting down the glass, he walked toward the young female. Her rabbit ears shot up in alarm, and she pressed her back tightly against the refrigerator, staring at him blankly.
Suddenly, Yu Zhizhi felt him take the hand she was hiding behind her back. Clutched between her slender fingers was a small, white pill.
Just as Yu Zhizhi was about to explain, she watched Yusen lean down, take the pill with his mouth, and swallow it right in front of her.
Beneath his dark brown bangs were a pair of clear, ice-blue eyes. As the morning light shone into them, Yu Zhizhi felt as if she were seeing the most beautiful sight in the world.
No matter how many times she saw him, she was always completely captivated by the Mermaid’s beauty.
Realizing what he had just done, she instinctively tried to flee.
But he caught her. "Don’t be in such a hurry to run."
In one swift motion, Yusen lifted her up and set her on the kitchen counter. He reached out and pinched the young female’s soft cheek, his voice carrying a hint of a husky laugh. "I took the medicine willingly, you know. Such a good opportunity. Aren’t you going to check?"
"How do I check?" Yu Zhizhi asked dumbly.
The moment the words left her mouth, the Mermaid standing before her leaned in and gently kissed her lips.
It was a soft, fleeting kiss, like a dragonfly skimming the water’s surface.
Yu Zhizhi could smell the fresh, sea-like scent on him. His skin was as pale as paper, but his lips were an unusually bewitching color.
The young man’s light, continuous pecks made her heart flutter.
She wanted to pull away.
But he held her in place and began to deepen the kiss.
Sitting on the cold kitchen counter, Yu Zhizhi couldn’t stop trembling. His every touch was like an electric shock, sending tingles through her. He tilted her chin up, forcing her to angle her head to better allow him to taste her sweetness.
After a long moment, the Mermaid let go and took a step back. He saw the young female’s dazed eyes and her slightly swollen lips. She looked both innocent and pitiful.
Before this, Yusen had never imagined he would ever take the initiative to kiss a female.
The little rabbit’s face was flushed red. She carefully slid off the counter, but her legs suddenly gave out, and she stumbled right into his arms.
If the Mermaid hadn’t reached out to catch her, Yu Zhizhi would have collapsed onto the floor.
The young female was delicate and pliant, like a pool of water. He scooped her up and set her back on her feet.
"Anyone who didn’t know better would think you were the one who took the medicine."

"I thought it was okay to let him out. Besides, he took his medicine—" Yu Zhizhi said quickly.
Hearing that he had taken the medicine, Luther’s tense posture relaxed somewhat.
"Are you planning on going out today?" he asked.
Yu Zhizhi nodded. "I want to buy some clothes for Sensen, and some other things he’ll need."
Luther knew the Rabbit Clan Lady was very fond of this fish.
She was truly raising him with great gentleness and care.
"Alright, I’ll take you."
Luther hesitated for a moment before suggesting, "But, Ms. Zhi Zhi, please bring him with you. After all, if he’s left home alone, he might do something terrible."
Hearing this, Yu Zhizhi turned her head to look at Yusen.
"Do you want to go?"
The question stunned both Yusen and Luther.
A Mermaid’s keeper would never ask for a Mermaid’s opinion.
Yusen’s tone was cold, but his gaze softened slightly. "I can."
Luther knew of Ms. Zhi Zhi’s kindness and innocence. He dutifully reminded her, "When you take a Mermaid out, you have to put them on a leash in case they go berserk."
Yusen’s lips curled into a slight smile as he walked toward the bathroom.
When he came out, he was holding an iron chain. The end with the collar was already fastened around his own neck.
The Mermaid handed the other end of the chain to the young lady.

"You have to hold on tight, Master." Yusen’s ice-blue eyes held a faint smile. His gentle whisper was like the song of a sea demon.
Luther just felt a headache coming on.
The Mermaid Clan was simply too good at winning the hearts of the females on Beast Star.
Luther could only hope that Louis would return soon.
Although he had prepared a "little gift" for Louis, it was all for Ms. Zhi Zhi’s safety. Louis should be able to understand.
