Ding Huan hadn’t been gone long when the man with the bird’s nest hair returned to the Emerald River of the Undersea.
He stood dumbfounded by the significantly shortened Green Crystal, staying like that for several breaths.
When he came to his senses, his first action was to rush over to the spot where Ding Huan had dug out the Star Sky Spiritual Vein, touching it before licking it.
"Goodness, I really didn’t see that coming." Excitement flashed in the man’s eyes as he dashed off in the direction Ding Huan had vanished.
However, after a few steps, he seemed to remember something, and returned to the riverbank where he summoned a Magical Treasure and blasted down.
Indeed, this time he managed to blast a gap in the previously unyielding Emerald Crystal of the Sea Depths.
"Haha, no need to rush after that kid, there are still dozens of zhang of Emerald Crystal here, might as well collect these first." The man with the bird’s nest hair laughed heartily as the frequency of his Magical Treasure’s descent increased.
Ding Huan, however, stopped in his tracks, finally breathing a sigh of relief.
He saw Hu Wuxin and Mo Zheng.
Hu Wuxin and Mo Zheng looked rather pitiable, with broken legs and bodies as thin as sticks, their skin clinging to their bones.
Both were trying to heal on the spot, but their Divine Will was probably gone, and their cultivation technique operated with extreme difficulty.
Each Cycle was as tough as eating shit; thus, although they were healing, it hardly made a difference compared to not healing at all.
As for the rings and backpacks they carried, all were gone.
Ding Huan estimated that if he hadn’t come, these two wouldn’t last a month.
"Lao Hu, Lao Mo, how did you end up in such a state?" Ding Huan asked in surprise at the sight of the two men.
It was then that Hu Wuxin and Mo Zheng noticed Ding Huan, joy flashing in their eyes, but that soon turned to astonishment at the sight of Ding Huan’s legs.
Ding Huan’s legs were fine?
"Eh, where did this kid come from? Such a young age and yet he’s an Immortal."
A hoarse voice came through, and Ding Huan saw a withered old crone.
Just by laying eyes on the old crone, Ding Huan felt a cold breath rushing towards his crown; this was a powerful being, much stronger than him.
"He is no Immortal, just used some tricks to keep his legs intact."
A man with a face covered in horizontal flesh approached from a distance.
"How do you know?" the crone asked in surprise.
The man said,
"I saw it with the Monitoring Array. He crafted a buffer Magical Treasure that can make use of the air’s energy, a pretty clever kid. I reckon his cultivation level is at most that of a Void God Realm."
"And here I thought he could use Divine Will, heh, I thought too highly of him."
The old crone laughed heartily, advancing towards Ding Huan.
Ding Huan instinctively retreated a few steps, finding himself with his back towards Hu Wuxin and Mo Zheng.
"Hand over the ring," the old crone said as she reached out with a slap toward Ding Huan.

Although the old crone’s strength was restricted to less than one percent, not even one-thousandth of her Divine Will remained, Ding Huan still couldn’t dodge the slap.
He tried his best to throw a punch.
"Crack!" No surprise, Ding Huan’s arm broke, and he was sent flying, crashing next to Hu Wuxin and Mo Zheng.
Despite Ding Huan’s attempt to leverage the old woman’s force, he knew from this exchange that if they really fought, he wouldn’t last 15 minutes before the old crone killed him.
This old woman’s strength was probably one-tenth of her full capacity, yet she was still formidable.
Hu Wuxin sighed,
"Ding Huan, it’s no use, Immortals below this place cannot extend their Divine Will, and there are as many strong beings as there are hairs on a bull - any random one is an Earth Immortal strong being."
"Eh, not even a spit of blood?" The old crone exclaimed in surprise upon seeing Ding Huan unharmed.
In her eyes, Ding Huan’s broken arm didn’t count as an injury.
Indeed, no sooner did Ding Huan’s arm break than it recovered within a breath.
As she was about to step forward to seize Ding Huan by the neck, suddenly she saw Ding Huan throw out dozens of talismans.
A series of explosions sounded, with violent energies bursting forth.
Both the old crone with the pigeon skin and the man with the horizontal flesh who had just arrived were taken aback, retreating instinctively.
If it were their prime, they wouldn’t have cared.
Now, with their strengths severely discounted, they had to be cautious.
Moreover, in this place, an injury meant living with one’s head in one’s hand.
Ding Huan, however, seized this moment to leap up, grabbing Hu Wuxin and Mo Zheng with one hand, then throwing out dozens of Prohibition talismans.
As a breach tore open in the spatial prohibition, Ding Huan’s feet struck the Separation Spear and he rushed forward.
"That little beast, he really can extend his Divine Will..."
The old crone cursed when she realized that the talismans Ding Huan had thrown were merely Blast Talismans, lacking any offensive ability.
Only an idiot would spend Spirit Stones on such low-grade Blast Talismans, just as only an idiot would craft them.
It was a complete waste of materials and Spirit Stones.
The sole purpose of such Blast Talismans as those Ding Huan threw was to give someone a scare.
Because these talismans could produce a massive noise, then create a false sense of spatial turbulence, even a false sense of collapse.
In actuality, these talismans had no attacking power.
Even if one stood still, at most they would only suffer minor flesh wounds.
To an Earth Immortal Realm strong being, how could flesh wounds count as injuries?
"His use of Divine Will was indeed unexpected, but he won’t escape. If he could, we would have left long ago."
The man with the horizontal flesh dismissed with a comment.
```
He felt quite embarrassed; he had likewise been startled by Ding Huan’s Blast Talisman just moments ago.
The old hag did not refute the brawny man’s words.
She knew that once you enter this place, there’s absolutely no escape.
Apart from the dozens of yards near the bottom of the canyon which are filled with man-made aerial prohibitions and various other attack and monitoring arrays, the rest of the area is covered by natural aerial prohibitions and deadly traps.
As soon as one falls into this canyon, their Divine Will is naturally suppressed.
Even a Cultivator of the Earth Immortal realm is restricted to a Divine Will of merely the Foundation Establishment Realm. Those with more formidable cultivation can barely reach the Divine Will strength of the True Pill Realm.
To achieve the intensity of a Divine Will from the Primordial Soul Realm is virtually impossible.
Even with the strength of a Divine Will in the True Pill Realm, the idea of breaking through the aerial prohibitions here and rushing out of the canyon is nearly a fantasy.
That’s because the higher you go, the more terrifying the consumption of Divine Will.
And that’s just to contend with the aerial prohibitions. Besides those, the canyon is filled with natural prohibitions like deadly traps and Binding Restrictions.
Each kind of restriction severely depletes Divine Will.
Once the Divine Will is drained to a certain extent, one will inevitably fall and die.
Countless Cultivators have perished in this chasm, most of whom were powerful beings above the rank of Immortal.
"Ding Huan, it’s useless. Once you enter this place, you can’t get out. You don’t know how deep it is.
I and Lao Mo saw someone trying to ascend, and only after a whole day did they fall back down dead," said Hu Wuxin.
Hu Wuxin was very grateful to Ding Huan for rescuing them but he was well aware that Ding Huan could not possibly ascend.
Ding Huan did not respond to Hu Wuxin’s words. During the lull of the Separation Spear, he grabbed two more talismans designed to break prohibitions and threw them out.
He also threw out three Defense Talismans, protecting his surroundings.
Others might not be able to escape, but that didn’t mean he couldn’t.
What he was worried about now wasn’t the aerial prohibitions, but rather the fear that someone might control the surrounding attack arrays to target him.
As long as he could surge upwards a hundred yards, he wouldn’t need to worry any longer.
Based on his observations when he previously fell, everything above a hundred yards consisted of natural prohibitions, with no man-made ones.
For these natural attack prohibitions, all he needed was to use Defense Talismans, anyway he had plenty of talismans.
This also illustrated why the strong cultivators at the bottom of the valley couldn’t break through the hundred-yard mark—thus, they set up all the attack prohibitions within that hundred-yard range near the valley floor.
"We’ve been in here for over half a year, constantly healing in that spot. They say only when our legs are healed can we enter the residential area for Cultivators of the Fourth Layer Heaven Canyon.
But we don’t have any Spirit Stones, and our rings have been taken away. How could we possibly recover from our injuries?" Mo Zheng lamented internally.
All of a sudden, he felt that even if Ding Huan took them with him and they fell and died, it wouldn’t be so bad.
After all, staying in place meant certain death.
"Without taking your ring, you couldn’t have taken out Medicine Pills anyway. Ding Huan’s method of using a backpack before was actually useful, it’s just a pity that our backpacks too were taken by these shameless people.
They call themselves Earth Immortals, pah!"
Hu Wuxin sighed after his reflection.
However, Ding Huan suddenly accelerated, breaking through the hundred-yard mark, and above that, there was no longer a need to worry.
One talisman after another was unleashed by Ding Huan.
Acceleration Talismans, talismans to break prohibitions, Defense Talismans…
Eventually, even Hu Wuxin began to doubt whether Ding Huan really could lead them out of the Fourth Layer Heaven Canyon.
The array of talismans at Ding Huan’s disposal seemed endless; every time Hu Wuxin thought Ding Huan had run out of talismans to break prohibitions, he would produce another and momentarily rupture the spatial restrictions.
Why can’t many ascend out of the Fourth Layer Heaven Canyon? Isn’t it because surging upwards continuously consumes Divine Will?
In most cases, once Divine Will is depleted, they realize they are still far from escaping the canyon and end up falling to their deaths.
But Ding Huan was different. With so many talismans at his disposal, which required little to no consumption of Divine Will, perhaps he really could make it up.
In fact, Ding Huan estimated that even without using talismans to break prohibitions, he could escape the Fourth Layer Heaven Canyon.
He had yet to use the rushing True Yuan from the stars in his Dantian, and the star systems in his Sea of Consciousness were still circulating. Although his Divine Will was suppressed, it was being replenished continuously.
For Ding Huan, the talismans he bore to break prohibitions were completely disposable—if they could be used here, why hold back?
As Ding Huan ascended higher and higher, Hu Wuxin and Mo Zheng no longer dared to speak, both watching intently the Separation Spear below Ding Huan’s feet.
After all, what if Ding Huan managed to take them up? Wouldn’t that mean they’ve clung to life?
One day later, Hu Wuxin could even feel his own excited heartbeat.
Not just Hu Wuxin was excited, but so was Mo Zheng.
They felt a slight return of their Divine Will, a mere trickle, but it signified they were about to break out of the canyon.
For in the Four-layered Sea, they had a faint Divine Will.
Ding Huan suddenly accelerated; using less than the time it takes to burn an incense stick, the Separation Spear broke out of the canyon, landing on the dried sea bed.
"Ding Huan, am I dreaming? Did we really make it out?" Mo Zheng’s voice trembled with excitement.
Hu Wuxin was also shivering in disbelief; many Immortals and Earth Immortals were trapped in the Four-layered Sea Canyon, yet they were actually rescued by Ding Huan.
Ding Huan breathed a sigh of relief and handed out two rings to the two:
"We’re temporarily out now; we’ll discuss further once we leave this sea. These two rings contain some Spirit Stones and basic resources, use them to heal for now."
"Thank you, thank you so much…" Hu Wuxin clenched his fist in excitement.
Teaming up with Ding Huan was the best decision he had made in his life; otherwise, he would have died in the Four-layered Sea.
With the Medicine Pills and Spirit Stones, and since both Hu Wuxin and Mo Zheng were Void God Realm Cultivators, it only took a day for the two to regain their mobility.
