“We won, we won.”

The kids from Old Green House, who were watching Terrance’s Gym Battle, immediately cheered. However, there were exceptions—like Ayan, who remained indifferent. What a joke, wasn’t winning completely normal?

“Oh? Is there a Gym Battle going on?”

Suddenly, Albus appeared out of nowhere and patted Ayan on the shoulder, saying, “Good morning, everyone.”

“Uh… good morning.” Ayan was startled. It wasn’t exactly morning anymore.

“Big brother, I remember you’re also a Trainer, right?” Rina suddenly asked.

“Huh? Oh yeah, I did mention that yesterday.”

Albus was slightly taken aback. Although he isn’t officially a Trainer and only had three Pokémon with him, he could still be considered a Trainer, right?

When it came to strength, he was very confident in his skills. So upon hearing Rina’s question, Albus immediately put on a confident expression, “I’m not bragging, but my Pokémon are all very strong.”

After the battle ended, Terrance was in a good mood. After recalling Dustox and giving the rookie some pointers, he went upstairs with Scarlet. Soon, they noticed the group engaged in an intense conversation with Albus.

“What are you guys all doing here…” Terrance was puzzled.

“Brother Terrance, Big Brother Albus wants to have a Gym Battle too!” Rina shouted.

“……” Terrance raised an eyebrow. Thinking back to Butterfree taking on Aerodactyl, he shook his head vigorously.

“You’re not even planning to participate in the Ever Grande Conference. Why are you getting involved in this?”

“I just want to show the kids my Pokémon.” Albus chuckled. Since he was also an orphan, he found it fun to spend time with the Old Green House’ children.

“Then just show them directly.” Terrance said casually.

“This… this… this…” Seeing the expectant looks in Rina and Myu’s eyes, Albus cleared his throat, “Alright then, but my Pokémon are quite fierce.”

“I’m not scared.” Rina said. Other than being frightened by an Arcanine once, she hadn’t even been scared when being chased by a Poochyena.

“Let’s go to the Gym’s backyard.” Rina suggested.

Terrance didn’t say anything, but after finishing what he was doing, he followed along. He was also curious to see Albus’ Pokémon.

“Roar~~~”

With an earth-shaking entrance, Aerodactyl burst out of its Poké Ball, its wings flapping with such ferocity that it sent the group of kids stumbling backward.

Aerodactyl’s aura was overwhelmingly powerful and unrestrained, brimming with a ferocity. Despite having faced this Aerodactyl in battle before, Terrance couldn’t help but feel a renewed sense of surprise upon seeing it once more.

Besides Aerodactyl, there was also Albus’ ace Pokémon—Lucario. However, compared to the openly imposing Aerodactyl, Lucario appeared much calmer. This reminded Terrance of his own Gallade, which had been honed through adversity… These two Pokémon had very similar auras.

“And this one…”

A final flash of light appeared as the Poké Ball Albus threw landed near the Gym’s backyard pool. A Gyarados, whose ferocious appearance was no less intimidating than Aerodactyl’s, emerged in the water.

“Roar!!”

With a single slap of its tail, countless water droplets splashed into the air. “It looks like it’s trying to intimidate others, but in reality, it’s actually quite gentle.”

After releasing Gyarados, Albus explained to everyone.

“They really are all fierce…” Ayan glanced at Aerodactyl and Gyarados before shifting his gaze to the silent Lucario. Except for Lucario, the other two Pokémon didn’t seem easy to deal with.

Especially that Aerodactyl—Ayan had seen with his own eyes how it fought on equal footing with Altaria.

“That’s it?” Seeing that Albus had only sent out three Pokémon, Terrance thought to himself. Did he only own three Pokémon? Or was he just choosing to show three?

The roars of Aerodactyl and Gyarados echoed through Fallarbor Gym as they emerged from their Poké Balls. Hearing the commotion, Fujiki, who was reading in the Gym’s library, couldn’t help but walk over.

“What are you guys doing?” Fujiki asked as she saw Albus with all his Pokémon out.

“Fujiki, you’re here too. The environment here is nice, why not let your Roserade and the others out for some fresh air?”

Albus noticed Fujiki and suggested.

“No need.” Fujiki hesitated for a moment, then shook her head.

“It’s fine. The Gym has plenty of extra Pokémon food. It’s almost noon, so I’ll start preparing lunch.” Terrance said at this moment.

“We make all the food ourselves!” Rina added.

Fujiki looked at the two of them, remained silent for a moment, then took out two Poké Balls and gently pressed them.

“Alright then. Roserade, Ninetales, you two come out as well.”

Roserade and Ninetales emerged from their Poké Balls. Terrance’s expression shifted slightly. He had originally thought that Albus was the only one with strong Pokémon, but he hadn’t expected the two Pokémon Fujiki sent out to be nearly on par with Aerodactyl.

“Wow, such a beautiful Ninetales!”

Rina and Myu quickly ran over to Ninetales.

“You’ve both raised your Pokémon very well.”

Terrance looked at the five Pokémon and sighed deeply.

Albus didn’t hide anything and said, “Aerodactyl, Roserade, and Ninetales were among the Pokémon that were treated badly by them. After we rescued some Pokémon, these were the ones that chose to follow us voluntarily.”

“As for Gyarados, I captured it using my Aura power in order to leave from Nightmare Island. It was the Lord of the Coast* of that sea area. Its strength was one of the best in those waters.” [TN: Lord of the Coast is a Sea King in one piece.]

“Why are you telling me all this?”

Terrance looked up at him.

“Aren’t you curious why the two of us only have these few Pokémon?”

Terrance thought Albus would continue speaking, but to his surprise, he suddenly fell silent.

“Brother Terrance, hurry and bring out your white Vulpix! I want to see Ninetales and Vulpix together.!”

It turned out that Rina had suddenly appeared beside them.

“Uh…”

Terrance hesitated for a moment before saying, “Alright, let’s let them all out. I’ll go prepare the food now.”

Altaria, Gallade, Castform, Mismagius, Arcanine, Ice Vulpix…

Terrance released all of his Pokémon from their Poké Balls. As soon as Altaria and the others appeared, they immediately sensed the powerful aura of Albus and Fujiki’s Pokémon, locking eyes with them in an instant.

“Relax!” Terrance quickly spoke up. “It’s lunchtime.”

“This Vulpix…” Fujiki spoke slowly, her gaze filled with surprise as she looked at the snow-white Vulpix. She turned to Terrance, waiting for an explanation.

“It’s an Alolan Vulpix. Since they’ve lived in snowy mountains for generations, their form has changed. The Pokémon from that region are somewhat different from the ones here in Hoenn.”

Terrance explained.

Fujiki walked over to the Ice Vulpix, crouched down slightly, and reached out to gently stroke its fur.

“Terrance, your Arcanine looks pretty strong… How about a battle?”

“Another time. I need to prepare food, and I have a Gym Battle this afternoon.” Terrance sighed.
