Chapter 143: Roommates For weeks
After hearing about Elder Song, Seraph felt a bit conflicted. He knew the woman was deeply indebted to him, and he felt a bit apologetic that he had left without informing her.
’Oh well, that’s in the past, anyway.’
He sighed, then stood up. "I need to speak with that woman Shenn about you guys. Don’t worry, I’ll be back in a jiffy."
The three girls nodded, and soon, Seraph was gone.
The room gradually fell into silence after Seraph left.
For a brief moment, no one spoke. The only sound was the faint rustling of clothes as the girls shifted in their seats. None of them dared to meet another’s gaze for too long, as though doing so would expose the thoughts they were all desperately trying to hide.
An awkward atmosphere quietly settled over the room.
Dera absentmindedly played with a loose strand of her silver hair, her fingers twisting around it again and again. Beside her, Sera lowered her head, her expression unusually stiff as countless thoughts flashed through her mind.
Tamar looked from one girl to another before suppressing a helpless smile.
’Seriously... they’re all thinking the same thing, aren’t they?’
Even Ariana, who appeared to be peacefully sleeping against the wall, seemed just a little too still.
Finally, unable to bear the silence any longer, Tamar lightly clapped her hands together.
"So..." she said with a mischievous smile. "Who’s going to confess first?"
The words landed like a stone dropped into a tranquil lake.
Dera froze instantly. A crimson blush climbed from her neck to the tips of her ears as she stared at Tamar with widened eyes.
Sera’s reaction was the complete opposite. Rather than blushing, her face visibly paled, as though the words had struck directly at her heart.
Even Ariana’s eyelashes trembled. It was an incredibly tiny movement. Tiny enough that an ordinary person would never notice.
Unfortunately for her, everyone present was a cultivator.
Their eyes immediately shifted toward the seemingly sleeping girl.
"So..." Tamar drawled with an amused grin. "You weren’t sleeping?"
Realizing there was no escaping anymore, Ariana slowly opened one eye before opening the other.
She puffed out her cheeks slightly.
"I... I just woke up."
Her voice was quiet, almost innocent.
Unfortunately, not a single person believed her.
"Well, regardless of that. Tamar is right. Who’s going to do it first?"
Sera said seriously, a small frown on her face.
"I’ll do it. I’ve been the closest with him, and I don’t think he’ll reject me," Ariana said, a bit of confidence slipping into her voice.
"You sure?" Tamar asked, her eyes glinting. "I’m really scared. I know Seraph probably wouldn’t mind, but the four of us..."
Dera’s lips twitched as she looked at her sister and friends. "You guys... don’t you think it’s weird? Aren’t we supposed to be fighting each other for him?"
Ariana rolled her eyes. "Of course, that’s how it’s supposed to be. But we know we’re not the only one. There’s still Senior Sister Sylvia and that Elder Song too. I don’t know if there are others, but the number of women around Big Brother are not lacking."
Agreeing with her closest friend, Tamar nodded. "Rather than competing uselessly, it’s better to be united and seize him for herself."
"I never expected such words to come from you," Dera chuckled, an amused smile on her face.
Just then, Seraph returned to the room and was surprised to see them gathered together as if having a witch meeting. Although he was curious about their topic of discussion, he didn’t dwell on it too deeply and decided to say his own piece.
"I already spoke with Shenn, and you guys are welcome to stay around until I need you to leave."
Ariana blinked in confusion. "Need us to leave?"
She was confused, as she didn’t understand. However, this also proved that she was genuinely unconscious while Seraph was speaking with Tamar and the twins.
Sighing, Seraph made a quick explanation and informed her about his plans. Although she protested against him fighting alone, Seraph eventually convinced her to let him do it alone.
Besides, it wasn’t like he was going to let himself get killed.
After settling things with the girls, he finally realized that there was another issue at hand which was extremely important.
’Wait. Where would they stay?’
Seraph’s gaze slowly swept across the room before drifting toward the closed door.
Only then did the reality of the situation finally dawn on him.
’Hold on...’
He counted silently. Himself, the four girls, Bob and his wife.
That made seven people living under one roof.
He rubbed the bridge of his nose.
’This house isn’t exactly a mansion...’
Although the wooden house was comfortable enough for a family of two, adding five more cultivators was another matter entirely. The living room wasn’t large enough to accommodate everyone, and as far as he remembered, there were only two bedrooms. One belonged to Bob and his wife, while the other had been generously lent to him.
Silence settled over him as he pictured the sleeping arrangements.
’I can’t exactly ask Bob and his wife to sleep outside... nor can I chase these girls into the village in the middle of the night.’
His gaze slowly returned to the four young women.
They had already made themselves comfortable without asking for permission.
Tamar had claimed the chair near the window.
The twins quietly sat side by side on the bed, chatting in low voices.
As for Ariana...
She had somehow found the most comfortable corner of the room and was hugging a pillow as though she had lived there for years.
Seraph stared at the scene for several long seconds.
’...Why do I suddenly feel like this isn’t my room anymore?’
A faint sigh escaped his lips.
It seemed the decision had already been made without his involvement.
"Wait. Shouldn’t we discuss where you are going to stay for the mean time?"
They all turned to him with sharp looks.
Dera: "Hmph! So you can run away again? Not happening."
Sera: "Don’t worry, we’re not uncomfortable with it at all."
Tamar: "I agree with them. We need to keep an eye on you."
Ariana: "Don’t worry, Big Brother. We’ll take good care of you."
Although Seraph was specifically unnerved by Ariana’s statement, he simply shrugged and decided to go through with it.
It wasn’t like he was uncomfortable being around them. He was just trying to be considerable to them, nothing else.
Time passed swiftly, and night eventually won the match of time and the day passed away quietly.
Bob returned to his house and was stunned to find out that there were four young beauties of unimaginable strength in his house.
Although he was stunned, he didn’t let his thoughts get clouded. Instead, he easily accepted the fact that they were Seraph’s lovers and joined them at the dining table.
’Why do I have a feeling this man is misunderstanding something?’ Seraph thought after seeing the man’s weird smile directed at him.
’Whatever.’
Time passed swiftly, and three weeks had now passed since the four Soul Cross Sect disciples had arrived in Bob’s household. At first, he thought it’d be hard to have so many people in the house, but surprisingly, it was not so.
The girls never stepped out of Seraph’s room, and they would only come out at night for dinner. While Bob knew that they were probably cultivating, his wife had another scene of utter lewdness playing in her mind.
The only thing that left her uncertain was the fact that no sounds escaped the room, so she couldn’t be so sure. However, although she wasn’t a cultivator, she was aware that several artifacts could act as a sound suppression system.
Still, she kept her thoughts and ideas to herself. In the end, everything came to a single conclusion—Seraph was a seemingly inexhaustible man with high sexual drive and a thing for young girls.
Achoo!
"Hm, someone is talking bad about me?"
Rubbing his nose, Seraph’s expression turned sour, and he sighed. A few hours ago, he had already broken through to the Peak King Stage, and he could feel his body pulsing with energy and strength.
His closed eyes slowly opened.
Within their depths flickered a brighter, sharper light than before, carrying an indescribable sense of majesty. Every breath he drew felt lighter, while every movement of his body was filled with explosive strength waiting to be unleashed.
A faint smile tugged at the corners of his lips.
After weeks of uninterrupted cultivation, he had finally stepped into the Peak King Stage.
The familiar sensation of bottleneck and restraint had completely vanished, replaced by a gratifying feeling of freedom and overflowing power.
The subtle fluctuation immediately caught the attention of the four girls, who turned toward him almost simultaneously.
"Big Brother, you’ve broken through?"
Ariana asked, on all fours, her face just inches away from him as if she wanted to get an answer from the interior of his head.
Seraph nodded with a small smile. "I have."
The others also congratulated him, then got serious. It was finally time for their next move.
