Chapter 1051: Chapter 561: Capricious Joker, Byron’s Downfall_2
Byron remained unmoved, a ball of the finest [Panacea] in the material world oozing from his palm. After purging all genetic codes from himself, he hurled it toward those hands.
Whoosh...
Just like when feeding fish in the deep sea where organic matter is scarce, even a bit of food residue would attract thousands of fish swarming, desperately competing for it.
This ball of [Panacea] thrown down slightly reduced the chaos on the Mother of Monsters, yet it clearly made Her hungrier.
"Eat, eat, eat..."
The sharp screeches echoed even louder across the entire North Sea Region, having tasted a delicious morsel, now desperate to consume more flesh.
But this was exactly what Byron wanted.
He activated the Underworld Authority, plunging into the collective unconscious of the Bayfolk and scooped forcefully.
Spreading open his palm, there appeared a heap of golden anchors that seemed infinitely large, yet also infinitesimally small.
These were the Faith Anchor Chains previously anchored in advance by the Deep Dive Church, Worm Cathedral, and the Druid Sect in the ocean of the Bayfolk’s collective unconscious.
Belonging respectively to the [Slumbering God Kraken]; the [God of Abundance], the [Horned One] Sarnanos; and the [Gluttonous Prince Beelzebub].
The vanguard of each sect was exposed from the beginning, a mere group of Fourth Order Mythical Creatures, stealthily apprehended by his dispatched incarnations.
All the anchor chains in Iron Anchor Bay, the Eternal Night Peninsula, the Kalmar Triad, and the Kingdom of Hightins had already been precisely excised by the [Surgical Operation Table] and landed in Byron’s hands.
The original plan of the Old God Church Coalition was to have the [Noah’s Ark] and Touch of the Kraken press from one side while the six Old Gods outside the world pulled from the other.
To collectively drag the Bayfolk’s collective unconscious, which had already crumbled into sand, into the Sea of Origin Matter.
But now that good fortune was no longer available.
Byron looked at those two behemoths with a cold smirk:
"We Bayfolk are too big for you to consume.
[He whose name cannot be mentioned] has now become ’I kill myself,’ so you might as well give it a try with ’I eat myself.’"
He said while once again wrapping a pile of anchors with his own flesh and hurling it down.
Not only the Mother of Monsters, but these two demigod incarnations also had a share.
The [Mother of Monsters] consumed the anchor chains of the [Slumbering God Kraken]; and the [God of Abundance], the [Horned One] Sarnanos.
The [Touch of the Kraken] likewise devoured the anchor chain of the [Gluttonous Prince Beelzebub] without hesitation.
Simultaneously, the three mythical creatures already captured by Byron immediately sent a signal to the Old Gods outside the world, who only retained instinctual reactions after drowning—My master invites you to a feast!
Just as the countless bloody hands were about to touch the hem of Byron’s clothes.
Boom—!
The anchor chains swallowed into the ark’s belly were suddenly pulled taut, yanking Her into a stagger.
The initial prey target of the Old Gods had been the Bayfolk, but now it became the [Noah’s Ark] and the Touch of the Kraken, who had managed to return to the material world after much effort.
But essentially, it wasn’t much different.
In a place like the Sea of Origin Matter where "food" was scarce, having consumed countless humans in the material world and gradually "ascended," They, like Byron, were also a nourishing meal!
Once the Old Gods outside the world got hold of Them, there was no letting go.
The surroundings of the two Old God incarnations began to blur, sinking from the sea surface, not into the North Sea’s bottom, but into the world’s edge, even being forcibly dragged out of the material world!
In their survival instinct, They naturally resisted, pulling the numerous anchor chains taut.
But as time passed, though the anchor chains creaked and cracked noisily, the two of them never fully sank.
Byron suddenly realized a crucial issue, his face changing:
"Almost forgot, the basic attribute of the mythical warship [Noah’s Ark] is — unsinkable.
If it lacked this attribute, it couldn’t have carried the Pantheon through the Great Flood.
To rely solely on a few demigod corpses to sink it into the Sea of Origin Matter, the pulling force is obviously still lacking."
He reviewed the intelligence about Noah’s Ark again in the recently acquired soul of the [Primordial Core], confirming once more whether the threat was controllable.
Gritting his teeth, without sacrificing something, there couldn’t possibly be any gain, without risking himself, the Old Gods couldn’t be snared.
He willingly dropped onto the sea surface not far from the ark, slicing his wrist to scatter a large amount of Panacea into the seawater, redirecting their attention back onto himself.
Clap!
Then, he raised his hand and snapped his fingers.
The river water from the [Nether River] in his shadow instantly dyed the sea beneath his feet black.
Simultaneously, he opened the gateway to the edge of the world using Baron Saturday’s authority [Crossroads] with its life-and-death boundary.
Green light flickered on the horizon.
Byron turned and jumped right in.
This time, with delectable feasts at hand, the two Old God incarnations finally ceased resisting the pull from the other side of the anchor chain and followed headlong down.
The world turned upside down, the cold winds pierced to the bone; when their sight returned, they had arrived in a dim and lightless world, falling continuously from high up towards the ground.
Vast amounts of seawater poured down the sides like immense waterfalls, and forwards and backwards, endless wide fissures stretched, appearing as a sea abyss that could never be filled.
The sea abyss floor was a chilly, pale beach, with endless sand dunes, jagged reefs, and numerous scattered islands of varying sizes.
