Chapter 224: Chapter 193: High EQ: Got Shoulder-Thrown, Low EQ: Slipped

As a dominant force in their own right, the Ogres were not so easily routed.

Against the Beastmen, they had merely been beaten back, unable to fight effectively. But facing the Lord of High Cliff Castle, they were being outright slaughtered. Their simple minds couldn’t fathom how this shorty could possess such immense Power.

And after the magic they had placed so much hope in was easily blocked by the enemy, they could no longer bear the pressure. At that moment, fear took over.

They bypassed the Zor Priests they were supposed to be guarding and began to flee in disarray.

This left the four Zor Priests—dizzy and weak-legged from Magic Power exhaustion—as exposed as if they’d been stripped naked before the Lord.

With no one to block the way, it only took a few breaths for High Cliff Castle’s burly brutes to surround the four Zor Priests. They were like helpless little lambs encircled by a pack of wolves—weak, pitiful, and defenseless.

"Got you."

The Lord looked at the four female Zor Priests before him and flashed a grin, revealing two rows of pearly white teeth. With a wave of his hand, he ordered, "Tie them up for your Lord. And remember to gag them."

Several Beastmen lunged forward, instantly tying their hands and feet. Zat went even further, pulling out his own stinky socks. The stench, like raw fish left out for several days, was so overpowering that the female Zor Elves’ eyes rolled back in their heads as they gagged repeatedly.

Zat had no concept of being gentle with the fairer sex. He roughly stuffed the socks into the mouths of two of the Zor Elves, who promptly rolled their eyes and fainted from the smell.

"Boss, I’m out of socks," Zat said, scratching his head as he looked at the Lord.

Levi was not like that brute Zat; he still maintained a shred of noble bearing.

He took out two handkerchiefs and stuffed them into the mouths of the remaining two Zor Elves.

The two Zor Elves who had escaped the sock-fate looked on with lingering fear.

Compared to stinky socks, handkerchiefs were within their range of acceptance. Because of this, they even developed a slight favorable impression of the Lord.

"Time to scram." The Lord stopped the Beastman Barbarians who were preparing to intercept the approaching Ogre reinforcements.

The strategic objective of this battle had been achieved; there was no need to continue fighting.

After this short delay, the enemy’s Ogre reinforcements were only about a hundred paces away. But a distance that could normally be covered in a flash now seemed like an insurmountable chasm.

The Barbarians retreated toward the city wall behind them at an even faster pace.

No matter how furiously the Ogres behind them roared, they could only watch as the distance between them grew ever wider.

Levi soon regrouped with Mier and Masha.

Mier had made a decisive call, clearing a safe path of retreat for High Cliff Castle’s forces.

The Wilderness Alliance Army forces attacking the breach had been all but wiped out by the Feder Archers. Only about a hundred Minotaurs remained inside the breach, stubbornly holding on.

"Well done." He clapped Mier on the shoulder in approval.

He hadn’t kept Mier by his side, instead making him command the Feder Archers. His goal was to train him into a commander, not just a reckless brawler who only knew how to fight.

And Mier’s deployment this time, based on his independent assessment of the situation, proved that his efforts during this period had not been in vain.

The combination of his studies and real-world practice allowed him to grow rapidly, like a sponge soaking up water.

"Leave the rest to me!" Masha said, looking at the last of the Minotaurs in the breach. She grasped the Ice and Snow Goddess Badge hanging on her chest, and an ice-blue light shone from between her fingers.

After a lightning-fast chant, she summoned a giant snowball, six *ren* high, that rolled toward the group of Minotaurs like a war chariot.

Its power was far greater than imagined. The abundant Elemental Power allowed the snowball to easily crush the Minotaurs in the front before shattering into pure Ice and Snow Element, freezing dozens of the surrounding Minotaurs into ice sculptures.

In fact, Masha herself was a little surprised at how powerful her magic had become.

The snowy weather buffed her more than she had expected.

"Finish them off and take the wall!" The Lord snapped his fingers and was the first to charge.

In a flash, they finished off the few remaining Berserk Minotaurs.

Just as the Lord crossed the breach and was about to advance, a sound of something cutting through the air came from above.

"My Lord, look out!" the young Female Priestess cried out in alarm.

A giant hand, made entirely of tree trunks, was swinging down viciously from behind the city wall in a sneak attack.

BOOM!

With no time to even speak, the Lord demonstrated an extremely advanced Force-Relieving Technique in front of his prideful Barbarians, smoothly transitioning into a shoulder throw.

A massive, eight-*ren*-tall Tree-man flew out from behind the breach with a "BOOM," landing hard on the corpses below. It sent up a wave of flesh, just like stepping in ketchup.

This made the Barbarians shake their heads, offering a moment of silent prayer for the Tree-man. None knew better than them how painful their boss’s shoulder throw was.

At the same time, they felt they still had a long way to go to catch up to their boss.

"Son of a bitch."

Levi admitted he’d been startled. He had calculated every possibility, but he’d never expected to be on the receiving end of friendly fire.

"I am Baron Levi, Lord of High Cliff Castle of the Debei Kingdom! I am part of the reinforcements sent with Duke Fulina to aid our Elf friends!"

He shouted hurriedly.

Several approaching Tree-men stopped in their tracks. They looked at the group of shorties before them and began to whisper amongst themselves.
