Nothing much had changed with the system.
Noticing I had a notification I opened it up.
[Congratulations You have obtained 20 corruption points for causing your daughter to cum thrice in a single day.]
’Hmm? Three times?’ I was taken aback.
Based on my calculations it was supposed to be just 2.
’Could it be that time?’ I thought back to when she’d left in the middle of dinner and chuckled.
’This is to my benefit though.’
I smiled to myself.
Not in a haste to purchase anything I decided to focus all twenty corruption points on upgrading myself.
’Where do we start with? Strength?’
Seeing that strength was the closest to the threshold of a human’s limit, I was curious as to what would happen once I’d crossed the threshold.
Without hesitation, I quickly distributed five points to strength.
[Warning: Please note that its best to be at a secure place for the advancement to a superhuman. During the advancement, the host would experience excruciating pain.]
Hearing the system’s words my eyes narrowed.
For it to give me a warning, the pain I would endure couldn’t be negligible.
I frowned slightly, and decided not to delay any longer.
’Halt the process for now.’ I gave the command mentally and the system seemed to understand me.
The warning vanished from my line of sight.
I dashed to the wardrobe and took a light brown jacket before wearing it.
Following which, I changed into a long grey pants.
After checking on my wife to confirm that she was sleeping, I gave her a light kiss on the lips before exiting the room.
There was no one present in the sitting room, so without having to explain my destination I quickly left the door.
I placed my thumb on the fingerprint gate and it opened with a soft beep.
With that I exited the house as the gate closed behind me.
I glanced around briefly. The pale moon hung in the horizon, casting its soft glow on the surroundings.
Street lights flickered weakly in my line of sight.
Recalling a warehouse that had been abandoned a while ago, I decided to head there.
Since it was deserted, I didn’t have to fear anyone approaching the location, especially not at night at least.
With that in mind, I walked in the direction of the warehouse.
Although close by, it was still a 7 minute walk away from the estate.
Before long, I’d arrived.
After glancing around to ensure that there was no one present, I ordered the system to continue the process.
This time, as though the system could also tell that there’d be no danger, the corruption points vanished.
Swoosh!
A chilly wind blew by, causing me to shiver slightly.
Just as I thought nothing was going to happen, my eyes widened and I instantly collapsed to the ground.
’Th...’ before I could form a single thought, a wave of excruciating pain erupted violently across my body.
It was as though every part of me was being disintegrated and rapidly remodelled at an alarming rate.
My bones turned to jelly and my skin turned red as though it had melted.
It felt like an eternity had passed when the process began subsiding.
Still, even as it subsided, my hands trembled faintly, and it felt as though I had lost my life and resurrected.
I remained in the same position as the process silently completed itself.
The silence lingered for a few minutes.
After some time I finally gasped and finally felt the lingering pain leave my body.
"System, you didn’t tell me the pain would be so terrifying..." I rubbed the back of my neck as I slowly stood up.
I stretched lightly, and the moment I executed the gesture, my bones cracked like fireworks, echoing popping sound.
’Hmmm? So this is what it feels to be a superhuman? I don’t feel mu...’
I swung a punch as I was mumbling to myself, however my thoughts quickly trailed off as a resounding bang echoed and the air in front of me seemed to compress slightly with a ripple.
"This..." my eyes trembled in shock as I noticed this sight.
I threw out a few more punches, and it was like fireworks was raining down in the abandoned warehouse.
Recalling it was night and not wanting to alert others, I decided to withhold my movements for now.
I thought for a bit, and brought out my system panel once more.

After a moment of pondering, I decided to evolve my stamina as well.
As for agility, since it was a little high I would just allocate my remaining corruption points later on.
Taking in a deep breath, I assigned 12 corruption points to stamina.
I instantly braced myself for the excruciating pain.
Thankfully and surprisingly, it never came.
Instead, a strange surge of energy flowed throughout my body.
Whatever fatigue I’d been feeling seemed to have vanished into thin air.
My body felt light, almost as though I was floating.
It was as though all the hidden illnesses spread around my body had been cured completely.
I let out a faint breath, feeling the mysterious change surrounding my body.
’This is the effect of stamina surpassing the limit of a human?’
Nodding to myself, I assigned the remaining 3 points to agility.
Since it wasn’t surpassing the human’s limit, I couldn’t sense much change.
’Well... I guess that’s it for now?’ I ran a hand through my hair and let out a breath, feeling exhausted.
The exhaustion didn’t stem physically, but from everything I’d had to deal with over the past few days.
’Fuck... I need a smoke...’ I muttered.
Thankfully, I knew about a bar not too far from the warehouse.
With light steps I walked out of the warehouse.
As I walked, my body felt foreign.
I had to take a moment to readjust myself to my body.
...
After roughly 10 minutes, a young man could be seen seated at a bar.
The soft music in the background drifted about, cool and soothing.
Giggles and laughter echoed silently, giving him the pleasure of basking in the memory of his previous life.
’The good old days...’ I muttered, as I let out a puff of smoke.
"Thinking about something?" just then, a voice entered my ears.
It was light and feminine, drawing my attention.
I quickly turned around and noticed it was someone familiar.
"Linda?" I called out to confirm.
"Lucien?" there was a shift in Linda’s voice as she recognised me.
