[Third Personās PoV]
Lucian walked in front of Hestia and looked at her with a raised eyebrow, he then began raising them suggestively.
Hestiaās cheeks turned slightly red out of embarrassment and glared towards Lucian, "Why must you always embarrasse me so? Am I not your precious cute little aunt, wonāt you show pitiful little old me some mercy?" Hestia asked hopefully while trying to appear cute with beady eyes.
She saw Lucian look towards her tilting his head to the side, closing his eyes as he smiled affectionately at her. Seeing this Hestia grew hopeful, thinking that maybe she was safe from embarrassing herself.
However, she should have known to grow hopeful in front of Lucian.
"Get your ass up," Lucian said suddenly, still smiling affectionately.
Hestia had a knee-jerk reaction and blinked, wondering if she heard him correctly. "Excuse me?"
Lucian leaned closer to her, standing face to face while his expression hadnāt shifted for a second, "You heard me~" Lucian then began turning his head at a weird angle as then said, "After all~ You gave me your word~ It canāt be that the Holy Maiden Hestia, Known to be the most foreright Olympian, would fail to keep her word after she promised."
Lucian kept twisting his head with his every word and when he stood he was looking at her upside down.
Hestia let out a sigh as she asked, "Why do you do this to me?"
Lucian fixed himself and got on one knee, (1 millimeter off from touching the ground to be exact) and took her by surprise as he answered her truthfully.
"This might just be me involving myself in things I donāt truly understand or know. But you are hella under-appreciated" Lucian said earnestly.
"Um... what?" Hestia blinked, her eyes wide with surprise.
Lucian nodded firmly. "There are barely any legends or stories about you. For heavenās sake, youāre literally one of the most important goddesses. Itās absolutely crazy to me that you donāt get the recognition or appreciation you deserve."
He chuckled softly before continuing. "Iāve always had a soft spot for those who go unnoticed despite their incredible worth. Thatās why I go out of my way to ābotherā you or drag you out in front of everyone. I want people to see you, to recognize how amazing you are. And yeah, I take you dancing even though I know itās a little out of your comfort zoneābecause I want you to have fun for a change."
He smirked mischievously as he added, "And donāt even try to deny it. I know you had a blast last time, even if you said it was embarrassing."
Lucian gently tapped a finger against her nose, his tone softening. "So, Iām going to keep pestering you and showing you the love you deserve. Someone has to celebrate all the hard work you do taking care of the Hearthā And since no one else is doing it then I guess that means it must be up to me."
Lucian then pushed himself up and extended his hands towards her with a smile, "So come on already and get off that butt of yours already, your nephew here has some love to show you"
Hestia couldnāt help it, she burst out laughing, probably the hardest she had ever laughed to the point she was holding her stomach and tears were gathering out of the corner of her eyes.
Lucianās cheeks gained a red tint seeing laughing so much.
Hestia let out a breath as she wiped her tears and put her hand over Lucianās outstretched one. She looked at him teasingly as she said, "And youāre right about one thing, you are involving yourself in something you donāt understand, I chose for things to be like this, I donāt like the limelight or being at the center stage"
She then got herself up with Lucianās help and looked at him lovingly, "But that doesnāt mean I donāt appreciate or understand what you are trying to do or get at. Thank you Lucian, thank you for appreciating me"
She smiled before she clasped his hand and lifted up in the air while shouting, "As you said letās go and raise that roof!!"
...
"What the hell did we just witness?" Percy asked, leaning against a tree with everyone else, his face a mix of confusion and shock.
"Iām with Percyāwhat the hell was that?" Clarisse added, her expression equal parts disturbed and bewildered.
"The scariest side of Lucian..." Annabeth sighed, running a hand through her hair as if trying to shake off the memory.
"Excuse me?" Bianca interjected, raising an eyebrow in disbelief.
"No, sheās right," Thalia said, her expression wary. "That Lucian, is the scariest part of him."
"Really?" Percy asked skeptically. "I thought the scariest thing about Lucian was when he fought while unconscious. Now that was terrifying."
Nico, holding a giant plate of food and chewing enthusiastically, chimed in with his mouth full. "Whyās that the scariest? I thought he was just being nice."
Bianca gave her younger brother a disgusted look. "Nico, donāt talk with your mouth full. Itās both rude and gross."
In response, Nico dramatically opened his mouth, proudly displaying the half-chewed contents.
"Ugh, I canāt even look at you," Bianca groaned, turning away in disgust.
Looking entirely too pleased with himself, Nico turned to Annabeth and Thalia, still confused. "Seriously though, what are you guys talking about?"
Annabeth let out a long, exhausted sigh. "Objectively speaking, Lucian is very attractiveāand Iām not just saying that because Iām his girlfriend. He knows this, of course. But itās more than looksāhe has this... natural charisma. He can turn on this ābad boyā charm that makes him seem like the coolest guy youāve ever met. You canāt help but want to be his friend."
Thalia nodded in agreement. "Thatās the Lucian we all know and are used to. But the scary part? Itās when he turns off that ābad boyā persona. When he drops the sarcasm and chaos and becomes... sincere. Genuine."
Annabeth added, her tone thoughtful, "Thereās a saying: The greatest power is the one that can end a war without fighting. Thatās Lucian when heās sincere and genuine. He has this almost unnatural ability to connect with people, to make them listen and believe in him. If he didnāt love fighting so much, he could use that power to change the world."
Nico swallowed a mouthful of food and gave them both a skeptical side-eye. "Iām still just a kid, so maybe Iām not getting it, but what the hell are you even talking about?"
Annabeth scratched her chin, exchanging a glance with Thalia. They both knew what they were trying to say but struggled to put it into words.
"How do I explain this..." Annabeth muttered before snapping her fingers. "Okay, hereās an example. Take what just happened. Lucian, with nothing but his sincerity and natural charisma, can somehow make a goddessāwhoās kept a sacred vow for over a million yearsābe willing to break it... Iām not saying Lady Hestia would, donāt get me wrong. Itās just Lucian could potentially... You know" Annabeth said, moving her hands as if balancing a scale, "Make them reconsider everything"
"Okay, now youāre just exaggerating," Percy said with a straight expression.
"You all literally saw what just happened" Thalia said returning the expression.
āWait till they learn he has the three goddesses of Fate at his beck and callā Both Thalia and Annabeth thought simultaneously.
...
"Go Auntie! Raise the roof Auntie! Go! Go! Go Auntie!" Sang the being who has the three goddesses of Fate at his beck and call raising his arms upwards.
Hestia had her eyes closed and was smiling and definitely raising the roof.
Both Lucian and Hestia let out a "Wooooo!" As they had their hands fist raised in the air before they rotated their fist going in a circle in front of each other.
They both then began doing the cleopatra in opposite direction of one another.
