Chapter 2221: Chapter 639: Xiao Hei Captured (Part 6)

No one knows that beneath this bar lies a small figure imprisoned.

In the basement of Middle Night, the corridor lights are dim, and on either side of the concrete floor are several rooms with black iron doors tightly shut. Countless painful howls and shadows emanate from the rooms, creating an eerie echo in the empty concrete passage.

At the end of the corridor is a pitch-black iron cage. Inside, a small boy dressed in dark shorts and a short-sleeved shirt lies on the ground. His complexion is pallid, his breath weak, and his face is covered in bruises.

Just then, a sound of footsteps approached from afar, revealing a group of people emerging from the darkness.

Leading them was a woman, a woman that An Yiqing was exceedingly familiar with—Jiang Xuerou.

"Miss, the person is inside, do you want to wake him up?"

Jiang Xuerou cast a cold glance at the unconscious Xiao Hei before turning to walk towards a nearby room, "Wake him up and bring him over."

The few behind her looked sympathetically at Xiao Hei, knowing that anyone who entered that room could never leave intact. Let alone a child of five or six years old.

As the group carried Xiao Hei into the room, Jiang Xuerou was sitting on a lounge chair. Next to her was a long table covered with various tools—iron hooks, Pipa Claws, branding irons, iron whips bristling with spikes, ox tendon cords, and various injection drugs.

This room was used by the Galaxy Sect branch to interrogate and torture prisoners. Those responsible for the task were seasoned veterans who understood the human body intricately. Anyone leaving here would either die, be crippled, or go insane.

Now, Jiang Xuerou had brought a child in, clearly intending to torment him fiercely.

Looking at the boy tied to the pillar, Jiang Xuerou’s face twisted with malice, her whole being exuding a sinister aura. As the esteemed daughter of the Jiang Family, a returning scholar, she should have been Flower Island’s most envied socialite. But ever since she met that woman, everything was ruined! Because of the entertainment gossip from Flower Island, Li Yuphei dismissed her, Li Yuhang disliked her, and those close to the Li Family were all her adversaries. Worst of all, her father and grandfather made her apologize publicly!

Clearly, the mistake was that woman’s, so why should she apologize! She had fallen from a wealthy heiress to a laughingstock in the social circle, wherever she went, people talked behind her back, and those she once ridiculed all turned to scorn her!

If not for that woman, how could she have sunk to such a low?! Even her father and grandfather, who always cherished her, did not support her but sided with that woman!

She had endured long enough, continually pondering how to make that woman suffer. She knew the woman greatly valued the boy by her side. What adopted brother? Nonsense! Just a bastard child! Everyone was fooled by her; such an indiscreet woman, what’s so good about her?!

Since An Yiqing cherishes this child, she’ll make sure she feels the agony of losing what’s most important!

Slowly rising, her fingers traced a curve across the long table, eventually stopping at the iron whip adorned with spikes.

"Wake him up."

Upon hearing Jiang Xuerou’s command, a subordinate promptly grabbed a basin of ice water and poured it abruptly over Xiao Hei’s head.

Whoosh—the piercing cold shot straight to the marrow, causing Xiao Hei to shiver and gradually open his eyes.

Surveying the unfamiliar environment and faces, a flicker of surprise and confusion flashed in his eyes. Then he recalled the moment he was drugged in the bathroom, and clarity dawned in his heart.

He had been captured.

Gazing faintly at Jiang Xuerou, who held the iron whip, Xiao Hei’s expression remained unchanged, lowering his eyes. Having lived over twenty thousand years, in his memory, he’s faced countless near-death experiences. This trifling affront was hardly worth mentioning. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶

Nonetheless, Xiao Hei’s demeanor only fueled Jiang Xuerou’s feeling of being belittled, instantly igniting her fury.

"Raise your head!"

Xiao Hei remained still, keeping his head down.

"I told you to raise your head!" Jiang Xuerou’s voice was sharp and piercing, haunting the empty room.

Several subordinates swiftly moved forward, one clasping Xiao Hei’s head and tilting it back.

"The lady told you to lift your head, are you deaf?!"

Xiao Hei’s head was forced up, but his eyes stayed downcast, reminiscent of an old man, calm and unperturbed. He was silent, his scalp painfully gripped, yet he neither moved nor cried out.

"As obnoxious as An Yiqing!" The calmer Xiao Hei remained, the more Jiang Xuerou resented him, clutching the whip tightly and lashed it upon Xiao Hei’s small body, "Let’s see how long you can hold out! Beg me! Do you hear? Beg me!"
