Chapter 99: Chapter 99: I can’t just watch her hurt you
Thomas Shannon ignored Amelia Shaw, his face stern. "Maniac, stop!"
Sophie Sullivan’s gaze was sinister. She stared intently at the maid. Seeing Thomas Shannon shield the maid, her lips hooked into a cold sneer, "Then I’ll kill you first!"
The fruit knife in her hand was raised high into the air as she fiercely slashed it down at him.
Agile, Thomas Shannon dodged, appearing behind her. He grabbed her wrist and applied pressure.
Sophie Sullivan’s wrist went numb, and the fruit knife clattered to the ground.
Clenching her teeth, she turned, her eyes glaring at Thomas Shannon with cold fury. "I’m going to kill you!"
Thomas Shannon’s eyes darkened. Kill me? Let’s see if she has what it takes!
Twisting her arms behind her back, Thomas Shannon freed one of his own. "Give me a pair of handcuffs!"
Charlie River quickly brought the handcuffs. "Young Master, here are the handcuffs you asked for."
CLICK.
The cold metal of the handcuffs snapped around Sophie Sullivan’s wrists.
Thomas Shannon released his grip and impatiently undid two buttons of his shirt. His handsome face was terrifyingly grim. "Get the doctor for me!"
The maid lowered her head, her voice trembling with residual fear. "Young Master, the maniac injected the doctor with a sedative...
"He’s already unconscious in the maniac’s bedroom."
Thomas Shannon cursed under his breath, "Damn it!"
With her hands bound, Sophie Sullivan started using her legs.
She raised a leg, aiming a kick at Thomas Shannon, but he caught her ankle in mid-air.
Balancing on one leg, Sophie Sullivan swayed, her resentful and fierce gaze like that of a death-bringer emerging from hell.
A sinister chill emanated from her, an appalling darkness that sent shivers down the spine.
"Behave!" Thomas Shannon’s cold eyes narrowed, blue veins throbbed on his forehead.
His patience was at its breaking point.
Amelia Shaw softly reminded him, "Thomas, she’s completely mad... Do you think she can even understand you?"
Just then, Sophie Sullivan became unsteady, her body swaying. Thomas Shannon took the opportunity to release her leg.
But this was merely a ruse. The moment her legs were free, Sophie Sullivan fiercely launched another attack.
This time, Thomas Shannon moved swiftly behind her and struck the back of her neck with the side of his hand.
Sophie Sullivan’s eyes closed, and her body went limp, slumping softly.
Thomas Shannon caught her as she fell, gathering her into his arms before heading upstairs.
Amelia Shaw was horrified. Where is he taking her?
"Thomas, she’s too dangerous! We should isolate her first. I’m afraid you’ll get hurt," Amelia Shaw pleaded, rushing forward to block his path with her arms outstretched.
"Out of the way!"
Amelia Shaw shook her head. "No, I can’t just stand by and watch her hurt you!"
"Get out of my way!" Thomas Shannon roared.
Tears streamed down Amelia Shaw’s face.
He yelled at me in front of so many people, all for that maniac...
An indescribable bitterness filled her heart. Amelia Shaw stumbled back, clearing the way.
Stubbornly biting her lip, she watched him with tear-filled eyes.
Carrying the maniac, Thomas Shannon had taken only a few steps upstairs when he suddenly stopped.
He slowly turned his head. His icy gaze landed on Amelia Shaw’s face, his voice as cold as ever. "Since you’re so determined to be a servant here, you’d better learn to follow the rules!"
"Thomas, does this mean you’ll let me stay?" A flicker of excitement ignited in Amelia Shaw’s heart, and a smile broke through her tears. "Yes, I understand. I know what to do."
With a cold snort, Thomas Shannon continued upstairs, carrying Sophie Sullivan.
